£10 a day thread, January part two

I'm so happy to see the thread has been ticking along with so many new people joining us Grin

It's been a shitty couple of weeks for me. I started out the new year with an awful sore throat, and it turns out I have glandular fever, so I've been too exhausted for any serious money making.

I'm actually really enjoying Chip! It's proving to be a great way to stash all the little bits of money from profilic etc. so I can see it actually adding up to something.

This morning I've switched bank accounts (£100 for joining, then £100 if I leave unhappy in six months) and managed to reduce my life insurance policy by £9 a month, and get £85 cashback for doing so via Quidco, so I'm trying to be productive.

Hope everyone is having a good January.

I’ve not heard from Rev yet either. I’m surprised as I’d thought they’d be pretty much automated.
They must’ve had a lot of applications.

BlackCatFan · 14/01/2020 12:40

@MynameisJune they're sent out within the first 10 business days of the month :)

Whatsmyname2019 · 14/01/2020 12:45

@ZetaPuppis lol about £3 here too. Still panicking as to if I’m getting it right. I’m probably flagging up too much but better safe eh?
I take it you’ve not had your statement yet?

MynameisJune · 14/01/2020 12:49

@Whatsmyname2019 no I’ve been doing Mod2 most days, I find it easier and more interesting than monitoring but if the monitoring queue is bigger then I’ll do that.

ZetaPuppis · 14/01/2020 12:51

@Whatsmyname2019 no I haven’t. I can’t remember how much I’m expecting but it was well under £10!
I was just too busy to give it much focus.
I’ll be ecstatic if I make £100 by the end of Jan.

madasaboxofcats · 14/01/2020 13:01

Another Crisper here - made £103 so far this month, aiming for £300 ideally. Just keep missing the surges Angry

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 14/01/2020 13:11

@ZetaPuppis I'm on about £3. I'm preferring monitoring so I'm sticking with that for now. I feel like I need context to be somewhere near sure so if there doesn't seem to be any, I'm clicking links and going looking for it which takes me far too long... I'm still worried about missing something! How do people work between 2 tabs? Confused ....after saying all that though, I am actually really enjoying it!

MynameisJune · 14/01/2020 13:22

@SpirallingThroughAnotherDay this is why I like Mod2 better, most of the time it has context as it will show you the message/tweet they were replying to so it’s easier and quicker, I’m earning about £6 if it’s busy, over £10 If there’s a surge but only £3-4 if there isn’t much in the queue. I’ve just started flipping between two tabs.

Whatsmyname2019 · 14/01/2020 13:32

All Crispers have any of you been told you are making any mistakes?

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 14/01/2020 13:38

@MynameisJune thank you! I'm going to have another try with mod2, I had a few tricky ones and felt monitoring was the easier of the 2....I probably just need to spend more time in there!

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 14/01/2020 13:40

@Whatsmyname2019 I haven't had any feedback other than when I've sent in unsure ones.

ZetaPuppis · 14/01/2020 13:42

No other feedback here either.

MynameisJune · 14/01/2020 13:45

No feedback here either, from what I can tell they either message you on sl**k or email if the shift manager picks up any you’ve done wrong.

SpinneyHill · 14/01/2020 13:46

Lionbridge want Social Media Evaluators GB English speakers only fs30.formsite.com/LB2014/3bmsydyro7/index.html

Whatsmyname2019 · 14/01/2020 13:48

I’ve had no feedback either but when I’m working and slacks pings I always panic it’s too me haha. I found in mod2 not everything showed on my screen which put me off

ZetaPuppis · 14/01/2020 13:50

How do they contact you on Sl...?

MynameisJune · 14/01/2020 13:55

Usually by PM I think

MynameisJune · 14/01/2020 13:56

@Whatsmyname2019 do you mean you have to scroll across to see everything? I think that’s normal unless you’re on a big screen desktop. If not might be an error as I’ve not had any issues with content not loading.

ZetaPuppis · 14/01/2020 13:56

Ok thanks. I don’t think I’ve been contacted.

BlackCatFan · 14/01/2020 13:59

@SpinneyHill I've applied, thank you

madasaboxofcats · 14/01/2020 14:00

@Whatsmyname2019 I've not been contacted re mistakes either but I always panic when slack goes too Grin

Just got an email saying I'm on Phase 2 now so can do mod2 and monitoring.

Whatsmyname2019 · 14/01/2020 14:02

@MynameisJune no I’ve seen to scroll with the content, it’s the tool bar on some items that is half hidden by the content - I can work out what it says but it’s difficult. I’ll have to send them a screenshot but don’t want to look stupid lol

SNISR · 14/01/2020 14:02

I thought you can't work on Lionbridge and appen together so how are people getting about that?
