Morning happymole! Apologies - I was in London all day but happy to report my Mum did brilliantly with the kids, dogs, puppy and the kittens and all had a happy day! There was no weight gain yesterday but that's OK for their age (2 weeks old yesterday bless)

So little Meow has taken to trying to walk on all fours rather than the 'swimming' style of crawling about previously used which is so, so cute - she is super wobbly and jiggles from side to side and seems to have to pluck up the courage to move each back leg in turn but she's definitely getting there and is trying hard. Ginger is content to 'swim' as long as he's getting copious amounts of cuddles. His purr is deep now too :)

:) :) :)

Awwww. Love that stage bet Meow looks adorable. They are going to be fabulous cats. My Grandad hand raised a cat 10 years ago, she is still with him and follows him everywhere! In the morning she will get up with him, follow him to bathroom then into kitchen. Once fed she goes outside for a bit but pops in every hour to check all is ok!

Pinot · 01/05/2011 12:25

Oh CestTout I'd love it if they were like that! Squeeeeeeeeeeee!!

HeadfirstForHalos · 01/05/2011 12:46

Oh my, they are so beautiful! And what a good mummy you are to them :)

RIP poor Rosie, not a good start in life but thank god she had you to look after her, if only for a sort while.

SummerRain · 01/05/2011 12:48

Awwww..... wobbly kitten walking.... squeeeeeee!

Glad all went well while you were away and you had a lovely day... it was well deserved!

Pinot · 01/05/2011 12:55

Thanks so much Halos thats lovely.

Summer I was really nervous of leaving them ( I don't leave the kids much anyway let alone the kitties ) but I have to say I did really enjoy being 'me' for a change, not 'Mum'. We saw 'Wicked' and it was brilliant - of course now I think I can sing like the lead character and am screeching around the house like a loon. Poor kitties having to grow up with me Wink Anyway, after a day off I have renewed vigour!

Is this a kitten party? Can I join in?!

My beautiful cat Dora gave birth to four little bundles of squeaky joy last night - in DS's bed, no less! The oldest is a tabby and white girl (I think), second is pure ginger and very loud (it was his squeaks that made me run upstairs and discover Dora in DS's bed, with ginger rolling around looking very confused!), third came another lovely little tabby and white kitten, and last but not least came a lovely black kitten with white socks and (possibly) a white belly.

We are all besotted with them, just as you are with yours Pinot!! So glad mum is around to feed them, I don't know how I'd cope with feeding four!

Really hope Meow and Ginger keep gaining weight and being as adorable as they are in your pics. They're so lucky to have such a devoted two-legged mum like you! Smile

CestTout · 01/05/2011 17:20

I hope they are too! Having spoken to my Grandad he has corrected me! There were three kittens and on the day they were due to go to blue cross for rehoming (GP's had three cats already, these were result of a wildcat) the smallest one dissapeard. Up to this point they were always together. After 3 hours of searching they concluded that she may not come back so Gdad took others to BC. Within 30 mins of returning she appeared! GP's couldn't bare to take her then so she gained the name Lucky! She is living a great and very spoilt life - if she wants the chair or sofa we have to move, etc!!

Looking forward to more pics!

Pinot · 01/05/2011 17:28

Hehe. I think so! My Nana died two years ago and the cats keep Grandad well occupied, we are all grateful about that (even when we are all sitting on the floor when cats are on chairs/sofas! Will add a pic soon!
