Has anyone applied to TELUS internet assessor or has been doing it? https://telusinternational.headway.ai/searchResults/REQ_ID_4264/?org_id=3c7f8ba0-1988

I am doing the exam now and it's bloody hard!

I looked into this but trustpilot reviews aren't very positive

Alonglongway · 27/06/2024 12:54

Yes i’m on Telus - i joined Lionbridge who were taken over by Telus. I’ve done it for about 5 years now and the work is dull but pretty steady.

trekking1 · 27/06/2024 13:13

Well I failed the Telus exam 😅I am okay with that as it did seem really dull. I will apply to one of these AI trainer roles next https://boards.greenhouse.io/outlier

@Alonglongway is there a way to contact Telus? I passed the exam 2 weeks ago but am now on holiday and getting emails saying I need to do the Core Satisfaction course by a certain date but I won't be able to do so until I get back. I have replied to this effect but keep getting mails saying I'm overdue.
It's annoying because I applied in December and it wasn't until the beginning of June that they finally contacted me asking me to complete the exam at short notice.

Prime opinion is a great little app with easy surveys to complete. Payouts are via PayPal and start at £5 threshold. Payouts are instant too. So as soon as you cash out they email you and from there click through to confirm and it's in your account. If you use my referral code to sign up you get a 10% bonus on all surveys in first 24 hours. There are also prizes for "seven day streaks" and I often get emailed promo codes which bump up the money you make.

Has anyone on here been accepted onto the RWS MovieGen project? If so, have you managed to log into the VPN? It's my first project for RWS, the assessment needs completing by tomorrow, no reply from admin and I'm stuck 😭

YonderTweek · 01/07/2024 14:24

I did Telus for a bit when it was Lionbridge. My work was dribs and drabs and they kicked me out for not meeting the targets, but every time I logged in there was no work. I would love to have applied for more roles, but because I already had an account with them I was unable to apply for anything else, oddly. I contemplated creating a new account, but I wasn't that enthusiastic so never did anything about it (the story of my life).

I have been meaning to apply for RWS and others for ages, because I just know my luck with DA is not going to last forever. Maybe over the summer holidays I'll get round to applying and taking qualification exams etc.

DA has been on fire again. I love it. It doesn't even feel like work (well, most of the time), and I feel like I'm learning lots when I'm researching things. 😃I just did my June totals, and from DA alone I got around £1750, which is amazeballs. I have splashed out and the kid is getting a trampoline. Haha. Look forward to the first trip to A&E...

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely July!

SlurpSlooChortle · 02/07/2024 12:08

With DA, has anyone ever had the "thanks for taking the assessment" message for months and then had work appear?
Or does that message generally mean you will never receive work?
I don't do coding so doubt my skills are in any sort of demand anyway.

Whyoohwhyohwhyyyy · 02/07/2024 13:33

@YonderTweek £1750 is amazing! Can I ask how many hours you roughly work to earn that amount?

@SlurpSlooChortle I've had that message for a few weeks too and assume I won't be hearing anything back from DA. (I too don't do coding)

I've just completed training for a project with RWS so keeping everything crossed that I am accepted!

UseItOrloseItt · 02/07/2024 14:03

No, but I did go months without work which is different to most experiences I've read - so I'm not sure they have much of a set in stone process in place.

I applied in March, did the Starter Assessment which was an instant accept, then the non-coding Qual and had a 'Welcome to the platform' email a few days later. Then...nothing for over 3 months. Until June when all of a sudden projects started appearing as if someone had just remembered to flick a switch 🤷‍♀️ It's lucky I was even still bothering to check after so long tbh.

I have had the "Thanks for taking the assessment message" for months and no work appeared. I do check regularly and never anything. I wish they would tell you if you have failed then at least you know.

YonderTweek · 03/07/2024 07:15

@Whyoohwhyohwhyyyy Thanks! I generally try to work 3-4 hours a day, depending on what I have on. Sometimes I get greedy and do more, but I get a sore hand from scrolling and clicking. 😆

iwantsunshine1 · 03/07/2024 12:30

Can someone let me know what DA is please or send me a link?

LolaMontez92 · 04/07/2024 18:09

Hello all,

I've been absent from the board for a while. Used to be a potato peeler back in the good old days of bespoke shifts, but I left when it all went to shit.
Finding myself looking for a top up to my wages, despite earning a "decent" wage I just don't seem to be able to keep up with the cost of living 😩

I applied for DA ages ago and never heard anything (assuming didn't pass).

Still do prolific here and there but I am yet to find anything with serious earning potential.

I do have some trading 212 referral links should anyone want one. My first free share was worth around £80 from memory Smile it is legit and pays out!

Hopethisendswell · 05/07/2024 10:11

Has anyone had issues linking payoneer to Appen? I've got an account set up when I applied for jobs but it's still showing as pending 3 weeks later!

ciderhouserules · 05/07/2024 14:23

So - the NS&I Premium bonds.... I got the usual email saying that I'd won, but when I went into the website, I was asked for my Bond Holder Number? Admittedly I haven't signed on since my last win (April) but it always wanted the premium bond number. When i went to look for the Holder Number, i couldn't find it (as I couldn't log in...)
The Holder number is on the Bonds, whereas the Premium number is ???
I found it eventually on an old email from them. Where else is it? If not on the flipping website?

I was presumably notified of the change - didn't notice and emails regarding it - but it just seems a pain.
Wonder what the point of that is?

I did last year. I was owed £80 from Appen and payoneer wouldn't accept it. For some reason, my paypal and Payoneer accounts had unlinked themselves. It took a lot of emails and phone calls to sort it.

justalittlebitextra · 05/07/2024 16:32

@Hopethisendswell I had something outstanding in my verification centre (which Payoneer never actually directly asked me for or sent me any notification about) - once I uploaded it (I think it was a bank statement) it got sorted about 3-5 days later from memory. Appen had made a payment but it wasn't showing in my Payoneer - it appeared once my account sorted itself out.

Speaking · 06/07/2024 09:10

Thanks so much for the recommendation to Prime Opinion down thread.

I've done a few surveys each night while watching TV for the last 5 nights and just got £20 credited to my PayPal.

Quite enjoyed a few of the surveys on clothes and rice krispie squares!

My referral code if anyone wants to use:
NX85OO

Hopethisendswell · 09/07/2024 20:48

Thanks for that @justalittlebitextra. This is exactly what's happened! Only problem is there are no actions in the verification centre and the help page just constantly loads 😅 Appen are looking into it thankfully.
So far I've earnt £1.37 this month so my idea of being self sufficient by the end of the month are fading fast 🙃

HTruffle · 11/07/2024 22:07

just checking in, I’ve not long started with search sciences but feeling hopeful as they assure me there’s a steady flow of work. With prolific I’ve found you have to check it very often as the studies fill up almost immediately. Still I’ve been pleased with it so far, earned around £80 in six weeks which I’ve been considering ‘treat money’ hence a few little coffees out and treats for the kids etc. nothing back from data annotation a good three months on!! Grrr!

Lagirl20 · 13/07/2024 07:52
