D'y ever wonder why we wash towels if we only use them after baths?

I know there was no time and I feel all weighed down with the responsibility of it all, but here we are ladies, a new home...

Chopster - hiya love - 4???? OMG

No Lewis this morning Ems sent a text at 6.30am to say he had just gone to sleep!!!! Said he hadn't slept all night and she was knackered. Trips - who does that remind you of all answers that say 'Thomas' should be sent on a postcard to Shabster Towers.

It feels weird without him. Also very, very, very quiet.

frumpygrumpy · 12/03/2009 09:45

Wow! Was it the hot poker that got everyone back in or the new thread? We have Kelly, Momma, estar, dingdong and even Marsygirl (where the hell d'y think you've been??? and not even a note )

DrTrillian no one will ever know..... come away in.......

HM, can you take a break? Leave DH with the kids for a few days on his own? A small reminder of what juggling means?

Shabs, NO!!!! She can't let him sleep now!!!! His body will get all sleep confused and the cycle will perpetuate............ then again, she's knackered and he's knackered........

Oh yeah, hope all goes as well as it can Momma xxxx.

Ruby, you sound so calm! You must have had a fright when you got that call! Is the car written off? Insured?

FIL is much the same, but at least no worse. DP would like to get to the hospital for a proper face to face chat with the consultant. DP started a new job on Tuesday though and the commute is not giving him much time to play with.

frumpygrumpy · 12/03/2009 09:58

TSF, thank you for the thread, I forgot to say! Hope your pants are ok

Dear Grandma Rubester,

A terrible thing happened this morning. DS1 had an accident. The one thing that saved the situation from being much worse, according to the garage, was just how reliable and sturdy the car was that you so kindly bought him.

Thanks to your generosity shown to our wonderful DS1 the situation was made 1000% better. In fact the mechanics are amazed that is was not much worse.

Thank you my darling Mother - I proper love you xxxxxx

Lovingly yours
Rubester xxxxx

Good afternoon ladies,
I always return here when needing some chocolate therapy. Like the thread title, if I did not wash ds towel after rugby it would reek.
Just returned from visiting a new mum with three week old twins, half english and half japanese, they were seriously cute. Must be something in the ether as I then had phonecall from prospective client wanting to come to the twin antenatal classes.
Need to go and do some knee exercises(eat galaxy) back soon
ps just starting reading memory keeps daughter
dear ruby hope your ds has no injuries

shabster · 12/03/2009 17:05

evening ladies just a quickie for HM - I am free the week after Easter, would you and yours like to meet up somewhere like Beningbrough or that farm place we were going to try? We can bemoan our lot and ignore watch the kids play

tkband3 · 12/03/2009 18:18

My DTs turned 4 yesterday . They both got bikes which they were dead pleased with (will try and put a picture on my profile later). They're having a small party on Sunday and the grandparents are coming over on Saturday so we thought we'd go out for a family birthday tea. I've discovered that a local italian place does gluten-free pizza and pasta so we were all excited about trying it out...DH was frantic at work and shouldn't have come but did cos he didn't want to miss their birthday tea.

And guess what - for various reasons we had to wait ages so by the time the food came DTs were over-hungry and over-tired and wouldn't eat a thing. DH was v pissed off and it was just one of those evenings where you just wish you hadn't bothered [v. fed up emoticon]. Oh the joys of having children....

Coming out of Sainsburys today, the DTs saw a poster for Disneyland and got v. excited about it - "when can we go mummy"...like TSF and others, I'm not keen and we'd probably have to win the lottery to afford it. And knowing them, we'd get there and they'd all be terrified of giant Mickey and Donald Duck and spend the whole time hiding behind me and DH .

Anyway, time to start cooking mine and DH's dinner - lamb tagine tonight..yum .

frumpygrumpy · 12/03/2009 18:31

Ruby, you jezebel!

TKB, Happy Birthday to the DTs!! I know, I get that..........sometimes it just doesn't work, more pain than pleasure, worn out in the attempt. Then sometimes it works......good news about the restaurant doing GF. There is hope for another time!

Trips, you must stand aside this Mother's Day. Its your birthday! I implore you not to. I implore you. Even a dried up cheese sandwich in your brothers house would be better than having all that work when its your day too. Don't make me hop in the copter and steal you!
