Is there a new thread yet? I can't find one?

No need, potato won't exist within a year anyway.

Edited

What makes you say that?

Mileymileymoomoo · 12/08/2024 12:09

Just recently signed up for prime opinion. More surveys than prolific and immediate credit to you account.

But I seem to get screened out of a lot of them, not sure if it’s because they don’t ask as many questions for your profile as prolific do?

any advice on how to reduce this?

RhetoricalRectangle · 13/08/2024 00:52

The screening out is SO annoying with Prime.

They want a range of profiles (so not just middle aged women, for example) and they often want you to be their target market too.

A little bit cheeky but I'll sometimes bend the truth a little, to avoid screening out.

So if the opening question is "How often do you gamble?", it's probably a betting company looking for regular gamblers, rather than someone who's never placed a bet in their life. Rather than say Never, I'll say once a week. I do play the Lotto, so not a lie!

When I was honest, I'd get screened out every 2nd one.

It still happens regularly though, I think it's par for the course. You can't be the right fit for every survey.

They are all on one thread now.

Also hands up who thinks potato are a bunch of cunts? The companies they moderate for need to know how they treat their staff.

I'm a bit late but I agree re. potato. They are pretty horrendous. I'm annoyed with myself for wanting to work for them for so long and waiting patiently to be selected. Then when I did I realised quite how exploitative and horrible they are. I lasted like six months and quit. They suck.

Following thread with interest

Potato used to be good. I could earn £100 a day with surges. Gave up working for them once they stopped those.

100 a day?! Blimey. These days I feel I'm lucky to make that a month, there never seems to be much coming through and I can't be bothered to sit there for hours on end with the limited amount there is.

bananamuffin99 · 22/08/2024 10:33

Is anyone still waiting to be paid from potato?? I submitted my invoice via PayPal last week and I am still waiting to be paid!

TimmyTurtle · 22/08/2024 11:44

@bananamuffin99 yes - I'm waiting too. Feels like this is the latest in the month it's ever been

They have just paid me, hopefully you too!

Yep mine's just come in too - perhaps they are mumsnet users!

Did anyone have any luck signing up to DA with a different e-mail?

What makes you say that?

Unfortunately, I can't really type much more than this, there are loads of people reading Mumsnet. But the writing's on the wall for everyone, just do the maths.

I would agree with you. Considering the amount of work available. How is it possible they are making anything....

ThisMammaCat · 27/08/2024 13:32

I've added Prime Opinion to my survey circuit. I like it, it compliments Branded quite well: more surveys available (including very short ones), different screen out experience: more early screen outs but very rarely any late ones, fast and low threshold pay outs, and a weekly prize thingy if you do at least one survey a day. Also have had a few super interesting surveys there- regarding upcoming entertainment. https://primeopinion.com/register?ref=9c9d5c97-378c-4c64-a3e1-eec2c3fd1810

Yes. In lockdown it was unreal. Loads of surges and money to be made.

I stopped working for them around 10 months ago, because it was just so shit
and dire compared to 2020 & 2021

CosmoMango · 02/09/2024 19:15

Hi everyone,

I was on these threads years ago as a student and I’m back now. I use prolific and have done for years. My aim is £20 a day and I usually meet it. I just joined prime opinion but I am finding it slow in comparison.

What is DA?

CosmoMango · 02/09/2024 19:21

Just realised DA is data Annotation.

I also use jam doughnut for an extra little boost when buying shopping and receipt apps also

Wallaroo21 · 03/09/2024 19:32

Has anyone else had their prolific go quiet? I haven't had anything come up in a few days now. I really hope they haven't cut me I was managing £50-60 a month. Do you think they'd notify me if I was being rejected?

Turkeyhen · 03/09/2024 19:36

My Prolific has been dead for at least two weeks 🥴

SlurpSlooChortle · 03/09/2024 22:42

I assumed Prolific to be quiet due to mainly university surveys and most still being on Summer break.
Hoping it picks up again next week.

justalittlebitextra · 04/09/2024 06:38

Mine has been quiet for the summer although I have had a few patches of getting the AI studies which has helped.

I’ve found Prolific inconsistent for a while now though, I have to be quite lucky to get a place on a study these days.

Wallaroo21 · 04/09/2024 07:57

Hopefully it'll pick up again then I've started to rely on that money so will be a real shame to miss it
