He is a funny chap Lady he is super cute then gets a right stroppy look when his bottom is attended to. I'd be the same... [cgrin]

How is selling kittens on the internet any different from selling them in the newspaper or pet shop or anywhere else for that matter??!

Pinot · 27/04/2011 16:54

I didn't see your earlier post before it got deleted, gobble. My kits aren't for sale and this thread isn't for that sort of discussion really :) It's just a lot of lovely people cheerleading for two (3 :( ) kittens that had a rubbish start in life. Trying to keep it as simple as that. Hope you understand.

If you were to sell kittens on the internet this is not the place to do it.

It is a irresponsible to have kittens to sell full stop, if your cat had kittens unexpectedly you should be looking for the best possible homes for them, not trying to make money off it.

If you were a responsible breeder you would have had a waiting list before you even allowed your cat to get pregnant.

Hundreds of thousands of cats are put to sleep every year because people don't bother to spay and neuter their cats, and there just aren't enough people like Pinot to take them in.

Can i please direct your attention this way

What LaWeasel said.

TapselteerieO · 27/04/2011 16:59

Could you manage to have a cat nap in the afternoon? Fifteen minutes just lying with your eyes shut, don't fall asleep, just rest/clear your mind. When you are ready to get up just gently give your limbs a wee shake. It probably won't help much and ideally you would have this break whilst lying in a hammock, with a gentle breeze rocking you, away from demanding kittens and someone would bring you a nice cup of tea at the end of your break! (I do love my hammock breaks).

Pinot · 27/04/2011 17:00

What LaWeasel said too.

Also - Happymole you're too brilliant for words! Have joined the kitten crusade

If you really must do it via the internet the best bet is a forum with a pet section that has a rehoming thread (I've used boards.ie over here in Ireland) as boards like that are very well regulated and there are lots of very savvy people keeping an eye out and you can be quite rude insistent with your demands and stipulations.

I drove 3 hours to deliver a kitten to her perfect owner who I 'met' on a rehoming thread and had no qualms as to her safety.

Generally though it's far better to do it via word of mouth... all except two of the kittens I've rehomed have been to friends or friends of friends and they're all very contented well cared for cats and some of them I even get to visit and check up on cuddle.

One of them went to a neighbour down the road and she follows their son to school constantly so I trip over her at the school gates all the time Grin

Sorry if that's totally irrelevant to whatever gobbledgoop said, missed the deleted post.

Am squeeing at those photos again Grin Sooooo cute

SummerRain · 27/04/2011 17:03

Should add.... I've never sold a kitten, ever, and have refused donations as I'd rather the money was spent on the kittens in their new home (although the man I drove so far to deliver a kitten to produced a very generous gift voucher for me that was totally unexpected and was a ridiculous amount of money for a kitten.... he was just so happy to get her)

Pinot · 27/04/2011 17:05

Tapsel you have a hammock? [cenvy] Ooh I'd love a hammock. And a sexy chap to fan me. And a frozen margarita to sip. And a great tan. And toned thighs.

As you were [cgrin]

I have a sexy masseuse on order for years already.

DP swears he's in the mail but there seems to be some sort of postal issue

The nanny and the maid appear to be stuck in the same sorting office gathering dust.

I do wonder where DP is ordering the help from as the company seem to be very inefficient..........

(I have hammock Envy as well..... our sad new build garden has no trees though and I have a mortal fear of those ones with stands... I'm convinced my clumsy arse would topple them and i'd end up lying on the ground netted like fish with the kids poking me with sticks)

LaWeasel · 27/04/2011 17:13

I have exactly that fear about hammocks summer... Confused

LaWeasel · 27/04/2011 17:14

Although imagine, curling in hammock with kitties!!

My little madam is currenty meowing at me as the laptop is in her spot (my lap), so just stopping by to say keep up the good work Pinot!

gobbledegoop · 27/04/2011 19:00

OK....... so no-one has ever bought a pet?? Hmm

Whatever.

Cam down and have a Wine when you get down from your high horse that is...

Pinot · 27/04/2011 19:18

Thanks CaveMum - ooh how rude, HRHCaveMum! Whats your madams name? And what colour is she? I'm becoming very cat obsessed!!

Ginger is asleep in his bed, Meow is refusing to go to sleep and keeps twirling onto her back for more and more tummy rubs. I've done it, DH has done it and now DS1 is rubbing her. Every time his hand stops, she meows and twirls! The girl is a diva in her tummy tickle demands [cgrin]

Just popping in for my daily kitten fix, and Grin at new photos!.. Their little ears make them look like a couple of pixies.

Pinot, you must be knackered, hope you're managing to look after yourself too!

Pinot, I love it when my cat sleeps with her paws over her nose, they are so funny. The kits are just doing gorgeously, god knows how you are keeping going with this routine but don't start them on baby rice just yet [cwink]

HRHCaveMum · 27/04/2011 19:58

Pinot: Her Ladyship (also known as Molly) is nearly 5 years old (it's her birthday next week [cgrin]). We've had her since she was 9 weeks old (from RSPCA along with her brother, RIP). She is black with white paws, a white belly and a little white smudge on her top lip that looks like a moustache! There is a photo of her on my profile [proud mum]

watfordmummy · 27/04/2011 20:00

Pinot, they look so cute, I actually awwed out loud -and there's no one in the room!! Love Meow eating and Ginger's look could stop traffic. Keep going girl [cgrin]
