A few people are waiting for the uc backdate for the disabled child element. So thought I'd make a thread about it instead of doing it on the dla thread lol x

@Oilytoe90 aw ano but it's just so draining and frustrating, no one's even replied to any of.my journal messages since the 23rd of September still 🤷‍♀️ x

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 14/10/2022 20:05

Ladies just checked my bank and back date was in then checked my journal and there was a message saying wat was going in x

Oilytoe90 · 15/10/2022 06:51

I called yesterday they said there was no time scale for the backdate as someone else has said but it has been approved/signed off.. god knows. She put a note on my journal for work coach.
I’m just worried now that there going to take most of it for an old tax credits debt (we were overpaid)
got my first UC statement yesterday and out of £146 getting paid £14.50, they’ve deducted the rest 🙄

Oilytoe90 · 16/10/2022 07:26

@Sarahjlk surely they aren't allowed to take that much off you!? U can call them and say that you're struggling to pay it back and ask them to lower how much u pay back. Also they are deffo not allowed to take back dated money off you x

Sarahjlk · 16/10/2022 09:07

thanks @Oilytoe90 I’ve left a note to say it’s a bit extreme in comparison to how much was supposed to be getting. I’ll need all the back date with having a week off unpaid due to covid!

Oilytoe90 · 16/10/2022 09:12

@Sarahjlk it is way too much to be taking off you. Oh no bless you. Did you suffer with it? X

Girlmum25 · 16/10/2022 16:25

Glad I found it. The decision was made the day after I requested the back payment that it would be backdated to may. I have sent a couple of messages over the last 3 weeks but have been ignored x

Oilytoe90 · 17/10/2022 06:25

Oilytoe90 · 17/10/2022 06:26

Girlmum25 · 17/10/2022 06:37

@Oilytoe90 oh finally seems like I'm on the right tracks now god knows what they've been doing this whole time! How long after that did you get your message to say how much you were owed and when you'd get it? X

@Noneyerbuisness11234
No hun, would have nothing to do with that. Maybe call them and ask why x

OP posts:
Shannon26 · 17/10/2022 21:51

@Oilytoe90 thanks hun just so I have a rough idea when to expect to hear anything again x

Girlmum25 · 18/10/2022 09:21

I'm tinging up now to see what's going on, really annoying that they just don't answer journal messages

Girlmum25 · 18/10/2022 09:34

They have just told me on the phone that I am not getting any back pay and I haven't been told that I am. I'm really confused. I received this letter on the 24th of September she said its just a change of circumstances did anyone receive this letter
