They are sooo gorgeous, pinot.

Will you start a new kitten thread when this one is full?

TheOriginalFAB · 31/05/2011 14:18

Really gorgeous photos.

Sat with FabCat next to be wagging her tail. I remember when she was that small......

Pinot · 31/05/2011 14:20

ada07 we're over the thread limit already so I think MNHQ are keeping this one open :)

I have a cute one of Ginger in a (empty) cereal bowl but can't upload it yet as they're both curled up on me

SummerRain · 31/05/2011 14:37

they're almost all grown up now

Pinot · 31/05/2011 14:40

How do I stop them biting wires/leads??? They have a plethora of toys...but the TV/PS leads are their favourite thing to bite. Not good!!

ClaireDeLoon · 31/05/2011 14:57

Lovely new pics!

ClaireDeLoon · 31/05/2011 15:01

Anything they do that you don't want them to, pick them up, move them away from the wires, say 'NO' really firmly and put them down. Don't cuddle them and then put them, resist cuddles when they're doing something they shouldn't or they'll just get confused. This worked with my kitten when he was jumping onto kitchen worksurfaces, admittedly he was a few weeks older though.

happymole · 31/05/2011 15:21

Pinot Tell the truth you're feeding them Miracle Grow aren't you Wink

A tip for wires that i have used with puppies is get a piece of garden hose, split down the side and put them in there. Not the most attractive look but having lost cables in the past it does protect them and naughty kittens from electric shock.

Pinot · 31/05/2011 15:32

Good tips thank you both :)

arf to Miracle Gro! Ginger is alot bigger than his sister - maybe I should check the shed Grin

Thank you, Pinot

Milkyteanosugar · 31/05/2011 23:01

Luvverly new pics, my two love playing with shoes, chewing laces and hiding soggy toys in dh's boots Grin

Surely it's about time they had their own Facebook page....or are they not old enough yet?

tribpot · 31/05/2011 23:07

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.

If they are not old enough for a Facebook account of their very own, they are certainly old enough for Catbook.

Jux · 31/05/2011 23:47

Another way to discourage them from doing things you don't want them to do is a loud sharp hand-clap. You can accompany it with a loud hiss if you like (my dad was a master of the hiss!). Saves you running across the room to pull them off something, cuts down on temptation to cuddle, doesn't hurt.

sharbie · 31/05/2011 23:50

lovely new pics Smile

saffronwblue · 01/06/2011 00:14

I almost kidnapped a kitten from the pet farm today. ds2 was a willing accomplice too, he spent over and hour mooching around after a cat and her three kittens and fed them his brioche HmmGrin One of the kittens was a tortoiseshell and was so cute and friendly I almost popped her in my handbag... I blame you Pinot!

I honestly think dp would move out if I turned up with any more cats though.... I'll have to make do with kitten cuteness online Grin

Ginger in the cereal bowl is hilarious... they look so cute with your dog Grin

ClaireDeLoon · 01/06/2011 16:18

Summer but what if a kitten just turned up on your doorstep one day all homeless and mewing? Could you trust your DS to collaborate and say 'yes daddy the kitten was just there when we opened the door?'

SummerRain · 01/06/2011 16:38

ds2 is non verbal so no worries there.

The other two blabbermouths would need to be out of the house as they can't keep secrets but they're both school age so that's 5 days a week.

And on at least [counts fingers] 7 occasions cats/kittens have simply appeared on my doorstep (my mother reckons they can smell a sucker a mile off and know which doorstep to park their arses on)
