Thanks for the update silverrings, I'll check on Monday.

Sevensilverrings · 07/02/2021 13:16

@PeaceLoveAndCandy, Kiln had been emptied, so here’s the results. The glass has made the glaze a little darker than I’d hoped, but nothing broken, which is always good!
I don’t know if you’d prefer the set of three or a couple of the other ones that fit together but not as snuggly? Let me know and I’ll pop them in the post for you! Thanks for giving me a fun distraction!

Thanks. (Blush). It’s strange sharing this sort of thing online, but it’s been fun, and a lovely distraction from the other less simple things in life right now!

Also...from a ‘passing it forward’ point of view...the glass melted in the bottom is from a trip to Venice glass factories two years ago where I got talking about ceramic glass melts to a very very old glass blower, and he gifted me a sack of offcut glass in the most amazing colours. It was such a lovely gift, and one that’s put a little love and Italian sunshine in the bottom of every pot since, including these ones.

TheSpottedZebra · 07/02/2021 17:10

This thread warms my cold dead heart Grin

I love this thread! Has made me surprisingly tearful.
Fucking love mumsnet!

newname2021 · 07/02/2021 17:38

I've just seen this thread for the first time. When I started out I had no idea what you would need said teaspoon rest for. When I got to the photo of the nested rests I let out an audible 'oooo'.

Now I need not only a teaspoon rest but a nested set of teaspoon rests.
