I gave up on Crisp in October after being on there for 6 years. I log into slack every few days to see if there’s any change and and I feel quite sad seeing some of the messages from the few still trying to work, especially the ones thinking the work is coming back.

I wonder whether they will just turn it off without any notice or just keep it on using it as an overflow if the overseas/AI queue gets too busy.

@lilymae21 Prolific sent a message to some people asking if they wanted extra work, which would be longer surveys. It just shows up within the prolific Web page as normal.

I just find it absolutely disgusting they haven’t acknowledged anything. Surprised there’s nothing online, either.

It is disgusting Crisp Thinking or whatever they’re called now are a disgrace in how they treat their moderators/risk analysts or whatever they’re called now

I’ve not logged onto Crisp all month but have looked at slack a few times and there’s still very little content so nothings changed. I’m surprised anyone is still logging in tbh.
I just think it’s awful that nobody higher up is saying anything.

I'm surprised a journalist hasn't picked up the Crisp Thinking story. This place is packed with them looking for things to report on.

I downloaded this in March and got a couple of £5 vouchers - for 500 steps, then it went up to 1000 steps for a voucher for a while, then I had to download a new version as the old App was updated. and I was 14000 steps into a voucher (at 20000 steps) when it just suddenly stopped counting, halfway through my day. And the next day. I emailed them, and this was returned as invalid.
So I assume they have stopped.

They're most likely waiting for January to just kick all of freelancers.

I think it'll be mid-December when the freelancers all go as it was mid- September when the work really started drying up; I reckon they are giving it 3 months to get the new people/AI/whatever imbedded and working ok. Do think they won't ever say anything and it'll just be that you suddenly can't log in to anything incl. Slack.

Sounds about right from the company who has treated their mods appallingly for years now.

I think even those in complete denial are starting to cotton on. Had a look recently on slack and it seems just mods talking to themselves. I think they are just bots now pretending to be mods with the odd real person checking messages once a day.

Well I think my mid-December cutoff prediction is somewhat true, over 80 people purged from Slack over the past day. I am hanging on in there just to read the latest messages and non updates (!) but expect I'll be gone too before Xmas. I think you're right @Itsenough4now and that it's just bots chatting on Slack now. And... has anyone else also noticed that the company person who pinned a message re this month's invoices is new? I think they they are perhaps Manilla-based and are taking over admin from UK people, so perhaps the UK-based SMs etc are all going too? Anyway hope those who are dependent on this 'firm' have found/find asap alternative income streams, thanks for your support on here too, these £10 a day feeds have been a lifesaver at times over the past 5 years.

Much like the above posters, I'd not processed any content for the last few months but still logged into Slack evey few days to see what's happening. Tried to log in today and found I couldn't. No great loss at this point but how rude after working for them for about five years!

I am still able to log in but fully expect that to end any day. I have today received my invoice for last month's work - a whole £1.56!

@mydogisthebest blimey! My last one for October was about £20. And then I never logged in again.
@Blinglover Yes that would make sense. No point keeping expensive UK admin staff when you are getting rid of current freelancers for cheaper workers.

Still makes me a little sad when I think of the good old days, lol. Oh well, hopefully something else will turn up.

Yes, I noticed that the person who pinned the messages was new and had the same thought, but it looked like they were in a UK timezone, so who knows?!

I made a grand total of 90p which I don't think I'll bother claiming. I don't even log in any more but do check the slack.

I have been kicked off Slack and Crisp! Not even an email after four years working for them.
Can anybody else have a look on Slack and see what is going on, if anything?

That is utterly appalling. They’ve just booted everyone with not a word of explanation. I can’t believe they axed all the SM’s too!!

No conversation as such. Just the SM posting they are there, going on their break, back from their break etc
