Oops x posts - what about the friday after?

Harrogatemum · 26/04/2007 11:40

I am off on my hols the friday after.....two weeks in Majorca, hoorah!!

So could do either Thurs 10th, or....tomorrow, but appreciate thats short notice! Or failing either of those, I am back on Friday 1st June so could do the Friday after that which is 8th June....?

dingdongjustforyoufg · 26/04/2007 11:44

Forecast for tomorrow is pretty crap so probably not a good idea and 8th June isn't that far off, which is scary! It would be nice to meet your DTs and I'm sure they'd enjoy it, so shall we wait til then?

Twinmummyx2 · 26/04/2007 18:55

I got stopped yesterday whilst queing up in the co-op..on double divi day...with my twin toddlers in the twin trolley... that is not big enough for all my shopping.....after being stuck in traffic for an hour because Jersey decided to host bike races for french cyclists on a week day ..on the busiest road in our island...!!!!...by an old woman that thought it would be useful for me to know that her son had a dummy for 4 years and it gave him a lisp.....(my toddlers had dummies in to keep them quiet and because i had to wake them only 10mins after being asleep in the car and very miserable to go shopping)(and to stop them knocking out other old people by throwing anything they can get their hands on out of the trolley).......her face dropped when i said..well actually....i have 6 other children.. and they have all had dummies and they have never ever had a single problem from using their dummies.....don't you just hate it when people butt in and risk getting knocked over by an already harrassed (and it was showing) multiple mum with twins(obviously) and a twin trolley when i see her on the outside???!!!!

What is the point???!!!!

I am never ever ever going shopping on double divi day again...ever!

It took my an hour and a half to get back home with the shopping by the way because of the french cyclists.......(the island is only 9 x 5 miles big!

Sorry to rant..and it probably dosen't even make sense...but it was still niggling at me today so this will make me feel better.

Dont worry about the bedtime thing, little J will be ok with a bit of neglect. Just have them all on the bed\couch with you for the story. The babies will grow to think it's normal and be child genius's having been read to at such a young age

Im suer she will be very grateful, if she can catch you in, you jet setter Dh is going to read through all the bits you emailed me this weekend. They are so fantastic, i hadnt thought of most of it. comes crawling on hand and knees back onto thread]

[very weak emotion]

hello all, DD1 is out of hospital thank god!
I for one have no energy left it has been such a traumatic time for all of us.

poor dd1 has had a tube stuck up her nose down into her tummy to get back some of the fluids she has been losing through vomiting and diarrhea, and all the while dh and I have been trying to coax her into drinking for herself. Needless to say it has been a very very long couple of days.
DD1 is now taking fluids through a syringe every 2 hrs she has 5ml of water ever 5 mins for an hour!

She does seem to be better in herself now she is home, and we hope that the diarrhea will clear up soon and she will start to drink by herself.

she hasn't eaten since saturday, so gone are the chubby toddler legs and cute hamster cheeks, she looks so tiny again and all her clothes are falling off her

BUT thank god she is doing better.

tkband3 · 27/04/2007 22:07

oh 1b3 what a dreadful time you have all been having. It's horrid to watch your child suffer so horribly...my DD1 was in a similar way last year and we thought she would have to be admitted to hospital. Once she started eating properly again, it was amazing how quickly the weight went on. I hope she gets better real soon and also that you can get on with some more baby-mooning now you are all home again.

I just popped in really to say 'goodbye'. We are off on our hols tomorrow to a resort about an hour outside Valencia - where it is forecast to pour with rain for the whole week, whilst being gloriously sunny and warm here [fed-up emoticon]. Still, if we manage to get there without me throttling my mother and OH, that will be a good start and I'm sure the children will have a good time. My mum and her partner are going to have the children for a day so me and OH can take ourselves off to Valencia and they'll babysit a couple of nights as well, so that we can go out. So it should be a bit of a holiday.

And Mars - have a fantastic time in St Lucia...bet it's sunny there .

Byeeeeeee

MarsLady · 28/04/2007 09:08

Have fun tk!

1b3... glad that DD1 getting better. Don't forget you can start the babymooning again at any time. See if you can't encourage DD1 to stay in bed with you and the DTs. If not, when she's sleeping, babymoon. Look after yourself my darling. I'm not around for about a week... But I'll check in on you when I return.

Big hugs and kisses girlies! Now I really must pack!

1becomes3 · 29/04/2007 12:33

Honest to god I am having the worst week of my life.
DD1 is alot better today, she has even had some dry crackers to eat and is drinking by herself, if we bribe her with tiny bits of chocolate.

SS1 and 2 have come to stay for the weekend and I am quite impressed with SS2 after all the problems we had when he found out I was having DT he seem really happy with them and even held Lola

anyway we were all sitting in the garden and DD1 acidently tipped some sand in DD2's hair so we put dd2 in the bath, which is when we noticed that her right boob was red and very swollen with a hard lump in it, well I was crapping my pants didn't have a clue what it was.
I thought she had been moaning all day with wind, until I saw the lump.
So we phoned the out of hours Dr's and they told us to take her down to the hospital to have her looked at.

We had just packed all the kids into the car and DH went to start the car and nothing happened!
So he got out and gave it a push to see if he could start it like that, still nothing happened so he decied to push the car to the big hill at the end of our road to get it started going down there.
We got half way down and still nothing, so DH was going to phone the RAC but he didn't have his membership card, so he called his brother who is also a member for his details.
When he finally got through to them they said the membership had expired, so he had to beg them to come out, just as he was telling them where we were his bloody phone battery died and I had left mine at home.
He had to put DD1 who was crying in her push chair and push her up the hill to our house, while I waited with the DT's in the car.

Well the RAC finally came an hour later so we had missed our hopsital appointment, so when we got there with some tired hungry children we had to wait for 2hrs

well the good news is that Lola's lump was nothing to serious it was a milk bud that had got infected so the is on antibiotic's, She isn't sleeping very well as she is pain and I am yet again completly (excuse my language) FUCKED feel like my head is going to explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am just wondering when this run of bad luck we are having will end or what is going to happen next.
