Ooh I was under the impression that you weren't allowed to use photos from the internet. If you can then that would make it a lot easier. I'd kind of given up on that one.

Horehound · 02/08/2020 20:16

I thought you were supposed to use the internet but it was so hard because they are all stock photos with are not allowed.

So I've now submitted photos of myself, I mean they could have been on Facebook which is "the internet". But really I'm not sure because it says "use your internet to upload".
Time will tell, I didn't do many because I'm not sure what is acceptable or not.

Horehound · 02/08/2020 20:19

Checked the blurb on the PayPal payment and it does say "If you have completed additional tasks of acceptable quality level, you will receive the remaining payment shortly" so I think I'll get more
I mean the job was pennies so it's not a huge deal but still, it's the principle!

Well done @otterses. Just beware because I became addicted to gambling doing stuff like that.
Lost thousands :(

lynsey91 · 02/08/2020 21:38

@Horehound no I didn't have a quality message

Horehound · 02/08/2020 21:40

@lynsey91 ok I think I'll maybe still get a payment. I'm also waiting on some calls still

LimeJellyforBrains · 02/08/2020 21:54

I made £333 in July - £1 more than in June!

Appen (hr a day) - £253
uTest - £62
Prolific - £18

Got lots of emails from Neevo but not done any of the jobs, still a bit wary about being paid.

Good luck this month, everyone Smile

Baby89 · 02/08/2020 21:59

Hi all - just wanted to ask what type of research /surveys people are doing in utest . I’ve joined and nothing yet I’ve not had look at the academy etc any way I could get to star with them - thanks

Horehound · 02/08/2020 23:18

Oh and @otterses beware of wagering requirements on your win!

Mrsm010918 · 03/08/2020 06:08

Neevo seem to have so much work on at the moment, I'm not complaining, I just can't keep up and do studies and childcare at the same time lol.

Clickworker has disabled my UHRS account, no idea why 😑

Otterses · 03/08/2020 06:22

@Horehound thank you Smile I've done the free offers only for about two years, I never deposit as I really can't justify it to myself! The wagering requirements were just x1, the big win came off the back of me trying to work through £3 so I could cash out on a £11 win.

OP posts:
Horehound · 03/08/2020 06:46

@Otterses Oh fantastic hehe

bubbles519 · 03/08/2020 08:09

In the Neevo listening task where you have to rate the quality, what kind of things are you putting for the reason why you have chosen that rating

Horehound · 03/08/2020 08:29

@bubbles519 well I was putting "not realistic way if talking, words ending abruptly, no emphasis on words" and then the reverse if there are good points.
BUT I just got kicked off the job and see it says work didn't meet quality standards. Ffs.
I have actually messaged them to ask what that's about because I was doing it perfectly fine and honestly.
Even in the instructions it says "It is important to understand that it is NOT you who is being tested" so I'm pissed off!
The only thing I can think of is that I let one of them time out and it said "this has expired" and to move into the next one and that's when it said no more tasks.
Fuck sake Neevo are doing my head in. I think it is all the autonomated part of their jobs that I don't get on with.
Like it must be set up to kick someone off if they let the task expire. And with the "work didn't meet quality standards" then they must have to go through and review every single task you've done before paying etc
Stupid things get you kicked off a job but they say they can't let you back on. Like when someone kicked me off the customer calls because I missed two calls Hmm
Well, they're losing out on me because I'm doing it well.

seizethecuttlefish · 03/08/2020 08:30

Well done @Otterses!

bubbles519 · 03/08/2020 08:33

@Horehound that's rubbish, how many tasks did you get through before you got stopped? You're writing better things than me so I expect I will be kicked off soon. I did have one task that said it expired but then it let me carry on so maybe it could be something else your end. It will be interesting to know what they come back to you with as it doesn't state exactly what we are supposed to be saying

Buster27 · 03/08/2020 08:40

Nice win @Otterses!

Horehound · 03/08/2020 08:43

I had only done 10!!
And I mean it's not exactly difficult. If the person sounds disjointed or slightly robotic I'd put poor or whatever and some that were ok I'd out fair but then for others I put excellent and stated why.
But as above it's just about our opinion so how can that be fair to kick me off?
I hate things which just don't make sense so I'll be interested too but j just know they'll be like "oh sorry but we can't put you back on" I don't think they look into individual cases really.

Hmm interesting that you let one expire too and didn't get kicked off. Wonder what it is then 🤔

bubbles519 · 03/08/2020 09:37

@Horehound yea it's so frustrating, I've been kicked off Neevo tasks before with no explanation and I don't know how many I'm gonna get paid for, I did over 900 on one task! I've managed to do 100 so far on this task but I must admit I haven't put any as poor, they've all been fair or above. To me they're all easy to understand so I'll see what happens

bubbles519 · 03/08/2020 09:38

Where do I find on Appen my payoneer details to get paid? I created this so long ago I want to ensure they have the correct details as this will be my first paid task

Horehound · 03/08/2020 09:50

@bubbles519 o think I only did one as poor but it was very bad, robotic sounding and disjointed.
Yep frustrating. They've now invited me to review the portrait pictures for 1 cent a go.
Think I'll give that a miss!

ScorpioSphinxInACalicoDress · 03/08/2020 09:55

Checking in (namechange)
Has anyone been moved from Appen N* desktop to mobile? I was on desktop from Dec and have now been moved to mobile and I hate it.
It only takes me about 7 minutes so my earnings are way down, the ads are all US based so no relevance to me and the choices to evaluate are all negative. Humph.

Anyway: July
£62 Crisp (every month I swear I'm going to do loads but somehow end up with £60 worth(
Appen will be about £30 instead of £100 (see above, I suppose I could lie but I am too much of an honest wuss)
Etsy £215
Prolific £6 (keep forgetting to log in)

Gatekeeper · 03/08/2020 10:12

Scorpio, just do more rating after your batch of 30 ads is finished

mylittleavalon · 03/08/2020 10:12

Right- after reading tons of these and wishing I could get £10 a day its time to join in. Starting small with the goal of joining everything and just earning something (even if it's just £1) in August. Thanks to everyone for putting all this info out here
