Is there a new thread yet? I can't find one?

Ah well, looks like F is over already.

Yes I got that email too. Annoying!

WhatYouWearing · 21/12/2023 12:25

I've been working on F since November and we always knew it was only going to be a December until it's completed thing. Wonder why they signed up new starters who weren't likely to get any work.

NeonSoda · 21/12/2023 13:28

Got my £200 Nationwide bank switch through yesterday, nice little earner when the banks bring new offers out!

Time to open the linked regular saver and earn myself £103 in interest over the coming year.

CocoPrivileges · 21/12/2023 16:57

@WhatYouWearing oh really? That makes no sense at all! Maybe it will restart next year. In the meantime I've been slogging away with Prolific, Clickworker and the odd User Testing study.

@NeonSoda that sounds great!

BecauseOfIndia · 22/12/2023 07:48

Is anyone making money on Potato any more? Now that they're bringing back the minimum requirements I'm wondering if it's tme to go. There's so little content whenever I login.

cailingaelach · 22/12/2023 10:00

I'm doing Telus now mostly and nothing really on potato, it's so quiet on there I'm wondering if I should let it go too.

Itsenough4now · 22/12/2023 12:05

Yes on potato and agree with what you both say. there is so little content that effectively you are earning much much less than minimum wage per hour. No one seems to be willing to address it on the chat and yet they are hiring new people. I am hoping to find something to replace it as I feel like my time is worth more than this!

BecauseOfIndia · 23/12/2023 09:30

I didn't know that Crisp was still recruiting! That's so stupid when there isn't enough work for the people who have been doing it for years.
It used to be my sole income, but I've found it almost impossible to make more than £5 a hour recently. I think I have reached the end of the road with them.

@Itsenough4now have you applied to Data Annotation? I've been working for them for 2 months and it's just brilliant, they pay really well and the better you get at it the higher your pay rate goes. Crisp could learn from them - so much better to invest in good people than treat everyone like s**t !

MrsWombat · 26/12/2023 14:31

I would also recommend Data Annotation. You can withdraw your earnings every 3 days as long as it's above £10. Tasks completed will automatically clear after precisely 7 days. (A few tasks are 3 days) Most of the tasks I'm doing take 5-15 minutes per task as I'm reading or researching the question so it's boring, but not as taxing as Crisp Thinking or Appen tasks I've done in the past where you are clicking and making decisions every 20 secs or so. What I'm doing at the moment is either asking the AI a question then judging the answer, or judging the answer that an AI has written for someone else. (I'm not elaborating further) If I get interrupted by a child I pause my timer or take 2 minutes off. I'm only dipping my hand in and don't normally do more than an hour a day at most but there is work there for people who want it. It's around £15 per hour after paypal conversion. But I hear there are people who earn more.

ruralwanderer · 02/01/2024 12:39

Happy New Year everyone Smile I made just over £380 on SS last month which I'm pleased with, especially considering it was a short working month (though a very busy one as most clients wanted their work completed before the 22nd).

Hope you all had a successful December and are prepared (or preparing) for a busy and profitable 2024.

BippityBobbityBoo · 02/01/2024 22:08

Happy New Year.
@ruralwanderer can I ask what ss is please?

ruralwanderer · 03/01/2024 08:35

@BippityBobbityBoo SS is Search Sciences - essentially it's writing, mainly blog posts, from home for a variety of different clients. I've been doing it since last March and really enjoy it Smile

Fire9636 · 03/01/2024 12:55

How long did it take people to pass the data annotations tasks to get onto the paid work. I’m currently in task 15 of the test but it seems to be never ending.

8DPWoah · 03/01/2024 14:06

Happy new year all! I've gone back to full time out of home work now so don't really check in here any more BUT I've spotted this vacancy elsewhere and didn't know if it might be of interest to anyone here, the other side of the screen at Prolific!

Alloveragain3 · 03/01/2024 14:24

I've also done the Nationwide switch and will be using their 8% regular saver account, though you can't put much in.

I find Chip is the best for interest at the moment, so will have the rest of my savings there.

I'm also checking Shopmium when at the shops and picking up anything that's free e.g. a small Soreen loaf today.

sorrynotathome · 03/01/2024 17:02

Wow congratulations @ruralwanderer ! I'm getting better at SS pieces although I'm still pretty slow, so I can't imagine getting to your level. I was quite pleased to send my invoice this month though - nearly £100.

ruralwanderer · 03/01/2024 18:05

I started off super slow and only earning about £4 an hour on fiddly little 100 word pieces but now mostly write for the same set of clients on articles over 500 words long and am averaging £10-£15 an hour. It gets easier as you become more familiar with it ☺

mickandrorty · 04/01/2024 11:06

I have just looked at data annotations and its asking for a phone number, could anyone confirm what they use it for before i add it please? I hate getting random phone calls! thank you

BecauseOfIndia · 04/01/2024 11:28

@mickandrorty It's simpy to verify that you are in the country you say you are I think. They never contact you by phone, in fact, until you get promoted onto the higher paid projects they never contact you at all, it's all very anonymous.

mickandrorty · 04/01/2024 11:31

@BecauseOfIndia that's great thanks so much

BippityBobbityBoo · 04/01/2024 19:11

Thanks @ruralwanderer i will check it out.

I did my data annotation assessment yesterday and have had an email saying a qualification has been unlocked. I take it that doesn’t mean I’ve actually passed or anything yet?

a very tiny earning but a passive one if you have a dog is the Biscuit app. Get points when you walk your dog. I’ve put referral in the referral thread for anyone interested. I got a £30 voucher last year which paid for my Xmas starter 😆. I will try harder with it this year

MissIndecisive2023 · 04/01/2024 19:23

Happy New Year all! Anyone finding that Prolific has been really slow recently? I've had nothing for a couple of weeks - had expected it to be a bit busier now the festive season is done.

BippityBobbityBoo · 04/01/2024 22:41

Yes Prolific has been slow for me too. I didn’t used to check it on my mobile on an evening but I’ve started doing that and I’m picking up a few small ones that way.

BlindurErBóklausMaður · 06/01/2024 16:14

Happy New Year all. Long term poster, serial name changer.

Prolific is currently my biggest earner- £14 yesterday alone. It's just the luck of their allocation I think, and it definitely comes in flurries.

Made £10 on Appen in November on some translation quickie.

DelilahBucket · 12/01/2024 18:00

Hope you don't mind me joining in. My business isn't doing so well and I can't prop it up another year, but need to stay flexible work wise until DS has done his GCSEs.

I've signed up to Prolific (no waiting list!), downloaded Roamler and Shopmium, and passed the first assessment with DA (got something else on my profile to look at but didn't have time yesterday).

I've also signed up with Serve Legal who carry out audits on businesses. Not done anything for them yet as only just got the job but they are recruiting. They would really, really like 16-19 year olds, but there are jobs for all. If you would like a referral let me know!

Does anyone have a trader121 code going spare please?

I'll let you know how I get on with the rest.
