Thanks Pinot. They're looking lovely.

You must be so proud of what you've done there, I definitely would be! Have a big Wine

How did Meow's check up go?

Hello sorry for delay - the vet was pleased with her, the swelling is more definite now and located just on the knee joint. Literally a golf ball on her knee. She's doing great though - she's a feisty little one and it'll take more than that to stop her in her tracks! Ginger is being a bit wary of her (I think she smells of vet a bit) and weirdly it's him being all bothered and cuddly - he doesn't want to be left alone at the moment.

We have 2 days more pain killer left and I think she'll be great after that - she's really running about today, despite the lump. Ginger best be prepared!!

Oh I see---- have been away down south Shock since Monday hence missed this popping up in active.

So sorry Meow has been injured and glad that she is feeling better. Maybe Ginger was traumatised when she was stuck.?

They look enormous now - are they still not going out alone?

Oh Exit you could have popped in to see them! We're south-dwellers :) They come into the garden with me, but not freely - not until they get the chop (next month). 6 months is what we've been advised as they're not very savvy, cat-wise, having grown up with just me

They are just lovely Pinot! How is Meow now?

Hi cesttout she's all mended now - the puff has gone and she's now racing around like a crazed woman again. I'm sure her licking it frantically helped - it really reduced the swelling and seemed to soothe her as well. I'm so glad for her :) I think she's a little sore sometimes, when Ginger has been chasing her around but that's to be expected I think.

Unfortunately one of them has taken to peeing in my bedroom and it stinks so I'm on day 4 of carpet washing which I loathe

Can't imagine Catherine would do anything so scummy Shock. Bound to be that boy.

Not good, is it in the same place each time?

I think it's Ginger too, not sure why though (sorry gingey my love). I've yet to find a damp area - just the smell pervading through the room. It is boaksome. I've ordered a UV light which should show up where it is because tbh it's driving me slightly potty sniffing carpet constantly!!

Oh I got one of those UV lights yesterday as DP has been saying he thinks he can smell cat wee by the front door. I can't. Tried UV light and no 'dull yellow glow' so no wee.

Except I then tried shining it on the litter tray and no dull yellow glow there either.

Omg they're like actual cats! Shock Can't believe how big they are!

They're 6 months old now And getting spayed next Tuesday - no more kittens here! They're doing really well, though Ginger had a UTI last week that needed antibiotics but OK now. The vet said his little balls haven't dropped (Shock) but hopefully he can still be 'done' next week. I haven't told Ginger the news - he'd be all embarrassed :o

Does that mean you will be finally letting them out into the big wide world Pinot? Hope the spaying goes well.

Six months. You have every right to feel proud. Have some Thanks from a fellow cat lover.

I am sure they will be fine. From experience, boys tend to wander futher than girls but they will no doubt stick together.

I am off to see some big cats on Friday, so look forward to reading about their exploits when I return.

The kittens are celebrating their First Birthday today! Both are well and happy (and a bit fat on Dreamies treats - their abso favourites).

Two birthday photos added if you fancy a look :)

I love them so much, so very glad they chose us.

Awww, Pinot! Happy birthday kitties! How lovely to have this thread as a reminder of their escapades.

Your ginger one makes me laugh - he looks similar to my Bert (as I've said before) but is slightly fatter more cuddly.

Bert is all legs and tail, don't know how with the amount he eats though!

:)

Ginger sleeps 99% of the day :o (Bert is a great name!)

Ah, Bert (Bertram when he's being naughty and bringing me a dead magpie) is very active - this could be why he is such a skinny minny!
