I'm trying to lure another 2 on here

dingdongjustforyoufg · 29/03/2007 20:36

oh ok, you're already there

estaregg · 29/03/2007 23:16

Thanks for the love girls. Haven't ever been in the dehydrated-on-a-drip stage, but was sick all the way through both times before. At the moment, its at least once a day, sometimes 3 or 4, and as far as I remember after 4 months it settles down to every other day instead.

Flipping hate it. Its always been the thought of another pregnancy thats put me off having another one, not having another child! Feel like its a battle every single day to choose food that won't make me sick. And when I want to eat it has to be now otherwise I feel sick anyway....

Am living mainly off Ready Salted Hula Hoops (only thing guarenteed to stop the nausea) and Spearmint Tictacs (to give me something to taste instead of previous meal).

NOT FUN!

estaregg · 29/03/2007 23:17

And thankyou for the link, Rosmerrin, I will read in detail.

And dingdong, you make me glad I have boys!

Harrogatemum · 30/03/2007 08:07

wish I'd read all this last night....DT1 whilst naked and ready for his bath pulled all his bedclothes off and peed all over his bedding. His other set was still in the dirty washing (sigh) so had to manically strip, wash and tumble the bloody lot in the space of time that bloody Night Garden was on (what is it about that show...??)

Annnnnd relax........

MarsLady · 30/03/2007 10:55

Well I'm going to have to take a look at this Night Garden you all keep going on about. Have sky+ed it so will show the DTs on their return from playgroup.

Now where are those newbies? Do you think they are lurking?

Overrun · 30/03/2007 13:29

Mars, I wish that I could do that, but can't record from our digi box It goes on for so long and is at a really bad time. Normally we would be eating and then putting them to bed at this point. All 3 of mine are totally addicted

piximon · 30/03/2007 13:38

Hiya all. I braved the twins club today, with all four on the bus. Was ok but no sooner had I got there, taken coats off and fed twins, it was time to get coats on and leave.
I think it helped that I'd met some of the mums when I was pregnant so I knew a few faces.
I also got to see the twin mum I met on the war. Her twins are a day older than mine, so it was good to catch up and compare notes.
Then got home, made the older two eggs on toast and in the time it took me to nip to the toilet they have decimated the LDC I lovingly made. There is just a bumpy bottom of sponge left. Ideas for how to jazz this up before DH gets home much appreciated.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 30/03/2007 13:49

good for you pixi, I'm very impressed at getting 4 on the bus! It always annoyed me how I would get to various groups and take so long sorting DTs out that I never really spoke to anyone!

Kelly1978 · 30/03/2007 13:56

blimey, I struggle with getting 4 out in the car these day, well done pixi!

Overun, it is on at 2pm as well, and I think in the mornings.

piximon · 30/03/2007 14:21

Thanks you two, it was the first time I've taken them all out somewhere other than baby clinic or nursery so I was terrified. Not just of the bus journey but how I'd cope with them all when I got there. The older two were surprisingly good and I'm feeling more confident about venturing out alone with them.
Although this was in a confined space, not sure when I'll pluck up the courage to release them into the park.

Kelly1978 · 30/03/2007 14:36

I'm seriously considering gettign a whistle for when we go to the park. We go to the lookout at Swinley forest, and so it is impossible to keep all of them in sight all of the time. I feel like a sheepdog.

MarsLady · 30/03/2007 15:30

Pixi.... make up some extra icing... or better yet... make custard.

Then heat up the spongy mess, pop in a bowl and cover with custard. Pud!

frumpygrumpy · 30/03/2007 16:01

Hi girls I can't possibly go into detail but my day has been like this..........into bank at 9.45am........talk with 50 million people......come home......talk with 60 million people and finally get business done at 3.30pm. I'm cream crackered! Must make up the cots, get the washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher cranked up, read a chapter from her book to DD (been very patient, bored shitless and its the first day of her hols [hmm) and collect the DTs from nursery in about 20 minutes

Roll on pizza from our local italian and Ugly Betty Anyone?

How are you all today?

frumpygrumpy · 30/03/2007 16:02

Can't go into detail because its bring not because I'm a secret agent

I was thinking of covering with custard or maybe trying to make trifle out of the mess. Poor DH went to work smiling at his cake and saying how he couldn't wait to get home...LOL this is the second time he'll have got home to find it gone.
Really I need a way to make an entirely new cake just appear. I'm not up to two outings in one day just to get some lemons.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 30/03/2007 16:18

I have made choc muffins and boeuf bourgignonne today...which of course meant I had to open a bottle of burgundy...which I haven't sampled yet...but since DT1 has been an almighty PITA today I think I deserve some - anyone else?

MarsLady · 30/03/2007 16:19

The secret sweet pixi is to overbuy the lemons! lol!

piximon · 30/03/2007 16:20

LOL FG.
Kelly I contemplated a whistle after watching Kindergarten Cop.
Bad enough I tie the older two onto the buggy by their reins strap if I'm going anywhere near the main road. So if I added a whistle too I'd definately better start saving for their counselling fees.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 30/03/2007 16:29

oh just realised I have 6 lemons - there will be lemon drizzle cake all round by tomorrow ladies, tell DH to hang on for a bit pixi, I'll send it through cyberspace

MarsLady · 30/03/2007 16:35

I'm already saving for their counselling fees (the Marslets I mean!) lol

Well done dingdong... just make sure you're making the right ldc! Okay?

dingdongjustforyoufg · 30/03/2007 16:44

oh but of course mars, nothing but nigella's in this house

frumpygrumpy · 30/03/2007 16:50

Aw holeymanoley!! Of course!! Counselling fees!!

I've not made LDC yet. I said yet Mars . I too have lemons and it would be far better for my health if I made LDC and didn't use them in gin

OK, I'm gone. DP is home tonight for a week and a day. I may be gone sometime
