I know there was no time and I feel all weighed down with the responsibility of it all, but here we are ladies, a new home...

Hi to everyone else, any news yet of nan? Off to school, sun is glorious!

shabster · 18/03/2009 08:46

Have to get up early for Lew arriving....although he has been AWOL this week so far. Dannys diagnosis is 'runny bum, snotty nose, cough and lots of crying!' Have missed him like mad.

Happy Anniversary hen! How I wish you would post your wedding picture on your profile

Pixi, same as Merly, it does come eventually. After I passed I felt really uncomfortable driving without anyone else in the car Learning felt totally unnatural to me too. For a long time. (And to top it all, I learned to drive in secret and so there was the added pressure of sneaking around like I was having an affair ) It really will come eventually. I made the mistake of thinking 10 lessons would see me done when in reality I needed much more than that. I always found driving on roads I knew, a big help. How do you like your instructor?

DPs dad has been transferred to renal high dependency. He's a fighter

Ruby, how is your big boy's car?

frumpygrumpy · 18/03/2009 13:02

I seem to be very today. I can assure you its just malicious gossip. I am truly as pissed off with the world as normal.

Thanks girls. I like my instructor. She's one of the mum's in ds1's class and I think it helps I know her. She says she pushes me and I surprise her by rising to the challenges but I don't have any confidence at all. My head says someday I'll get it but I just feel it's such a long way off I'm not sure it'll happen before I max out my credit card.

Happy Anniversary to you both Shabs and there I was thinking I'd done well to make it a whole hand over 5 years.

So today we had dressing up day. I did the school run with two princesses and one baby bat. dt2 spoilt the fun by taking his eyeore outfit off just before we left the house. But seeing everyone smiling at the girls cheered me up no end.

DS3 discovered food today! Over the course of the day he sat at the table and ate grapes (cut into tiny bits), raisins, nectarine (cut into bits), a plum, two cream cheese finger sandwiches, 2 yoghurts and 2 plates of pastabake with baked beans. Don't think he's ever eaten so much. He also took 5 little steps. I was so excited I rang dh at work (I rarely phone dh). I realise just how much I've been babying him, my little man is growing up too fast.

Oh Momma I was sooooo pleased he ate. Just remembered he attacked half a large rice cake too. Maybe he'll finally start filling out and I can stop worrying. I was holding a friend's newbie baby on Fri and there were small pangs .

Today I looked around at my mad house and decided spring is here and I need to do some clearing out. So that's the plan for this weekend. Time to go through the clothes mountains again. Momma is there anything you need? I've already sorted a huge box of toys/unneeded bits to take to the charity shop on Friday.

Advice needed Dts finally going into beds. I'm going to move dt2 into a bed first and get rid of his cot, not sure where yet. Should I take down the bar on dt1's cot bed at the same time or wait till dt2 is established in his bed first? How did you keep them both in their beds? How long should I expect the messing about routine to take?

shabster · 18/03/2009 21:18

Momma that has made me feel very old....hang on....just let me check in the mirror....Oh yes..I may be 17 in my head but my face doesn't match it

Pixie - Awwwwww - just Awwwwww!!!

xxxxxx

Momma what is your obsession with twin reins? Can't you manage with single backpack style ones so you can loop them over your wrist? I fear for your sanity with the comments you'd attract with dts tied to your non existent waist!

Hey shabs how did your day go?

shabster · 18/03/2009 22:13

Hiya Pixie - it was sooooooooooo exciting

  1. Lew did not arrive - runny bum, coughing - apparantly an allergy to something!!
  1. Tomster took an age to wake up this morning.....he reckons its his hormones
  1. Did 'big shop' at Asda....now I have cupboards and freezer full of green and white labelled food!!
  1. Im so tired I feel sick!
  1. DH has had to go to our local pub to help them out - no staff!!!

Just another day in paradise really to be honest

piximon · 18/03/2009 22:14

There should have been some 's and 's in there.

That should do it.

piximon · 18/03/2009 22:15

oh blimey shabs, never rains but it pours...still there's always next year.

shabster · 18/03/2009 22:31

Dont worry Pixie - just a normal day in the Shabster household

DH did get me a very lovely 'soppy' card.

shabster · 18/03/2009 22:43

OK I better go - runny bum lew is due about 6.30 - night night girls see you tomorrow xx
