Well ... it's been one hell of a month hasn't it? I hope everyone is safe and well (and not going too mad with kids and partners at home!). As always, referral links and new starters are welcome, think we're all going to need a boost financially over the next few months.

Ahh, missed that B* set. I only logged in 10 minutes after the email but still all gone. Looks like there's more to come soon hopefully!

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 08/04/2020 01:16

@Catatemyhomework I was logged on within 2 mins of getting the link and I missed them, hopefully there will be more next time.

527040minutes · 08/04/2020 01:17

I got one set @Catatemyhomework but only managed to do one lot before it ran out. Saw the email come in and it took me 5 mins to submit them said there was no more, so they went fast! Wondering if I should be wasting time to up the time count or not, I always seem to finish things quickly!

MrsPretzels · 08/04/2020 01:20

What's with all the tasks running out so quickly tonight Hmm

I managed one set of B and about 15 mins on the Neevo tasks (managed almost $9 worth in that time tho so can't complain). Hope there's more of that task to come - it was piss easy!

Leavesofautumn · 08/04/2020 07:30

Wow that's amazing, thank you everyone! It sounds far better paid than transcription work that I've done in the past. I'll start registering soon.

rhij86 · 08/04/2020 07:52

I saw the email for B*ne at some ungodly hour and decided not to get up - glad I made that decision!!

Hopefully we get a decent batch of tasks soon - that's what the email implied anyway.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Leavesofautumn · 08/04/2020 08:13

Can you choose the hours you work, or do you constantly have to check your emails at all hours of the day and night?

Suebnm · 08/04/2020 09:17

@Leavesofautumn

It's both for me. I have two projects I choose my 4 or 5 hours daily and others I do as they come in.

Rad2016 · 08/04/2020 11:01

I had an email very late last night saying there was a very small job with Bane Quick F8 task, i only saw it about 20 mins after but when i clicked it was already gone. I felt so gutted as I only just got accepted on this project. I feel so bad

toastytea · 08/04/2020 11:34

@Rad2016 I wouldn't feel bad, doesn't look like you'd have got many mins! There'll be more!

Rad2016 · 08/04/2020 11:45

Thank you toastytea

Wheelyyyy · 08/04/2020 13:51

New project on appen

Rad2016 · 08/04/2020 14:06

how do you see that

Leavesofautumn · 08/04/2020 15:27

What exactly do Appen do? What are these tasks and what is the purpose of them?

lilmishap · 08/04/2020 15:36

@Leavesofautumn the first thing you do is sign a non disclosure agreement.....

lilmishap · 08/04/2020 15:39

@MrsWombat I've inboxed you I'm suddenly nervous about talking about it on here

Leavesofautumn · 08/04/2020 15:44

@lilmishap It's just that someone said yesterday that I could put it on my CV. Apart from money, I also need something to put on my CV. So there must be something that can be written about what skills I'd be using.

margaritasbythesea · 08/04/2020 15:47

Leavesofautumn - I think a poster once found Appen's guidance on their website on what you can put on your CV. Worth a poke around.

Frenchdoors1 · 08/04/2020 15:56

Yes we've signed NDA's so we can't discuss anything on here or in RL

Catatemyhomework · 08/04/2020 16:02

@Leavesofautumn, when you've signed up with Appen and get offered work, you will know what to put on your CV as you will know what skills you are using. You can't put an employer on your CV if you haven't yet worked for them. Confused

Leavesofautumn · 08/04/2020 16:07

You can't put an employer on your CV if you haven't yet worked for them.

Yes I know that! I just meant I need to know there'll be something to put on my CV eventually, otherwise it might not be worth applying in the first place.

MrsWombat · 08/04/2020 16:09

@Leavesofautumn You can put that you are a remote independent contractor for Appen on your CV. You just can't mention any clients or get a reference. There is a bit on their website with suggestions on what you can write but I can't find it. This sort of thing though: appen.com/blog/the-top-flexible-jobs-appen-is-hiring-for-in-2019-lifeatappen/

Catatemyhomework · 08/04/2020 19:50

Dammit, missed another B* set. Got to be like a rat up a drain pipe it seems!

Fedupandpoor · 08/04/2020 20:04

I'm working my way through the C*** training and really enjoying it so far! If anyone is already working for them, how do they pay? Is it PayPal, bank account, and how often? Also, I have seen a few things online saying that they have recently changed the way they work and now it's difficult to earn even minimum wage, can anyone confirm this?

527040minutes · 08/04/2020 20:10

I clicked the link 3 mins after the email came through and still missed them @Catatemyhomework so youve def not missed much! Potentially one page if that!
