Well ... it's been one hell of a month hasn't it? I hope everyone is safe and well (and not going too mad with kids and partners at home!). As always, referral links and new starters are welcome, think we're all going to need a boost financially over the next few months.

Just finished the courses and am trying to psyche myself up to do this test, it should be fine. . . but jitters have hit

rhij86 · 07/04/2020 08:32

@lilmishap good luck :)

Otterses · 07/04/2020 09:51

@lilmishap please, keep in mind it is completely normal to think you've fucked it up after you finish the assessment Grin I think we all went through it did you convince yourself you've failed. You really will be absolutely fine.

I'm getting really into trading 212! Bought a load of Ocado shares when they were cheap Grin I am positive that they'll bounce back in September when they start doing M&S food and I'll make a profit of at least a few pennies.

Hello, can I ask two questions. DS (student) signed up to do the Lionbridge social media job, was accepted but doesn't seem to been given any work. Is he missing something? I suspect it's there but he's just not found it?

Also, signed up to do Neevo which I've found very straightforward. Clearly I'm not going to make a fortune but it's okay to do an make a bit of extra money. Is it regular enough to make £50 a week (or so)? Is there anything similar you'd recommend?

Suebnm · 07/04/2020 10:56

@NewModelArmyMayhem18

Did your son do a really long and really (for me) complicated exam?

Neevo, in my experience, isn't regular. There are some greats links to explore at the top of this thread. Welcome both.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 07/04/2020 11:02

Thanks @Suebnm I am pretty sure he hasn't done an exam for Lionbridge - should they have sent him a link or would he be expected to find it himself somewhere?

Thanks for tips re the other links. Will check them out. I have another job so just wanted something I can dip into to make a small but additional revenue stream.

ruralwanderer · 07/04/2020 11:20

Has anybody been paid by Intellizoom? I've done tons of surveys for them, all of which said they'd pay within 21 days, but I've not been paid for any yet so am starting to wonder if it's worth persevering with them?

Neevo doesn't pay well but at least they do pay!

Still getting my annoying "Keep waiting" message from Appen...I've emailed them to ask when they'll send me the assessment link for B**r as I had the email saying I'd been accepted onto the project over 3 weeks ago and nothing since...

Wheelyyyy · 07/04/2020 11:26

Started workung my way through the online learning but inconveniently have had to come to work...whats that about lol

@lilmishap think your doing the same as me...good luck, im sure youll be fine. Let us know how u get on. Itll be me with the jitters next :)

Suebnm · 07/04/2020 11:34

@NewModelArmyMayhem18

If he has been actually accepted, they will send him everything he needs.

TheCanterburyWhales · 07/04/2020 12:40

Lilmishap- how many hours did it take you more or less? I have to do it and am at work full time till Thursday so wanted to get it all done then...was a bit concerned they'd kick me off for not doing it all before then, and having waited so long....

Clickworker seems to have woken up. After nothing for weeks I've got an inbox full this morning.

lilmishap · 07/04/2020 14:55

I got all excited too soon, I'm waiting for the email with it.

MrsWombat · 07/04/2020 15:35

I'm half way through the C* training. It's taking forever with the kids around. Grin

Wolfff · 07/04/2020 15:47

@ruralwanderer

Intellizoom do pay. It’s normally about 4 weeks in my experience (I think they mean working days when they say 21 days). I used to do loads but just get the video ones nowadays.

527040minutes · 07/04/2020 16:23

I've just worked out that I've had no work on clickworker because I didn't know the profile needed completing! It's asking for my tax number, is this my NI number? Or something else entirely?

Finding there's absolutely nothing to do on Neevo too, is that similar? Am I missing something really obvious? I'm blatantly a bit thick at getting going Blush

Catatemyhomework · 07/04/2020 16:27

Anyone else been asked to be a customer service agent with Neevo again?

Leavesofautumn · 07/04/2020 16:28

Hi everyone, I'm totally new to all of this and I have lots of questions!

If you sign up for Appen, is there enough in it that I could put it on my CV? Is there enough there that I could list the skills I use, say if I do it for a few months is that something to put on your CV? Is there anyone there who could give you a reference, or does it not work like that? I can't quite work out from reading this thread if it actually counts as a job or not.

Do they pay you in a similar way to how you'd be paid for taking part in market research, or do you have to register as self employed in order to do it?

Which email address should I sign up with? I have my main personal address that I use for most things, but it's a slightly "fun" address that doesn't sound professional. I also have a sensible address with my real name that I use for job applications. The only thing is that my PayPal account is with my non-professional address. Or is it possible to add more than one email address to the same PayPal account?

I also have the same email question with regards to signing up for surveys and things like 20Cogs.

Catatemyhomework · 07/04/2020 16:30

@527040minutes, I put my NI number in and it didn't accept it in the field so I left it blank. I still got paid. Neevo tend to be a bit random and they always email me when they have something.

AliciaWhiskers · 07/04/2020 16:43

@Catatemyhomework yup :)

527040minutes · 07/04/2020 16:51

@Catatemyhomework thank you, I couldn't work out what else it could be! Reassuring that you still got paid! I've only earned €1.60 through them so far so haven't tried invoicing yet!

Catatemyhomework · 07/04/2020 18:19

@527040minutes, you don't need to invoice them, they just pay you I think. There should be something in your account history about what you've earned and when it will be paid. Although, Clickworker only pay you when you've earned over a fiver I seem to remember. I haven't had any work with them for a while.
@Leavesofautumn, there's no reason you couldn't put this type of work on your CV, after all it is self-employment. I keep a record of my earnings on a spread sheet so that I can keep account of all my payments. I haven't done a self-assessment yet as I have only been doing this since December, but I have kept a monthly sheet of earnings. Appen will invoice you for work done and you submit the invoice for approval. They pay your money into Payoneer which you will be prompted to create an account with when you register with Appen. It's a bit like Paypal. I have only ever done automatic generated hours projects with Appen, but I believe there are projects where you keep track of your own hours and add them to the invoice for approval. I don't think email address matters massively. I set up a different one as I wanted a separate one from personal emails, but I'm sure they don't mind. I don't know about Paypal, but I'm sure there must be a way of adding a new email to your account.
@AliciaWhiskers Smile

TheCanterburyWhales · 07/04/2020 20:28

I set up a new email and a new PayPal account last year for all of these Mumsnet money earner thingies.

ifuckarses · 07/04/2020 21:20

So I've decided to apply for the C-word again, as other people had success... Can't bloody pass the test now. Hope it doesn't go against me as tried a few times. Am I just a thicko or have others struggled?

ifuckarses · 07/04/2020 21:35

Finally got 20/20. Hope they don't look at how many attempts I had Confused

Leavesofautumn · 07/04/2020 22:01

@TheCanterburyWhales Do you get millions of emails? How many per day?

Also another question. The people saying they make about £500 - £800 per month, how many hours are they dedicating to this? If I worked about three or four hours per day, realistically what sort of earnings could I be looking at?

girlicorne · 08/04/2020 00:27

@Leavesofautumn Appen projects are mainly £10 an hour so if you did 4 hours a day 5 days a week that would give you about £800-900 a month.
