What can I buy from Argos for £4ish to win a bet?

I have £4 worth of Argos vouchers that run out on Friday.
Dh tried to throw them in the bin this morning, saying that I wouldn’t be able to get anything worth having with them without adding a lot on.
I need to win this bet as I lost the last one and haven’t lived it down.

I thought I’d cracked it when I found a pair of slippers but you have to pay online for TU clothes and the vouchers can’t be used online.
We have a 2 year old so stocking filers are a possibility. Please hit me with your best suggestions so that I can wipe the smug look off dh’s face. Grin

Haven't decided on the name yet. But mines definitely female as I'm pretty outnumbered in my house. Maybe Raven the raven?

OwlinaTree · 26/10/2018 22:43

I think mine is female too.

CharlotteUnaNatalieThompson · 26/10/2018 22:44

So I've actually officially lost the plot. I just googled 'good name for a raven' and found this:

www.20000-names.com/animal_crow_names_raven_names.htm

Merle will be joining our family tomorrow 😂😂😂

OwlinaTree · 26/10/2018 22:44

I like Raven the raven. I met a little girl called Haven the other day. Maybe go with that?

OwlinaTree · 26/10/2018 22:46

After looking at that link I'm going for Branwen

OwlinaTree · 26/10/2018 22:47

I am quite drunk btw

CharlotteUnaNatalieThompson · 26/10/2018 22:48

Good choice! Not tempted by Angwusnasomtaqa? 😂

whippetwoman · 26/10/2018 22:55

Got my raven today. Met up with DP in Sainsbury’s and was holding said raven. He looked at it and said “you know that raven is £4 don’t you”. Turns out he already knew about the ravens as he had seriously considered buying one the day before and ruled it as being too expensive. I soon put him right. Also, had to get the lady to help as the self scanner didn’t recognise my raven. She was highly amused putting it through. And then, I kid you not, walking down the street, a lady said “I like your raven” and she ADMIRED it.
It’s been a great day today.

They are so mumsnetters!!!

CarryOnScreamingValenta · 26/10/2018 23:38

Fighting the temptation to get one tomorrow Halloween Blush. The last thing I need is more 'stuff' but they all look so handsome in your pics!

Just found this thread and had a giggle. Hope the raven on the door handle went down well.

We bought the baby raven from sainsbury's about two weeks ago. My mother in law said that they had a staff, and my daughter wanted one to go with her Halloween outfit (Malificent). Whilst there (about 9pm) I was talking to a member of staff and mentioned that she also wanted a crow, but I thought the only place we would get one was the rspb wetlands. She showed me the raven, and I figured it was the nearest we would get. Daughter was over the moon and took the crow with her when they wore Halloween outfits to brownies.

blaaake · 27/10/2018 00:39

This thread is brilliant. I really want a Raven now so might have to pop to Argos tomorrow...

MonsterRAVENLooneyParty · 27/10/2018 01:14

I forgot to buy mine today :-( will send DH tomorrow on yet another mad errand hehe

SisyphusHadItEasy · 27/10/2018 02:02

I am under incredible stress right now.

My DD's 13th birthday party is on Sunday and I honestly don't know of anyone is going to show up (she is disabled and having friends at her party is so important to her).

I need a raven to add to our household so we can dress it seasonally and name it Poe. That will solve everything, right?

BlueBug45 · 27/10/2018 02:05

Yes.

Raven solve everything.

Rach000 · 27/10/2018 10:01

nonevernotever · 27/10/2018 16:02

BlueBug45 · 27/10/2018 16:07

@nonevernotever raven in another language? After a famous person who has something to do with ravens or horror? Or after your DH from calling the eccentric you mad?
