I know I'm not being unreasonable about this parking!!! (with diagram)

But I thought I'd share anyway.

This happens on our street a LOT and I just don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate, the gap between the wing mirror and wall isn't big enough for a child to slip through and the car is so huge it blocks pedestrians from seeing whats coming without stepping into the road.
Not to mention that he's parked on a T-junction.

GRR!

Thank you for my diagram compliments Blush I'm DEFINITELY not procrastinating from getting work done, as you can tell by my addition of gardens and soft pastel shading...

10/10 for the quality is of the diagram, Op.
Can I see the keys left in the lock on the front door?

We have pratts like this all over our town, and we have loads of free car parks. They need their cars taken away and crushed.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 13/01/2018 13:32

That’s what you call door to door service...

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 13:33

And is that their own front door they are half obscuring, or someone else’s? I would be furious if that was my house.

That is one of my neighbour's houses. I actually only knew about CF parking because she facebooked me all angry that her front door was full of Landrover.

Slightly agog that you can get that information so easily, Maxima!!

crazycatgal · 13/01/2018 13:34

I hope they get a fine for both parking and the vehicle being untaxed.

bummymummy77 · 13/01/2018 13:34

Wow. And wow op. Are you single? 😍

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 13:35

Crikey, good detective work! Just run out and yes, keys left in lock. Neighbour has retrieved them now.

Mumsnet at its finest!

Maybe its stolen.

blueskyinmarch · 13/01/2018 13:37

Ooh well done OP. You have provided a great MN service there!

BewareOfDragons · 13/01/2018 13:39

Sincerely hoping that nail the driver for it being untaxed AND parked like an entitled twat.

Well done, OP.

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 13:41

Wow. And wow op. Are you single?

I'm spending my Saturday afternoon working, drawing diagrams and reporting bad parking to the Fuzz - probably safe to say that I'm Very Single. Grin

Oooh I can totally get overinvested in this thread. Hope it gets towed.

Namechangetempissue · 13/01/2018 13:43

Wow, bad day all round for the driver Grin what a shame (insert sarky face).
It is very easy to get tax and MOT information, all freely available on the GOV site. I regularly check for my customers when they have a panic that they have forgotten their MOT date or to tax (so, so common).

NeilPetark · 13/01/2018 13:44

Mumsnet at its finest!

Certainly is!

PoisonousSmurf · 13/01/2018 13:46

Is that a regular thing? It looks like there is plenty of space further up.
Needs a nice friendly like note: 'You may find pieces of your car being damaged parking like this...'

bingbongnoise · 13/01/2018 13:46

I LOVE the diagram with the letters CF to denote the guilty party! Grin

I would defo put a note on and tell him not to park there again or you will call the police.

Sadly, some people are just utter cunts. He is probably the same sort of person who chucks drink cans and mcdonalds wrappers out of the car window, and into the bushes, and doesn't give a fuck.

We also deal with these, with the added bonus of bottles of amber covered liquid on verges. Boak.

citybzg · 13/01/2018 13:49

OP you have levelled up.

This is an absolutely perfect way to proceed.

bummymummy77 · 13/01/2018 13:49

Can't understand why you're single op (unless you want to be.)

The diagrams, the ordered lists, the eye for detail and protocol. 😍

Situp · 13/01/2018 13:49

Shamelessly placemarking.

Best parking thread I have ever seen.

  1. Fantastic diagram
  2. No ambiguity over who is the wanker
  3. Developing drama with 101, housekeys and tax situation
  4. OP has been proactive instead of just handwringing on MN
  5. Prompt and exciting updates

OP you have definitely raised the bar.

bummymummy77 · 13/01/2018 13:50

This needs to be made a sticky thread for future reference for other cf parking threads.

DunkandEgg · 13/01/2018 13:50

I recently put an angry note on a car because the twat driver had parked it in the actual pavement itself - no space to get past with my pushchair when we were all out. Thankfully I had paper and pen.
It said along the lines of, "HOW IS A WHEELCHAIR OR A BUGGY SUPPOSED TO GET PAST, YOU INCONSIDERATE ARSE!"

It felt good.
