I've been using Sprive to earn cashback to overpay on my mortgage mostly just for my grocery shop.

Sign up with my code E73JYBUX, get Sprive Plus for free, and be in with a chance to win your next mortgage payment.
Here's the link to download:

I have a Zopa link that gives us £20 each when you open an account...this is a really good bank with great savings rates.
All you have to do is open the account..add the virtual card to your phone wallet and make 3 transactions (literally pence...i bought milk)...the £20 will then be paid into our accounts instantly.
You dont have to switch from your main bank account...you can have Zopa to run along side any other accounts you may have.

Use my referral link to open a Biscuit bank account and make at least 3 card transactions within 30 days, and we'll both earn £20. T&Cs apply. www.zopa.com/mgma?referralCode=48088510c18dd5f2d1b2

Open a Biscuit bank account, earn the referral rewards!

Biscuit — the current account that gives you more dough with less effort.

Still have one Chase referral code left - easy £50 to make on the same day. Message for the code and details. Thanks

A silly question but how does this work opening new bank accounts for cash. Do you actually need to switch to them or can you open the account and just transfer the money to your own account? Does it impact your credit rating also?

No you dont need to switch...just open the account...take the free cash and close it down if you wish...or you can keep it open and use it along side your main account.
No they dont affect your credit rating...it is a soft search only.

Have you done Chase?

ilikeeggs · 10/06/2026 19:37

With the chase offer, can you withdraw the £1000 and the £50 straight away?

cluttered · 10/06/2026 21:35

Is anyone else on the DA and Prolific sites finding there's far fewer projects now than a couple of months ago? I joined DA in April and always had more than 20 projects on my dashboard and apparently my feedback was good but it's like tumbleweed now despite doing all the qualifications I'm eligible for?

Prolific had a huge number of AI projects readily available recently but now anything appearing is snapped up instantly. I'm wondering if there are a lot more people competing for tasks than previously or maybe I've unknowingly got some bad feedback so am not the first choice to be offered work?

Yes instantly - messaged you.

Redcrayons · 11/06/2026 19:17

I’ve never had anything from DA and haven’t seen a survey on Prolific for months. Despite checking regularly when I’m WFH.

ilikeeggs · 11/06/2026 19:21

Prolific is dead for me these days, apparently it’s because they dramatically the amount of users recently so there’s just not enough places in studies to go around.

ilikeeggs · 11/06/2026 19:23

I’ve done the chase offer and received my £50 so thanks to the person who referred me.
Ive got a Monzo referral if anyone wants one

There’s very, very little on my DA at the moment. The main stuff I’m getting is work done by others that needs to be reviewed.

And I’m noticing that when a small batch of work does appear, it’s gone within the hour, sometimes even gone within 15 minutes.

It’s weird though because I got added to a Slack group for a certain project group for DA and they all clearly have work on their boards for the project group, but I don’t. But then I sometimes see work to check for that project group so I’m clearly approved to do it??

I don’t know how they determine who gets the chance to work on projects. But I think they have a LOT of workers - I think possibly even more in the US than the UK- and we’re all hungry for work. I doubt it’s anything you’ve done wrong; I have been told before that DA is famine and feast so I’m just keeping everything crossed for more work soon.

justalittlebitextra · 12/06/2026 13:23

@SpidersAreShitheads exactly the same with DA for me - most of the work I'm getting is R&R at the moment and it is slim pickings. I think it will come back - they wouldn't have taken on all the new people recently and DBS checked us all, but I'm finding it quite stressful, as you need to be online all the time just to pick something up when it drops.

Prolific is the same - I haven't got onto an AI study for a few weeks now.

myusernamewastakenbyme · 12/06/2026 19:22

9 spaces left to grab £20 for the weekend...just open the account and use the virtual card 3 times (it can be 10p) but you must do it 3 times....the £20 is paid to us almost instantly.

Yes, I feel the same way! I do DA around my caring responsibilities - and it’s frustrating that if you pick a piece of work up you have to start instantly, you can’t hold it for say, an hour.

What often happens is I’m in with either DM or DC (all of them are disabled and have care needs) and by the time I’m free the bloody work has dried up!

I did a technical qualification today that was REALLY hard so I’m not hopeful there, but you never know. I keep eying up the JSON one on my qualification board but it’s not really my thing. Apparently it’s quick to learn but the idea of it makes me want to stick pins in my eyes 😂
