Does anyone know if potato minimum requirements are still removed?

Anyone been invited to take qualification quiz for transcription task beginning with F on Appen but the page never loads, they keep emailing me to take it but had no response to the ticket i submitted.

@cailingaelach I think they are. It's so quiet on there these days I think they should lower the minimum anyway.

Someone on the orginal thread asked about OneForma and I wanted to warn you all off. I did a job for them 2 months ago for which I was was never paid. At the same time I applied for a project that required a Payoneer account so I had to reopen mine (a right hassle) but after all that I've never been onboarded. It's a complete waste of time.

That's a good question, the message about it is still pinned & not deleted so probably, although the type of content that prompted it is quite rare now.
l am irritated to notice that the headcount on slack has gone up by about 50 recently, although it is rarely busy nowadays, with few nm2 shifts available.

I've not been great at updating as have been so busy. My main source of income is still Search Sciences but I'm also busily doing admin for my husband's business which takes up a lot of time at this time of year, plus the usual Christmas prep.

Yes, it's still suspended. I really am thinking I need to do something else with my time as the money you make is well below minimum wage. I am hoping that they might up the pay per item but it's been in review for a long time, well that's what is said every time anyone asks 🙄

I gave up Potato pretty soon, which is a shame because I was on the waiting list for aaaageeesss! The pay just wasn't worth it and the recent content was quite harrowing and I thought "screw this".

Started with Data Annotation and it seems quite nice. I've just had my first work paid but I'm still cautious and I'm not going to do loads until I'm sure I will get paid for it all. I'm a bit confused by the hourly paid work as there doesn't seem to be any upper limit to the time? I'm working as quickly as I can but would be nice to know if there was a benchmark or some specific goal to aim for, like RPH was on Ap.

Anyone on Dec Am*r? Against my better judgement I elected to do this again. Another complete waste of time. 15 ratings with only 1 genuine website...the rest complete scams so skipped. I am NOT going to sign up for it again! 😡

@Gatekeeper Yep similar here. I was delighted to see I had 11 adverts as I was on the October round and it was great.. but it turned out to be 10 skips and a bottle of rum.

@RoamSeeker I think I am applying for the same transcription task beginning with F on App - did you get an email today inviting you to do the qualification quiz? I've just finished it so fingers crossed!

@CocoPrivileges I got onto F a couple of days ago. I've only done one small batch so far, but I've done previous F projects and they're usually quite good.

Anyone on a task starting with W on Appen? I passed the tests and it seems okay.

@CocoPrivileges @Buster27 I've just done the F qualification quiz and I think I've passed as it seems to be in My Projects now. I've not done transcription before, so I suspect I'll be quite slow to start with, but it will be a good thing to get into!

I was ready to throw the towel in with Ap this week - long term project I've had sporadic work with but was actually quite happy with my work in I got a Needs Improvement email this week but no indication of what I was getting wrong (I was only a couple of percentage points down so I suspect not much).

And I'd finally got onto a decent earning part of W.....m and then got shadow banned for no apparent reason and now don't seen to be able to access any of the bits I was working on. I've done this for long enough now just to shrug and mover on, but it is still irritating!

I think I'm in the same position as you @justalittlebitextra - F is showing up in my projects but not heard anything yet.

Encouraging to hear that you've got some work out of it already @Buster27 ! I did some work on F a few years ago and found it quite good!

@CocoPrivileges @Buster27 @justalittlebitextra are you working on the F project? Can you remind me what date invoices need to be submitted? It's been ages since I've worked on any projects!

I've also been offered A* but it seems to be slated on here recently so wonder if I am best to give it a miss?

Hi @MissIndecisive2023 I think you can submit your invoice from the first of the month until about the fourth - F is my first App project for ages as well though so I could be a bit rusty!

@MissIndecisive2023 yes, there is usually a window from the first of the month to around the 4/5 to submit your invoice - the exact date for submission by is now in News and Updates (which can take a bit of finding on the site).

Classic Ap* for me though - got the production email for F so cleared my day to work, spent a good hour reviewing the guidelines in detail and then logged on and have not had a sniff of work. Remind me to check there is work before I do that next time!

Ah well, looks like F is over already.
