That was reference to the blu tac idea.

I was going to make some crumpets but now i think I'm off food forever

santasballsackisnolonger · 04/02/2014 09:34

Squeezed gently? What would you have done if it had spurted? Never ever squeeze anything! Baby pear mice do NOT like being squeezed!

santasballsackisnolonger · 04/02/2014 09:35

Im in costa trying to sit sedately with a cappuccino but I keep guffawing. I think they think im slightly special!

WowserBowser · 04/02/2014 09:37

I remember years ago someone telling me about drinking one of those bottles of milkshake and a big mound of mould went in to his mouth.

I shall remember this too.

Unless Sunday's sensible suggestion is correct.

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:37

Baby pear mice Sad Grin

I ended up having toast instead. You know where you are with toast. Nothing can jump out at you.

I think it's an ancient, cursed toad. You'll just get plagues and swarms and that bothering you for, ooh, probably 40 days and 40 nights. Some people have real problems, you know...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/02/2014 09:37

OK Hairy - you know you need to retrieve it and investigate.

Don't even consider giving it to the guinea-pigs though. They are guinea-pigs but not Guinea-Laboratory-Test-Creature-Pigs (so mine tell me)

And they might morph into weirdy spider/alien/guinea hybrids.
Try catching them then Wink

Sundays suggestion is hardly likely when compared to huge moths, hairy spider nests and baby mice though is it?

FairPhyllis · 04/02/2014 09:39

I hear that alien spider babies usually crawl out of your nose and ears when it's time for them to hatch.

WowserBowser · 04/02/2014 09:39

Yes, Sunday's does sound a bit far fetched

MistyB · 04/02/2014 09:41

Will you let your DH / DC's dissect it for us later so we can all find out what was in it?

Mordirig · 04/02/2014 09:41

It looks like there is webbing attached to the bottom of the pear.

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:43

I believe Sunday she speaks the truth. The rest of you are scaring the bejesus out of me.

Would anyone like to pop round and examine it properly? I might fish it out and gently poke the lump but there will be no cutting, do you hear me? No cutting. because it will spring to life and kill me, and probably the Guinea Pigs as well

A moth cocoon? I cut into a sweet pepper once and a huge moth flew out of it. That put me off peppers for a while!

WowserBowser · 04/02/2014 09:46

If you live near me in Cheshire I'll be round in a flash. I'm wearing my dressing gown though.

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:46

I can honestly say that DH and the dds will not go anywhere near it. I didn't mention it to them either. They would still be screaming. Grin

It doesn't look like the inside of the pear is rotting- if you look close up, it's a seperate entity (or something)

It looks like an avocado stone but pears don't have those sort of stones.

Avocado/pear hybrid that didn't work out?
But there are tiny holes in the manky bit (for any of you that have that phobia thingie)

Strawdolly · 04/02/2014 09:47

I ended up having toast instead. You know where you are with toast. Nothing can jump out at you.

I used to work in a hotel. They would get stale buns from the local baker to make bread and butter pudding with. One night after service I'd gone into the kitchen and was stuffing my face from the half empty pudding tray. One of the raisins seemed a bit gritty/crunchy. I put the light on ... had a closer look at what was left in my hand ... half a beetle.

Just sayin' Wink

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:47

Wowser I'm not too far from you, hop into the car and I'll give you directions on the way to Scotland I'm still in my jammies as well!

santasballsackisnolonger · 04/02/2014 09:49

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/02/2014 09:50

You need to do a Live Dissection With Photos Posted

This is like a Sporn Post but with a whole new level

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:53

Ok, it's out the bin. Boak Envy

This is a closer picture for those who want it. No attempts to do anything else yet or ever

Can you see all the wee holes? That's not good is it? Who mentioned holes and creepy crawlies? Arghhhh!

I've done this with a nectarine. I think the stone had rotted and it spreads outwards. Do pears have stones? I don't eat them because of that mingy grainy texture.

I am suspicious of all fruit with hidden middles. They look all "hey look at me I'm a bit of healthy fruit" on the outside and randomly filled with unspeakable horrors within.
