@hoolahoolahoop cloudworkers is adult talk, so 90 percent sex talk. you have to write minimum 75 characters for each message. I work 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the night due to working it around my kids while they are asleep. I do this 5-7 days a week. You have to send 1500 messages minimum a month. I send approx 60-80 messages an hour in the morning and approx 80-100 messages an hour in the nights. So anything between 300/400 messages a day. These figures change for me dependant on traffic, Their is more traffic in the night especially since we have been in lockdown. You have to book your shifts one week in advance and you can freestyle in between. When I first started I was slow but you do pick up speed. I find them ok to work for, never had a problem with the supervisors, they don't really bother you unless you have done something wrong.

I choose to get paid by PayPal and for my cloudworkers total of £650 for July I sent just shy of 8000 messages. You have to factor in the exchange rate and PayPal fees. Each message is paid at 0.10 euros.

It can get boring and mind numbing but if you break up the hours that you do then it is manageable.

It is not for everyone but it works well for me

hoolahoolahoop · 01/08/2020 13:28

@GachaBread Thank you so much for replying. I must admit that is the complete opposite kind of chat I imagined!!!! No wonder the website didn't really say😳😳.
Hours would be good around little one so def still worth me thinking about. Not sure how good I'll be at it🙈

DownThePlath · 01/08/2020 13:32

Well, my "July" (I only started around the 11th) total is about £70. That's from: Neevo, Clickworkers (still waiting on payment - £20), Prolfiic, Qmee and Usertesting. Pretty chuffed with that! Still desperately waiting to hear from Appen and or Crisp, but not holding my breath too much at the moment ...

curdsandwhey · 01/08/2020 13:34

DownThePlath That's really good for your first few weeks!

GachaBread · 01/08/2020 13:40

@hoolahoolahoop you don't necessarily have to be good. All you need to be good at is keeping the chat going. Some agents are shockingly bad, some I have noticed will not even entertain sex talk. They will turn the conversation away from that subject. See how you go, if it's not for you then you can just bin it and move on to something else.

lynsey91 · 01/08/2020 14:16

My totals for July are:

Crisp £60 (my first month so hopefully will increase)
Populus £50
Qmee £43
Prolific £80
Neevo £110
Clickworker £50
User testing £20

Buster27 · 01/08/2020 15:01

A few quid off £700 for me, delighted with that as I ended up having a very busy month with other things so I thought my earnings might take a hit. Hoping for around the same this month.

Otterses · 01/08/2020 15:05

@dirtyfries very envious of your return to the office Grin I'm stuck at home till at least September 22nd along with all my other colleagues with young children. They say it's to minimise stress with kids being in/out of school/nursery if we WFH but I'm going slightly mad now! £200 is fantastic on top of working full time.

@curdsandwhey I've just used your YouGov link.

Sonmi451 · 01/08/2020 17:00

@curdsandwhey Scratch that - I live on the Isle of Man, they don't want my opinion.

Freetrade and 20 Cogs also not available to me. Hmm

ruralwanderer · 01/08/2020 18:20

I'm at £275 earned this month so continuing to steadily improve each month. Mostly Appen, then some Intellizoom studies, a few odds and ends on Clickworker then the fabulous market research project @GachaBread linked to in the July thread (thank you for sharing that!)

I was accepted for an hour a day Appen project back in April but still haven't been given access to the tool which is a shame - I'd love that as a steady bit of income.

KatieGilbert · 01/08/2020 19:41

Had a really shit couple of months, onwards and upwards for August I guess..

WonderTweek · 01/08/2020 19:51

@curdsandwhey I was inspired by your message and have finally recorded my test study for User Testing. Grin I registered with them ages ago but it seemed like a hassle, but after having done a couple of Intellizoom think out loud studies I'm slowly getting used to recording myself and actually quite enjoying it. I hope I pass! I keep getting screened out on lots of Intellizoom surveys which is a bit frustrating because I always find a quiet spot and get all mentally prepared to record. Haha.

Carrotgirl87 · 01/08/2020 20:16

@Horehound that's exactly what I did so if you did it wrong so did I 😂 did about 65 before it said they were all done so sounds about right!

Rad2016 · 01/08/2020 20:24

Thanks for the new thread. July wasn't so bad as I didn't do much but made 220 on Appen. Didn't have time to do any neevo task. I do work on the arise network too which gives me about 800 a month so not a bad month.

MoreMoneyPlease · 01/08/2020 20:42

@Rad2016 What do you do on the arise network? That's great money!

Horehound · 01/08/2020 20:44

I'm sure we've done it right then @Carrotgirl87 I just thought the 0.07 was generous comparing it to other jobs and the work involved :D

Carrotgirl87 · 01/08/2020 20:45

I said the same... 7p for 2 seconds.. I'd have sat there for hours if they'd let me 😁

Horehound · 01/08/2020 20:55

Yup same!

Rad2016 · 01/08/2020 21:11

@MoreMoneyPlease I work for a coffee supplier taking calls. More like a call center kind of set up. Only downside was training I had to do for five weeks which two of those was unpaid. But the money is good. You have to do at least 15 hrs a week which works out to be 3 hrs a day. They open 7-10 so I choose my hours. Not bad

MoreMoneyPlease · 01/08/2020 21:57

Thanks @Rad2016 I'll look into it. Does it work out to be a good hourly rate?

Rad2016 · 01/08/2020 22:03

@MoreMoneyPlease hourly rate is 8.80. Not bad for me as I have a full time job.

choccychar · 01/08/2020 22:14

@Rad2016 hope you don't mind me asking - is arise American? Are you in UK? Was interested by what you were saying and earning about arise but not sure got right website. Came up as USA with fees is that right?
Interested in earning more and flexible hours could really suit me around other work and kids

Rad2016 · 01/08/2020 22:57

Hi its an American company. I am in the West Midlands, UK. Try looking for arise UK. Not many people fancy doing it as you'll read mixed reviews online but it works for me as I only do it to top up income. Most of my friends who do it are happy as they all need flexibility because of childcare. I know people doing it full time. Just depends on what works for you

MrsWombat · 02/08/2020 06:57

Starting the month on a high. Between Crisp and uTest yesterday I've made £30 so far. However, I caved and bought spend £30 3-year licence for Screencast-o-matic so I can blur sensitive data easily for utest projects. So technically made zero. Grin It will make my life a lot easier though.
