I know there was no time and I feel all weighed down with the responsibility of it all, but here we are ladies, a new home...

s'alright hen, s'alright, its all gona be just fine. Did they leave you home alone? And did you raid the booze cupboard?

If they stop YouTube we have an easy solution........we will just simply go back to what my friends and I used to do........we get a cassette and we tape songs on it (from LPs) and we sing along and we post them to each other. The original song with our own, customized, version on the top. There. Nothing like a bit of 1980s pre-karaoke to warm the cockles

Unfortunately, DP's dad has taken another turn for the worse. His heart can't cope with the dialysis, his body can't cope without it, his lungs are filling again and he can't empty them, without a drain. He's been taken back into intensive care tonight. Its not unexpected but DP is very upset. I'm currently trying to persuade him to visit him tonight and not wait until tomorrow.

Indeed Momma. I'd be there like a shot but men........they look at it differently don't they.....I'm making him a cuppa and we will phone the hospital for an update.

Right.

shabster · 15/03/2009 22:19

OMG Frumpster - make him go - please.

frumpygrumpy · 15/03/2009 22:34

Doing my best but he's not for it at all. I guess we each have our own way. I'd have been there two hours ago but.......

For now ladies, goodnight, sleep tight, all of the night xxx. (who was it said that?)

BennyAndJoon · 15/03/2009 23:47

Another fab title

Well done

shabster · 16/03/2009 06:46

Morning girls xx

frumpygrumpy · 16/03/2009 11:01

Benny, when we receive compliments like that you become honorary members It was tessleepfood that came up with the gem this time.

Morning girls! DP's dad is much the same. He is having his lungs drained again and they will try a different form of dialysis today, a more gentle type. He is worn out and exhausted and I wish he could get some peace. In a wonky way, hospitals are not always the best place to get better. Anyway.....

Momma, I came across this lady last night and she sounded so distressed by her sons eczema. I told her I would ask a friend to pop in and pass on what helped your DTs eczema. Are you able? I have had eczema all my life and I know she can better the situation they are in.

When I get more time I will be trying diet myself to see if I can improve my skin, its just I have no free time atm. Our house project on the new house is almost a full time job for me on top of the usual..... August is the date things will calm down! By then we should be moved and the DTs will be at school 5 days then I can concentrate on menus and diets. Here's to August!

Anyway ladies, I have fight to have with a builder. Wish me luck, its not going to be pretty. I will likely stamp my feet but I will always talk in a low voice.

frumpygrumpy · 16/03/2009 11:01

Morning pinkfrog! Is the mighty Lew visiting today?

shabster · 16/03/2009 11:17

Lew is wagging it today - Ems says he has been crying through the night and pulling his knees up - he is fruit and veg mad so maybe you can have to much of a good thing????

The sun is shining and we have the same temperatures forecast that Faliraki has - according to the beautiful one mighty Nikos. He said in an email -'Here is very cold likes a monkeys things, very colds.' xx

frumpygrumpy · 16/03/2009 11:32

lol, brass monkeys in Faliraki then?

shabster · 16/03/2009 11:49

think thats what he was trying to say!! As soon as September is over they all have their Winters coats on!! We first went in the last two weeks of October and it was in the low 70's - they were all shuddering and they brought everybody thick blankets and quilts up to the rooms

frumpygrumpy · 16/03/2009 12:37

Lol! Edinburgh always fills with visitors during the Summer. We can spot them a mile off. They are the ones walking around with padded coats on that reach their knees whilst the locals focus hard on getting burnt shoulders in their lunch hours

shabster · 16/03/2009 12:50

When we are there the last two weeks in July it will not drop below about 95degrees even in the middle of the night! [sweaty moustache emoticon] I LOVE IT All you can hear is moaning Northerners 'I like it hot but not this hot!!!'

TeaSleepFood · 16/03/2009 16:22

Afternoon, just come back from having lunch with DH and DTs on the church green - how very 'Vicar of Dibley'!

FG - how's DP's dad? And DP? oh, and you ?

I worked in the South of France for a couple of seasons and we used to nick all the blankets from the punters rooms in at the end of summer as we were freezing and they were sweating - a bit like Nikos: freezing not sweating Shabs

Think I'm down with another bout of mastitis. Haven't felt well for a few days but the pain has come on this afternoon. Off to the gp with me tomorrow if he can fit me in.

Trips did I tell you my SIL had her 3rd baby a few weeks ago and called him Harry.

I've been promoting the benefits of breastfeeding to SIL (shhhh don't tell her about the hell of mastitis) and she decided after her milk came in to give it a go this time, she's now mostly bf-ing which I think is great and has apparently convinced her mate to try it when her baby is due, so message finally getting through to chavvy estate girls all.
