Hmm, I think I'm going to get guilted into lots in the next few days Hmm .

Aparently I didn't give him enough sweets to make him better Hmm Hmm Grin

Very Envy at gingerbread house making! Always wanted to do one but my baking skills are nil! Blush

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 09/10/2012 18:21

It's been a gorgeous day here Bonkey. Grin I hope your Ds is ok.

I'm just very lucky State! Ds1 was a colicy, angry little ball of rage most of the time. I got nothing done and didn't really leave the house for months. Ds2 is so easy in comparison. He feeds lot, but is happy to be put down in-between and either sleep or watch the world go by. I just hope it lasts!

I think I will be pinching your pizza idea. Ds1 would enjoy that, and I need to find new ideas for things to 'teach' him to concentrate. Apparently his teacher had a word with Dh this morning about his attention span?

StateofConfusion · 09/10/2012 18:58

We've been told the same about our ds dreamy it amused me a lot to hear he has been found more than once exploring under desks during carpet time so he's now asked to sit up front. Ds is such a teachers pet and mr sensible It was a nice change to hear of slightly mad 5yo boy behaviour!

I used this recipe for pizza dough.I halved the amounts though as my freezers tiny and it was plenty for the four of us.

Your ds as a baby sounds very much like my dd, maybe my dc3 will be like your ds2

Ahh bonkey don't feel bad, it happens to us all, my good friend actually pushed dd up my stairs once and it ended with her in a heap at the bottom, total accident but she still reminds her when she visits.

Gingerbread was the first thing outside a basic sponge I made, I have an usborne kids christmas book with a really good recipe in, although I usually eat half the dough before cooking Blush I usually get the aldi gingerbread house kits but they taste vile so can't wait to get this mould, fingers crossed it works.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 19:04

I bought a ready made house from Aldi last year but your right, tastes disgusting!

Maybe I shall attempt some biscuits and judge if a house is possible. I have only just discovered that if I make basic fairy cakes, a electric whisk and a proper cupcake baking tray make a world of difference. Blush

Your cakes are amazing State!

I had a easy baby ds. All was good until he hit 4! Hmm
I can't make up my mind if I want another I do really but yet to convince dh and take the plunge!. There is no way I can be that lucky twice, and I'm not sure I could cope otherwise Confused

StateofConfusion · 09/10/2012 19:36

My ds, once out of nicu and over the frequent hospital trips for 8mnths was a dream baby, but at 5 has one helluva attitude. He lulled me into a false sense of security that one, and dd well I still can't say she sleeps well. Wouldn't change a thing though when they were small they had the most wonderful relationship, and do still, sometimes Grin

When I get the christmas stuff out and find my book ill pm you the gingerbread recipe bonkey its a really easy one, and I cheat, I line a large tray with grease proof paper and whack the dough on that in one slab, cook and then whip out whilst still soft cut and leave on the side to harden up a bit. I used to burn pasta but a good ish cooker has helped me love baking!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 19:39

That would be great State .

Good idea about getting it out soft and cutting it! Last time I attempted gingerbread men the buggers nearly broke my teeth! Ds told me he had to suck them like a lolly because he couldn't bite them Blush .

StateofConfusion · 09/10/2012 20:40

I've done that more than once too, although dd who was just 1 at the time loved it for teething

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 20:46
Grin
MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 21:06

i seem to have started doing lots of these ---> x on the end of sentences Hmm

I seem to have gone a bit twee!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 21:08

It seems I like the word seem Hmm .

Grin
DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 09/10/2012 21:19

It would seem that you do! Grin

StateofConfusion · 09/10/2012 21:22

I keep doing it too, think its because I post here and in another couple of long on going threads, makes me too comfortable, I've also slipped up on the dcs names more than once this week, ill blame baby brain though.

Home made pizza anyone? I made a bit too much for me and dp.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 21:24

I blame the fb page! A x at the end of a sentence looks very friendly. Blame the customer service Wink .

I'm watching Mama mia. Mr Brosnan cannot sing!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 09/10/2012 22:37

I think the x stuff does come down to where you're comfortable. I'll do xs and hugs in the Puddle but wouldn't elsewhere. Although I did leap on Honeydragon the other day when she took off her weasel suit.

I'm on the way to the Chinese for a late night treat. Any orders?

StateofConfusion · 09/10/2012 22:42

I could murder a chinese empress since moving we've not located on I like, near our old house you could get a £2 bowl, 12" round bowl with choice of rice, sauce and chips in, bag of prawn crackers and me and dp were happy, also like a good chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork hong kong style and crispy aromatic duck.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 09/10/2012 22:47

I love duck.
I've got prawn balls and special fried rice.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 22:54

I only realised recently that prawn crackers actually have prawns in them Blush

I hate prawns!! Shock

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 09/10/2012 23:48

Do you / did you like prawn crackers, Bonkey?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 09/10/2012 23:54

I used to love them :(

Compleatly ruined by knowledge!

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 10/10/2012 09:30

Poor Bonkey.

I'm happy. There's a new drinks kiosk opened at the station I commute from and they do a fabulous mocha for 1.90.

StateofConfusion · 10/10/2012 09:31

I don't like prawns either but love prawn crackers!

Right that's it in half term we have to go to the chinese buffet! There's a brilliant one in the next town and under 5s eat free, good job ds is a little squirt! Grin

How is everyone this morning?

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 10/10/2012 11:44

I've come to sit and do deep breathing for a minute. Just lost my rag completely on the civil partnership / marriage thread. I'm not going to say what I'm thinking because it would probably get my post deleted.

StateofConfusion · 10/10/2012 11:54

You ok empress? I've started to avoid a lot of threads recently as peoples opinions agrivate me too much, and I got a huge flaming for saying something along the lines of any happy family is a good family meaning nuclear/single mum/dad, two dads/mums, aunts/uncles. So long as a childs cared for loved and happy who gives a shit. I got told its not that simple etc, well I think it is.

EmpressOfTheSevenScreams · 10/10/2012 11:58

EXACTLY.

Thanks State. Back to the fray.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 10/10/2012 12:28

I'm getting a bit frustrated on another thread. i stupidly posted last night whilst half asleep and have been quoted. I'm not getting my point across very well, but plenty of others have said what I mean!
