Read the Damn Post! AIBU

This really gets my goat and I probably need to chill the fuck out but I find it so annoying!

Someone will post an AIBU e.g.
DD (9) has done X,Y & Z, I think she is old enough to know better DH disagrees and she is just a kid still WIBU?

Followed by a flood of posters - How old is DD? What age is your daughter? etc....

Sometimes the answer to the question is in the thread title FGS [facepalm]

Some threads are long, I get that but at least read the blinking OP before responding! AIBU and this is something I shouldn't care about?

Littledidsheknow · 27/04/2017 12:54

Did you not consider the possibility that they may have SN, OP? Hmm

InfiniteSheldon · 27/04/2017 12:58

are you the poster with the weeping bicycle monkeys? If so you keep the goat you could start a zoo, perhaps in Maui

DancingLedge · 27/04/2017 12:58

You clearlyclearly need to go NC with the goat

TakeMeUpAndAway · 27/04/2017 12:58

YANBU.
Cancel the cheque.

GreenHillsSunnySkies · 27/04/2017 12:59

Haven't RTFT but what's the point of posting a thread asking AIBU when you don't think you are? Are you just looking for pats on the back for going against gender norms and naming your boy Sue? It's not even like it's that original an idea. There's even been a song about it. You're just setting poor ds up for a lifetime of brawling in bars.

Also, not wanting to derail but really do want to make it about me has anyone any ideas on how to stop my neighbour's goat (5) picking on my alpaca (3)? We have a shared driveway so I can't put a fence up.

treaclesoda · 27/04/2017 13:00

It's definitely illegal OP. Looking at a goat is actually classed as assault on mumsnet. Have you reported it, so that it can be logged on the mythical database that records everything that has ever mildly irritated a mumsnetter ?

TheWeevilincidentof2009 · 27/04/2017 13:01

GreenHills - we need a diagram of the driveway.

TheTabardOfDoom · 27/04/2017 13:01

I think you would benefit from getting a goat OP. They make fine pets and there are several good books available on the care and management of them. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 27/04/2017 13:02

I hate 'I haven't RTFT but.......'

Just RTFT you lazy arse. They want people to read what they post presumably but CBA to read anyone else's.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 27/04/2017 13:03

You have 9 DD's?

TheDevilMadeMeDoIt · 27/04/2017 13:04

Your goat sounds like a narc.

Have you spoken to the goat about it?

InfiniteSheldon · 27/04/2017 13:05

Haven't RTFT should get you a month ban

LukesDiner · 27/04/2017 13:05

Is the goat's SiL still blocked from coming to the naming ceremony after saying the things she did on facebook?

DancingLedge · 27/04/2017 13:05

And that's why I would never buy a house with a shared driveway.
Because I always foresee the consequences of everything, that's what enables me to know better than you.

Why did you get an alpaca if you can't afford a separate driveway?

Allthebestnamesareused · 27/04/2017 13:05

"the 'Su' is silent" Grin Grin Grin

spiderlight · 27/04/2017 13:05

TheWeevilincidentof2009 - the @ thing is a new MN feature that lets you tag another poster so that they get an email notifying them that they've been mentioned. I shall demonstrate (hopefully) - @TheWeevilincidentof2009 - did that work? Nobody has ever @ed me so I'm not entirely sure of the mechanics of it.

Allthebestnamesareused · 27/04/2017 13:06

Obviously the goat should not have got a detention for that! Are you sure the goat has told you the whole story?

mummytime · 27/04/2017 13:06

I like Seraphina for a goat.

Umm seriously I don't use the @ thing, but if you use it, it triggers a notification the the MNer mentioned (I have been mentioned thus in posts myself, and received said notifications).

OP did you say if your DC is left or right handed?

Allthebestnamesareused · 27/04/2017 13:07

@spiderlight they have now! Does it work?

ludog · 27/04/2017 13:09

I think it's terrible to misspecies your animal like this...how do you know it doesn't identify as a llama?

spiderlight · 27/04/2017 13:11

@Allthebestnamesareused I haven't had an email or an inbox message yet but I shall await it eagerly Grin

Alexandra87 · 27/04/2017 13:11

I was just going to ask for a diagram of your driveway but since I have rtft I can see @TheWeevilincidentof2009 has beaten me to it Grin

GreenHillsSunnySkies · 27/04/2017 13:11

Weevil I would but it's too outing, really should have name changed before even mentioning my DAlpaca, now I'm worried about pervs putting pics of him on 'paca porn sites. Do you think the Daily Fail will pick this up? Should I ask MNHQ to delete my post?

HairsprayBabe · 27/04/2017 13:11

I have one DD ages nine she can do the whole alphabet - sorry for drip feed

1 DG 7.25 years no name - free range and female.

We home educate them both, goat is vegan, DD exclusively eats hummus.

It doesn't matter who paid for the goat. It's family money.
