A few people are waiting for the uc backdate for the disabled child element. So thought I'd make a thread about it instead of doing it on the dla thread lol x

Nevermind they have just sent the backpay letter. Half of them don't know what they are talking about. There's no date on it though when it will be paid @Oilytoe90 did you have date on yours? Just says we will pay this into your account x

Oilytoe90 · 18/10/2022 11:57

When I got my letter they left a note with a date it would be in my account. Basically it should be there by the end of this week lovely xx

Sarahjlk · 18/10/2022 16:31

I’ve just phoned up to ask and she just started waffling about household support fund and citizens advise, didn’t answer anything I’d written in journal for weeks..🙄 just said someone will reply at some point!

Girlmum25 · 18/10/2022 16:36

They've not added carers element for some reason they have taken the carers allowance backpay out of the disabled element back pay. So going to have to mither for the carers element. Never ending 😂

Bvbvbv · 18/10/2022 17:53

How long did it take to get a decision for the disability element of universal credits, mine got sent to a decision maker on Monday

Jo197 · 27/10/2022 13:50

Mine got decided pretty quick however I’m still waiting for back pay they sent me a letter saying it was guna be backdated and they need to work it out that was over 2 weeks ago I keep leaving messages but there not replying it’s joke it would be a different story if I owed them the money

Jhtm · 27/10/2022 15:14

Wow I didn’t expect another long wait I thought that was all over and done with when we got the DLA decision

Jo197 · 27/10/2022 15:37

That’s the back pay Im due to be paid on the 5th of nov so fingers crossed they have put the careers element and disabled element on I think the back pay is paid separately from what everyone else has said anyway

Jhtm · 27/10/2022 18:17

Hope you get the correct payment on the 5th

Jo197 · 27/10/2022 20:04

@Jhtm thank you fingers crossed hope you hear something soon il keep u updated

Kits45 · 01/11/2022 05:18

I'm not really sure how this back payment thing works so I updated them to say my son is on mrc and I updated the careers section I then left a journal message asking if there both back dated I've had no reply as of yet. Do they back date from when you applied for the dla?

Oilytoe90 · 01/11/2022 08:27

@Kits45 they will backdate to the scan date of your dla claim lovely x

Oilytoe90 · 01/11/2022 08:28

I left the first message on the 26th and a dude replied real quick telling me what I need to update to get careers then I messaged the next day as I'd read about the back dating so it was Thursday last week and they haven't responded they seem to go quite when more money your entitled to gets mentioned hahaha

Kits45 · 01/11/2022 10:28

I did just call uc and got a really helpful lady and she has put it through to decision maker and he has till tomorrow to get back to me on the journal apparently so who knows what will happen lol

Jhtm · 01/11/2022 11:54

@Kits45 oh really that’s good, mine told me I have to wait 4 weeks for the decision to be made so still 3 weeks to go
