£10 a day thread, January part two

I'm so happy to see the thread has been ticking along with so many new people joining us Grin

It's been a shitty couple of weeks for me. I started out the new year with an awful sore throat, and it turns out I have glandular fever, so I've been too exhausted for any serious money making.

I'm actually really enjoying Chip! It's proving to be a great way to stash all the little bits of money from profilic etc. so I can see it actually adding up to something.

This morning I've switched bank accounts (£100 for joining, then £100 if I leave unhappy in six months) and managed to reduce my life insurance policy by £9 a month, and get £85 cashback for doing so via Quidco, so I'm trying to be productive.

Hope everyone is having a good January.

How’s everyone getting on with MB? If you’ve a partner are they supportive or is this something for yourself only? xx

Lougle · 21/01/2020 22:22

I invested my £1 top up in Freetrade very carefully Wink and it has made £0.01 since yesterday GrinGrin

whereareyousleep · 21/01/2020 22:48

Yugi · 21/01/2020 22:51

I am £89 up with MB now or I will be after two football matches tomorrow. Very happy with that.

Catatemyhomework · 21/01/2020 23:55

@Glittersocks, MB going well for me. Been doing it just over a week and managed about £85 so far. Going quite slowly though as still finding my feet. Done 5 bookies now I think. I have kept a record of them on excel but can't remember off the top of my head. One of them had a rubbish bonus, 3 lots of £5 that had to be used as separate bets and only one on actual sports. One was virtual sports so I couldn't lay it and one was an accumulator which I have still yet to understand the ins and outs of so I basically gambled with the bonus of that one and lost! DH was sceptical to start with but he is coming round! I think he worries I will become an addict as I have enjoyed the free spins from Betfair! 😄

fanniee · 22/01/2020 07:39

@Duffed, did you get kicked off crisis for not logging in or not doing enough items?

I've been working loads and haven't done much more than a couple of quid a day recently.

fanniee · 22/01/2020 07:47

Crisp. Not crisis

Glittersocks · 22/01/2020 07:48

@Yugi @Catatemyhomework well done both that’s a nice amount. I’m not sure how much I’ve made but it’s around the £50-£60 mark. I started with very low funds. My DH is also sceptical. He worries about gambling too so he’s not onboard with MB yet.

Catatemyhomework · 22/01/2020 08:04

@Glittersocks, I still worry that I'm going to make a mistake. Some of the sites are better than others and some of the welcome offers are better than others. I have learned that I must carefully review the terms and conditions of each very carefully. DH is also worried about future credit checks showing me signed up with 50 bookies. I opened a separate bank account but it would still show up on a credit search as they check all accounts. My aim is to get through the free offers and then I will join profit accumulator or odds monkey and try and understand the other offers. I still have a lot to learn!

Catatemyhomework · 22/01/2020 08:54

If anyone wants to join Team Profit for MB, here's my referral link:

www.teamprofit.com/cat

They are free to join and have very helpful advice for people new to MB. When you join, if you use my referral link, I get £10. Then you need to click on the Betfair signup and then you can get a referral link and get £10.

MoreMoneyPlease · 22/01/2020 09:29

@Catatemyhomework I'm just the same as you for MB, I worry I'll do something wrong and I double check each bet (and sometimes check again on the Team Profit FB page!).

I've done 3 offers so far and have made about £40 (I messed up the first one by letting the free bet expire). I'm going to join either profit accumulator or odds monkey after I've done all the Team Profit offers too, will try the free trial on each and see which one is easier to use!

MrsWombat · 22/01/2020 09:46

There's a new appen project up for anyone aged 20-35. By.That's not me! Envy

StudentHelp · 22/01/2020 09:50

On Freetrade, when does the mystery free share come through?

Apricotfool · 22/01/2020 09:54

freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=FKF1REOV8P&sender=3vT0tJMq

Do Freetrade give more than one referral code? I seem to have a new one.

Is anyone making money on freetrade? If so how!?

Thanks!

Frenchdoors1 · 22/01/2020 09:56

I would be interested to know if anyone is making anything on Freetrade too.

Catatemyhomework · 22/01/2020 10:14

@MoreMoneyPlease, I still check very carefully. Made a silly mistake the other day and hadn't placed a lay bet. Thought I had but it hadn't gone through. It was only a £5 stake but my back bet lost so that was annoying. At least I was able to trigger the free bet and then it more than made up for the loss but I am still finding it very time consuming. I wouldn't bother with NetBet if you haven't already done it. The bonus is 3 X £5 free bets BUT the trigger bet must be £30, the free bets must then be £5 on a virtual sport which you can't lay and £5 in an accumulator. I spent about 3 hours reading up on accumulators and there were free casino spins but you had to wager them before eligible to cash out. I think my profit ended up being less than £3 from them. Wasn't worth the hours I put into it. BetFred on the other hand is much easier and a decent profit! [Smile,]

Catatemyhomework · 22/01/2020 10:20

Freetrade link here. Please top up if you use it as have had a couple now where the user hasn't topped up and I haven't got free shares.
freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=L6DEC5SQWT&sender=JfpzJuY5

Catatemyhomework · 22/01/2020 10:26

@StudentHelp, normally they come through a few days after you see them queued.
@Apricotfool and @Frenchdoors1, I now have £22.68 from free shares. Obviously I would need to sell the shares though. Happy to keep them ticking over for now.

StudentHelp · 22/01/2020 10:29

@cataetemyhomework
I signed up but I think I did it wrong as I can’t see mention of it anywhere

Frenchdoors1 · 22/01/2020 10:29

@Catatemyhomework
Ok, thanks for that!
Do the referrals eventually stop one day?

Catatemyhomework · 22/01/2020 10:36

@StudentHelp, if you've just signed up it takes a while for the transaction to clear when you top up your ,£1. Once it clears your free share will queue and then you find out what it is a few days later. Then you start getting referral links and can get more shares that way.
@Frenchdoors1, the problem with the referrals is that they require your referee to top up £1. Two of mine haven't now and my referrals are becoming less frequent now.

StudentHelp · 22/01/2020 10:38

@catatemyhomework
I signed up a few days ago and my top up is showing but nothing else

Frenchdoors1 · 22/01/2020 10:40

@Catatemyhomework
Ahh, I see.
So they do get less frequent then.. I had a feeling they would.
Thank you! :)
