Thanks EvilAnts. Don't know where to start really. Sad

EvilAntsAndMiasmas · 14/10/2010 16:38

Do you want me to start one for you?

"Domeafavour is going to ask for a divorce because..."?

He warms up my side of the bed before I get in.
Tea in bed every morning.
Gives me both weekend days to lie in.
Rings from the station for emergency chocolate audit.
Never complains about what I cook.
Let's me watch whatever schlock on tv I like whilst he'd prefer to have the sport on.

He's ace!

bodycolder · 14/10/2010 16:43

Coffee every morning
has been really looking after me as I have been ill
Always puts me and ds first
Puts up with my endless mad friends drops them home drunk when he is teetotal
Tells me he loves me very day and says I look good even in a hospital gown
Indulges my various annoying hobbies!Cats Art General tat

Lovely thread Merrywidow - good call.

Puts the kids to bed, allowing me to chill/snooze while cluster feeding the baba.

Makes me laugh several times a day

Makes toffee apples, pancakes and spaghetti bolgnese better than any I've ever had!

overmydeadbody · 14/10/2010 16:58

Gosh I don't know where to start!

He always kisses and hugs me and tells me how beautiful and speical I am and how much he loves me.

He is forever doing little things to make my life a little bit easier.

He appreciates the little things about me that most people don't even notice.

He has never shouted or raised his voice at me, or taken out his stresses or frustrations on me, or had a go at me for anything.

He makes me tea and coffee and always puts a fresh glass of water by my side of the bed at night.

He shares his time, his energy, his money and his knowledge with DS and I.

He gives me space when I need it without taking it personally.

HE never complains about the very girly pretty house we live in, and lets me do all the decorating without so much as a raised eyebrow.

And many many other things...

overmydeadbody · 14/10/2010 17:13

He always has time to listen to me, and wants to hear about my day as soon as he gets home. He thinks everything I do is amazing.

He fixes my sewing machine when it breaks.

He is kind and considerate and generous and wonderful.

EvilAntsAndMiasmas · 14/10/2010 17:25

This is now in classics, quite right too :)

highlighterpen · 14/10/2010 20:15

Love this thread. My DH is lovely too!
I got really cross when I first had my DTs because the tea bags came in two's (I somehow always rip them open and spread tea leaf fragments all over the kitchen) anyway - next time (and ever since) I went to the caddy the tea bags had all been split into ones!
He looks after the DCs all week and is brilliant with them. He is always mega patient and kind. He never complains even though I have arthritis and need looking after and can't do lots of things.
He's my Mr Right Smile

EvilAntsAndMiasmas · 14/10/2010 21:00

That's really lovely, highlighter.

Even more lovely when I realised that you were hampered by the Dear Twins, rather than delirium tremens. :o

ib · 14/10/2010 21:08

Thanks me every day for being a wonderful mother to his children

Understands when I'm feeling knackered/grouchy/generally being a bitch that it's due to lack of sleep (6mo ds)

Takes the dc out to walk the dog first thing so I can sleep some more in peace and quiet (i.e. with no-one in the house!)

And millions more little things - and that's not even getting started on the big ones....

TottWriter · 14/10/2010 22:29

Today, I had a fit, just as I was about to get ready to go to the supermarket (I have epilepsy). DP insisted on going instead of me, and bought me some lovely taste the difference custard.

He also cooks almost every day, because I burn things, gives me hugs when I am down, and if there is one cake or bicuit left over, insists that I have it.

He is wonderful.

Just this week:

Picks me up from the station after work every day (I work very long hours)
Always gives me a glass of wine as soon as we get through the door so I can sit and unwind while he cooks something fabulous for dinner
Tells me I'm beautiful and he loves me, often in gorgeously long letters/emails to keep me sane at work
Gives me long massages with oils and stuff without being just a route to sex
Fantastic in bed
Is ultimately the most gorgeous creature I have ever seen and my best friend, soul mate all the rest
Makes a huge effort with my friends and went down to pick one up from the station last night so I didn't have to walk too far in heels :)
Oooh he also gets up every morning at the ungodly hour I have to, even though he could stay in bed a bit longer if he wanted to, to make me coffee and chat to me while I get ready

So many other things, I feel so very lucky

happiestblonde · 17/10/2010 18:35

He's also a bit of a feminist, way more than I am
Does the majority of the housework and will not hear of me even looking at the washing up when I make dinner
He takes my dry cleaning in for me and picks it up because I'm at the office too long to do either

Lequeen - also has the cute as hell smile that I know is only for me and it makes me almost cry with happiness every time

Oh and he is whisking me away to Venice in December to celebrate our anniversary which was a complete surprise, he also covered the bed in rose petals, took me for dinner and filled the house with candles.

God I love him so much it's scary

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 17/10/2010 19:00

Lovely thread.

Mine makes my breakfast every morning.
If it's cold he starts the car so when I get in it is warm.
If I'm tired he always offers to drive me to work even though it will mess up his day.
Tells me I look fab even when I look a mess.
Does all the laundry, most of the housework and always does the bins.
Won't let me handle a cat litter tray.
Runs my bath for me in the evening - he also buys me lovely bubble bath.
Is great in bed.
When I have a migraine or I'm ill he looks after me in the most considerate way.
If it is cold or raining he walks the dogs and doesn't make me feel bad if I don't go with them.
If he gets home before me in the winter he lights the fire (even tho' I know he is quite happy to just use the central heating) cos he knows I love it.

I could go on - every morning when I wake up next to him I can't believe how lucky I am.

JBsMonsterMummy · 18/10/2010 16:53

He never stops at just one kiss. If I only give him one he closes his eyes, puckers up and says "more kisses please!" :)

pickledbabe · 18/10/2010 17:02

DH was in my bad books last week as went on a fishing trip to Norfolk, but I missed him so much!

He:
says "good morning gorgeous" when he wakes up in the morning
washes the pots every time
makes me breakfast when it's his day off (thereby having to get out of bed just to do so)
meets me for breakfast when he's at work (okay, so I usually make breakfast in this instance, but if i don't, he pays to buy some)
comes to my shop at lunch and makes me lunch and cups of tea
makes my dinner
kisses and hugs me
always gets presents just right, even though he's convinced he'll muck it up

and he does exactly what JBsMonsterMummy's DH does, but doesn't say "more kisses please" - he just stands there puckered up! Grin
