But I thought I'd share anyway.

This happens on our street a LOT and I just don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate, the gap between the wing mirror and wall isn't big enough for a child to slip through and the car is so huge it blocks pedestrians from seeing whats coming without stepping into the road.
Not to mention that he's parked on a T-junction.

GRR!

Missed a good parking thread

Snotgobbler99 · 13/01/2018 14:24

Suggest OP finds a handy white stick and walks into the side of the car, excellent opportunity to eavesdrop as you sit in pavement looking baffled...

(But really, Im just placemarking).

MadMags · 13/01/2018 14:25

Is that why I'm getting so much condensation on my bedroom windows? Thought I had fucking mould the other day.

Is it the double glazing??

bingbongnoise · 13/01/2018 14:25

@bummymummy77

pickle officer BAHAHAHA!!!! Curse you autocorrect!

Offered them a cup of tea because I can't contained my British and also mentioned it was untaxed.

Utterly brilliant!

OP, I fucking fucking LOVE you. LOVE YOU I say. Grin

@Motherofasurvivor

Police are knocking on doors to find owner. They seem nice. Old man in strange Russian hat has decided this is more interesting than walking his dog and has stopped for a gawp.

I'm trying hard to watch out of - - shit-- window without being seen by police and looking like a loon.

Unfortunately I don't have a good view of the car at all and could only see if owner comes out if I actually went and stood outside. I'm embarassed enough for caring 101 without being a curtain twitcher too!

myfriendswillcallmeval · 13/01/2018 14:26

Oooooh what a great parking thread. Police and all. But no penguin bollard

MadMags · 13/01/2018 14:27

Stick your head out, OP.

Feel shame on your own time!

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 14:27

Right, I'm going out on the pretence of offering biscuits.

Offering biscuits GrinGrinGrin

athingthateveryoneneeds · 13/01/2018 14:28

Too bad you don't have a dog that needs walking too, op. Perhaps you can borrow a cup of sugar from the neighbour.

TeaAndToast85 · 13/01/2018 14:28

Please get the towing away money shot, it would make my day

PitilessYank · 13/01/2018 14:28

Excellent thread.

I would like to also praise you for your excellent penmanship (penwomanship?) on the letter. You have very nice handwriting.

SauvignonBlanche · 13/01/2018 14:28

How exciting! Grin

HolidayHelpPlease · 13/01/2018 14:28

Wanted to joIn in to say that is a DREAM of a diagram and try the unibond 360 for the damp - I have single glazed windows (w wooden frames!) and they are so wet they literally drip (also renting) but the unibond has been great, really helped

Snotgobbler99 · 13/01/2018 14:28

What sort of biscuit?

KayaG · 13/01/2018 14:28

A most excellent thread.

TeaAndToast85 · 13/01/2018 14:28

I'm really excited

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 14:29

My biscuits were rejected, which makes me judge them slightly as they are top notch biscuit offerings.

I'd really like a biscuit now. I think I have some monte carlos.

Roussette · 13/01/2018 14:30

Excellent thread. Diagram is the best I've seen (especially as the car drawn was so sweet. Looked like PPat's van!)

What I want to happen now is this...

Driver comes back and starts threatening one of the police. They have to grapple with him and put him in a headlock and then hold him face down on the pavement and put him in handcuffs. (Pictures provided on here) One of the policeman is particularly handsome and knocks on OP's door to thank her, and tell her he is a chummy they've been looking for, for days. He accepts a cup of tea whilst his colleague takes in driver. Policeman asks OP if she'd like to go for a drink next week. OP accepts....

MadMags · 13/01/2018 14:30

You'd have gotten them with HobNobs Sad

PitilessYank · 13/01/2018 14:31

I wouldn't eat anything marked "Digestives", but I am an uncouth resident of the US.

Sorry that your biscuits were rejected.

myfriendswillcallmeval · 13/01/2018 14:31

Ay it's because they're caramel. Dark choc digestives would've done the trick
