So, I'm off work on annual leave with DS. Just been out for the day and just got home to find that it's school run time. We live near a first school so obviously the streets are lined with cars. Someone has parked on my drive and someone else is blocking them in!
Now I imagine that as no one is ever here during the day, these people have been doing this for some time (we've only lived here 3 months and the house was emtpy for a year before that). I've squeezed in beside the car blocking the drive so they won't be able to get our (remember the scene from Friends with Ross's sports car?) and therefore the car on my drive can't escape either.
AIBU to just sit here with a cuppa and watch this all play out while pretending not to be in?

Haha, go OP and DH.

Some years ago, someone from the school run parked on my drive. I just happened to pop home as I realised I'd forgotten something. I only worked a mile away so decided to park behind them and go to work. They called the police but were told that it was tough luck.

I moved when I got home at 5.30pm.

RadicalFern · 15/06/2018 21:24

This thread is so satisfying to read. I feel like giving OO and her DH three loud cheers. In a world where there is often a lack of justice, this goes a little way to redressing the balance...

RadicalFern · 15/06/2018 21:24

I'd still be letting the school know on Monday though, they need to be told by the head of the school that they support the poor neighbours not the few CF parents!

SauvignonBlanche · 15/06/2018 21:39

That’ll teach them Grin

Gazelda · 15/06/2018 21:39

At exactly 10 tomorrow, emerge from your home dressed in your most fabulous outfit with hair and make up done. Take your phone out and make a point of slowly taking pics of each of the cars from all angles.

Tell them how rude they have been to a) park where they did yesterday b) leave aggressive notes, c) neglect to apologise.

Advice them that you have given all evidence to the school and you don't expect to see them parked on or across your driveway again.

Then want to your car, move it benevolently and return indoors without so much as a slam.

Keep the higher ground.

WhatToDoAboutWailmerGoneRogue · 15/06/2018 21:40

What an excellent outcome! Maybe it’ll make them think twice in future about being CFs.
