Has anyone that was on App3n moved onto CrowdG3n? I was going to sign up for a project but they want a photo of my passport and it's put me off somewhat.

I did it when I wanted to see what was going on. I think I've given them my details in the past anyway and it's been ok. The process was fairly quick and painless. Although now that I'm signed in I can't really see any worthwhile there. 😅

Anyone else still clinging on to Crisp? I can't bring myself to stop checking that I can still log on.

Yes I can still log in but waste of time as zero content. Nothing happening on chat just the usual “don’t use bookmarks” rubbish. Still 449 people on Slack. Expecting not to be able to log in any day now!

I had a go on potato today, I can still log into it but of course nothing there workwise. However, I have now been deactivated on slack! I have now deleted it all but I wish I had said good bye and good luck to everyone before hand! I still have no replacement! Wishing everyone a lovely New Year and fingers crossed everyone has a prosperous 2025 x

I have now received not one but two emails saying that if I don't do some work, I will have my account deactivated! Absolutely amazing the email makes no reference to reality or any thanks for working for us. Oh well that's it then! 😂

i've done some work but very little, because there's simply not enough for an RA to earn even 20p/hour, who wants to work for that little money?! yesterday i logged in for 3-4 hours, i got less than 20 items. i don't understand what their plan is and why they haven't just shut the whole thing down if they're not going to give us work. appalling behaviour and handling of the situation, they should be ashamed of themselves!!

has anyone had any luck with Telus or WeLocalize? i've looked into them but going off the posts on their Reddit forums it doesn't seem like a stable income, tasks not always available and they seem to have gone through multiple rounds of firings lately, looks like they're trying to trim their workforce or the client's not offering as much work. so difficult to find a similar gig where you can choose your own hours and make some decent money...

I was logged into Crisp for 9 hours yesterday and got 1 item! So far today been logged in for 4 hours and no items at all

@ByMauveSloth I have had no luck with anything else so far. And have noticed with prolific that by the time press take part, the spaces have filled! I think I am going to have to go get frugal and try to not spend as earning is not happening.

Another poster posted some information above about what they found out. I think they are correct, a mixture of hiring abroad and AI means that this is no longer a viable income stream for UK workers. You are better off sleeping than logging on. I stopped doing anything at the end of October and it has taken over two months for them to even notice! They honestly don't care. It's sad but not surprising.

Is anyone on data annotation? Is there work available?

I've had one decent project with Appen/ CrowdGen this (well, last) year, which lasted about 6 weeks. Other than that it has been tumbleweed.

I've had a decent run of AI work on Prolific recently as well, but I slacked off over Christmas as I needed a break and it seems to have disappeared now I'm ready to get back to it!

Other than that, nowt.

trying to work out if it’s a bit of a scam as anything where you have to sign up for a free trial it says you don’t get paid if you cancel before the trial is over.

I’ve started and got to level 3, rewards seem to be pretty good for minimal effort but not if I end up getting billed for stuff.

I’ve used a virtual account on starling to pay for anything so even if they do bill me there won’t be any money in it but wondering if that will result in not getting the rewards either

I'm doing it now, I'm up to about £90 but in fairness I've not looked at it for a few weeks.

The challenges seem to change occasionally so worth keeping an eye on so you can complete the level.

I have just tried logging in after about a month off and can't see any tasks. It just keeps saying processing you identity and nothing happens. Keep getting emails about projects available so if you don't have the same issue as me should be able to see some tasks.

I still have tasks on DA although it's been quieter over the holidays. I was getting a bit itchy but a load of tasks in my second language just dropped and the pay is really good on them, so looks like I won't be doing much else today. 😄I don't think these last very long, and hopefully there will be more tasks for us all soon. I don't like looking at my daily totals as they have done down drastically in the last couple of weeks.

I keep putting off doing my taxes and the deadline is looming. 🙀Need to get on it!

I have started working full time so couldn’t do both but did earn a fair bob from these £10 a day threads. i am hoping to do small projects again in the evening but everything looks so dry. Ever since crowdgen took over appen, there’s not many opportunities on there!

prolific banned my account for no reason whatsoever. After emailing them they couldn’t tell me the reasons.

neevo pay absolute pennies now and not even worth it anymore.

Not quite the same as earning daily but have you got a Monzo business account? If you’ve never had an account with them it’s easy to make £50 opening one? Let me know if you’d like details. You can then refer on three others for £50 each referral.

I'm on Prolific which has been fine, and Data Annotation which has hardly generated any work at all.

I also signed up with Top Cashback, which so far has been a pain, out of 7 or 8 purchases, I've had to raise a claim on every single one as it didn't feed through correctly to my dashboard. Have i been unlucky or is this what other people find?

No, don't think it's you, I think Top Cashback has gone a bit rubbish. I used it a lot a few years ago, forgot about it, used it a bit last year, it was fine, everything went through without me having to do anything. Started using it again this year and I have had to raise claims for 2 things and am about to raise 2 more. So I think I will probably stop using it.

I've got to raise a claim almost every time, and it didn't used to be like that.

Having said that, I got a tenner back for my travel insurance and 15 for my car insurance, so still worth using
