I'm so happy to see the thread has been ticking along with so many new people joining us Grin

It's been a shitty couple of weeks for me. I started out the new year with an awful sore throat, and it turns out I have glandular fever, so I've been too exhausted for any serious money making.

I'm actually really enjoying Chip! It's proving to be a great way to stash all the little bits of money from profilic etc. so I can see it actually adding up to something.

This morning I've switched bank accounts (£100 for joining, then £100 if I leave unhappy in six months) and managed to reduce my life insurance policy by £9 a month, and get £85 cashback for doing so via Quidco, so I'm trying to be productive.

Hope everyone is having a good January.

Any one want a free trade link that will definitely use it? Dm me

Whatsmyname2019 · 21/01/2020 14:09

@bananamuffin99 everyone seems to think that about the crisp test. Think I heard back the next day

StudentHelp · 21/01/2020 14:25

Managed £6.30 today so over my £5 goal Smile

bananamuffin99 · 21/01/2020 14:39

@Whatsmyname2019 did you so enough to pass and start working? I thought after doing the modules and passing them that I was going to be OK, but the actual test felt much harder, it felt like it was more ambigious and not so easy to identify a threat to me.

I shall try to be positive though.

bananamuffin99 · 21/01/2020 14:43

Oh I just got email, I passed!! I am so happy!

BertieBotts · 21/01/2020 14:47

OK. Hopefully that BeMyEye from today goes through OK and I should be at around €66 for the month so far :) Much better than anything I managed last year so I am pleased with that. Hopefully I'll get going on Crisp, Appen, uTest and so on at some point too.

Lougle · 21/01/2020 14:52

Oh well done, bananamuffin!!! I got a 'good work, keep it up' email from my TTL and I felt like a 6 year old with a sparkly sticker Blush

Whatsmyname2019 · 21/01/2020 14:58

@bananamuffin99 well done !!!

ZetaPuppis · 21/01/2020 15:11

@bananamuffin99 Well done! I’m still going so slow.

StudentHelp · 21/01/2020 15:11

I spoke too soon and I've now earned £10.23!

rhij86 · 21/01/2020 15:33

@studenthelp woop well done! What have you been doing?
How did your exams go?

StudentHelp · 21/01/2020 15:37

@rhij86
Prolific! I’m getting survey after survey, I’m up to £15.08 now!

And I’m not sure, they were a mixed bag but I’m hoping I did enough to pass (50%) we started our next module on Thursday so I’m just as busy again.

I feel like it never stops. I hope you’re well

SimplyBlue · 21/01/2020 15:37

Hi - random question but I was looking through my paypal and I saw that a payment of 0.60 euros was paid to me a couple of weeks ago. I can't figure out why.

It was paid by a company called AppLike GmbH which I have googled and I definitely did not sign up to them. It must be another company that's connected to them in some way, or another name they use that I signed up to. It wasn't a lot of money of course, but it is something. And I want to have a look and make sure I'm not missing out on more... does anyone know where this could be from?

@SimplyBlue no idea on that one sorry - hope you find out!

@StudentHelp fingers crossed for your exam results! How many years do you have left in uni?
I'm good thanks, finally (fingers crossed!) got over the lurgy we all came down with mid-December. Baby's first birthday and first Christmas at home were brilliant, and second baby is cooking away nicely! :)
I just need to get something moving again on here. I was removed from the one steady appen project I had, so this month isn't going well. I've been logged in to prolific all day and only managed £1.84 :-\

ZetaPuppis · 21/01/2020 15:58

@mumofone2019 you’re doing well. I’m on around £3. I sometimes umm and ahh too much I think. I’d be thrilled on £8 Smile

StudentHelp · 21/01/2020 16:07

@rhij86

Glad to hear both your babies are doing well! When's your second due?

I have 3 more years left at uni as I'm only halfway there Grin. The time has flown though. Luckily, they let us know our results within 3 weeks so I don't have too long to wait and it could be worse, my poor boyfriend has had his exams spread over 3 weeks and I think that'd be much more stressful for me.
Mine were 8 hours over the monday and the tuesday which was intense but not unbearable.

It's so strange how they allocate surveys on prolific, I get a lot of student based ones but other than that they don't seem that relevant to me so I'd have suspected others to have been offered them.
I was offered multiple at a time once or twice today and picked the highest paying one and the rest were still there once I was done!

rhij86 · 21/01/2020 16:26

@studenthelp yes I'm the same as you, I'd like the exams a bit closer together so I could get them over and done with! I used to have 4 or 5 in a week which I found bearable as I had just enough time after one to do some last minute cramming for the next!

It's luck of the draw I guess with prolific, I'll just keep plodding away!

Second baby due early July so there will be 18months between them. Thinking I may have bitten off more than I can chew but too late for that now 😂

feistymama21 · 21/01/2020 16:49

@flube I wonder if you are right as I also set it to the uk site. Will try again tonight on a different computer and stay in the US site and see if that makes a difference.

StudentHelp · 21/01/2020 16:52

@rhij86
That's a lovely gap, I think! Although I don't have any children of my own, my siblings have an 18 month gap and they're so close to each other and would occupy each other once they were both old enough to play, apparently.

Other family members also have a similar gap and found it hard when they were very young but again easier at the preschool age. I, on the other hand, was much younger than my mam's middle child so needed a lot more attention and more organised play dates.

Some days I get nothing from prolific and I sit with the tab open all day and other days I managed £10, think today has been my best to date.

I can see one of my Huyu codes has been used so I still have 2 left if anyone wants them:

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 21/01/2020 17:52

My 2 have 20 months between them. I won't lie, it was hard when they were little but that's probably got more to do with the oldest being autistic than anything else. It passes quick and its great now they are 6 and 8. Although the 8 year old is still 'challenging' lol!
