Well ... it's been one hell of a month hasn't it? I hope everyone is safe and well (and not going too mad with kids and partners at home!). As always, referral links and new starters are welcome, think we're all going to need a boost financially over the next few months.

@TheLolaMontez not at all! I'd start them off on your windowsill though, still a bit cold out. I got around 6 BIG ones ... wish I'd planted more seeds to be honest! I only had three plants.

I have major duck envy.

TheLolaMontez · 04/04/2020 15:22

Ooh might give it a go then, thanks @otterses Smile
The ducks are lovely but they're very messy!

Otterses · 04/04/2020 16:18

Been meaning to ask - has anyone given Plum a go? Been looking for an alternative to Chip after some issues I've had with them.

justtheonethen · 04/04/2020 16:21

@TheLolaMontez he's lovely Smile

AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion · 04/04/2020 18:07

Yay @TheLolaMontez - was just going to ask for a photo of your ducks 😊 So cute!

Good luck with the new job prospect @Otterses. I keep getting the emails from Nee** about the transcription tasks even although they kicked me off for making too many mistakes! 😳

lilmishap · 04/04/2020 19:04

@Lougle Cheers, I've wasted loads of time looking. It's a bit disheartening!

lilmishap · 04/04/2020 19:06

@527040minutes before you finish all of the academy they do send you academy challenges to your email that count toward the rating you have.

527040minutes · 04/04/2020 19:09

Ah thank you! I won't mind as much if there's more to do than blind studying but I'd kick myself if I got to the end of it and found it didn't bring much in because I'm finding academy quite boring!

Lougle · 04/04/2020 20:53

@lilmishap it can happen like that. Have you looked at other people's bugs and followed their instructions? Sometimes it can kickstart your own hunting.

lilmishap · 04/04/2020 21:39

@527040minutes if youre on clickworker be sure to check the assesments

toastytea · 04/04/2020 22:40

@Suebnm @otterses I have been doing some of the neev* tasks when all my other work has dried up. I don't mind the task itself but I don't like the pay. I was looking through my emails and initially they were only offering $0.07 a task! Sorry to say I did some when they were paying that rate! Then they went up to $0.1 and now I think they're at $0.13. Thing is there is a lot of correction to be done on each one and on average I think you'd make $6 an hour which when translated to £ is pretty bad.

toastytea · 04/04/2020 22:42

How does everyone else squeeze the work in? I'm aiming for 3 hours a day if the works available and I only just managed that today. It's a struggle. I do it in nap time and then after bedtime (which is late). I can't really wake up any earlier or go to bed any later so wondering how ppl keep kids happy and get the work in?

Suebnm · 04/04/2020 22:43

@toastytea

When put like that it's very bad indeed. Gosh, think what it was at 7 cents each.

Lougle · 04/04/2020 23:57

Don't forget the Appen invoice deadline.

@toastytea my girls are a bit older (14, 12, 10) so I do work when they are xboxing, on the trampoline, etc.

toastytea · 05/04/2020 07:42

@Lougle ah, I see. Mine are preschoolers, so much fun but so little time for work!

I managed over £800 in March so trying to do the same for April!

Kerrieanne85 · 05/04/2020 09:24

I passed the crisp test back in October, I am hoping to get an email from them sometime soon but still nothing yet.

Otterses · 05/04/2020 12:21

@toastytea I tend to just work after DS is in bed at the moment, so usually do 7-10. I used to get up early, but found that working from 4, then going to work, then doing day job bits in the evening was just too much.

OP posts:
girlicorne · 05/04/2020 13:29

@toastytea mine are 10 and 12 so I do it while they entertain themselves. My 12 year old has had her full timetable online so she’s busy 8.40 to 3.45, Easter holidays now though but they do have plenty to do so tend to occupy themselves, which is just as well.

I am even more grateful for these threads more than ever due to work in my main job just about drying up but is anyone else just finding it soul destroyingly boring?????

Catatemyhomework · 05/04/2020 13:39

@girlicorne, I am finding it all a bit soul destroyingly boring too. In fact I have done very little so far in April. I have done a few Neevo tasks and that is it. Probably earned no more than a tenner in the last 5 days. I am worried and a bit weary. Dh is working from home and is doing normal long days as he always did, so all the child entertaining is from me. They are not motivated and spend most of the day in their pyjamas on minecraft and roblox. I have given up quite honestly. Mine are 16, 13 and 9. I need to get back on to the earning £10 a day but my motivation is low at the moment. Perhaps if B comes back or B*r I would feel more up for the work as I would feel like I had to do it while it was there.

TheCanterburyWhales · 05/04/2020 13:48

Hello all, been awol for weeks but you popped into Active.

I've also finally been accepted into Crisp (I was on the first thread here under a different name, I'm in Italy) I think I passed Crisp finally about September after failing it loads.

Still on Appen N* and yes, for 3 days this week the to things wouldn't load. I was also accepted onto an Appen that needed a Figure 8- and was automated invoice. Did the work, but the automated invoice was never generated.

girlicorne · 05/04/2020 13:48

@Catatemyhomework it’s all just so depressing isn’t it? Hopefully it will be over soon. There might be some B or B next week to look forward to. I m doing 4 to 6 hours a day ( only allowed 20 hours a week) on Oz* and it’s really really dull.

toastytea · 05/04/2020 14:27

I'm finding it very very very boring. The neev* task which seems to be never ending i actually like but it's too poorly paid.

I find with the kids if they have some short activities organised then they are happier to crack on independently for a bit. Obv older kids are different!

Otterses · 05/04/2020 16:54

I'm struggling a bit with motivation too @girlicorne - everything just feels a bit bleak and boring and pointless at the moment. I'm even finding C+++p boring!

OP posts:
ifuckarses · 05/04/2020 19:12

I know a lot of you have said how Neevo is poorly paid, but does anyone feel the same about UHRS? I did over an hour and a half and got just over $5. In that time got kicked off 2 tasks. I'm pretty sure some of it is subjective, so it annoys me how strict they are.

toastytea · 05/04/2020 20:06

@ifuckarses it seemed that way to me when I tried it so don't bother with it! Think it all depends on how much free time you've got.
