UC disabled child backdate

A few people are waiting for the uc backdate for the disabled child element. So thought I'd make a thread about it instead of doing it on the dla thread lol x

I didn't even know this got backdated!
I've left a note in my journal and will keep you updated.

@ofwarren surprisingly not a lot of people are aware that it gets backdated which I think is disgusting coz they don't tell u x

ive just had a journal message to say my case manager has been notified of the change and a letter but nothing on there just the award change? anyone else has this or when i’ll hear about the back payment?

Iv messaged again about backdate lol as iv still had no word first messaged 22nd September

Just got a reply saying there's no specific time or date to do it but they'll try and process it as quickly as possible lol

Iv had 2 letters saying my claim will be reassessed from may to include careers element and disability does anyone know how long it takes also my scan date was 28th of June do we need to be in receipt of dla in may to get this or uc

It depends tbh. Mine took less than 2 weeks. Someone else took a week and others are waiting longer x

I left a note at weekend to be picked up Monday but not heard anything.. we all tested positive for covid on Sunday so not had it in me to ring but will when i feel a bit better. It was 26th Sept when i made the changes.
