£10 a day thread, January part two

I'm so happy to see the thread has been ticking along with so many new people joining us Grin

It's been a shitty couple of weeks for me. I started out the new year with an awful sore throat, and it turns out I have glandular fever, so I've been too exhausted for any serious money making.

I'm actually really enjoying Chip! It's proving to be a great way to stash all the little bits of money from profilic etc. so I can see it actually adding up to something.

This morning I've switched bank accounts (£100 for joining, then £100 if I leave unhappy in six months) and managed to reduce my life insurance policy by £9 a month, and get £85 cashback for doing so via Quidco, so I'm trying to be productive.

Hope everyone is having a good January.

Just doing the Monese - you have to pay £4.99 for card delivery?

NCforsafety · 20/01/2020 11:54

Appen is doing my nut in and on Neevo I got to 1002 of the orthographic thingymabob. But now its closed. Well chuffed but want some more!
Just wanted to prompt people to persevere on Qmee - I'm up to £685 for the last 12 months which has been very handy boosts to cash out when I needed it. I have it open on my browser all day but only really go for the web camera access ones that pay over £1 and then a few others if I have time/inclination. Prob do three or four a day.

GachaBread · 20/01/2020 11:55

And BeMyEye is well and truly off to a great Monday. This is how I like it. @spacepoppers easy jobs just dropped in Curry's now.

IrritableBitchSyndrome · 20/01/2020 12:07

If anyone has still to sign up to Chip for a free £10, and wants a referral code, mine is Y4NRMGXF. I would be super chuffed if 3 people use it today as that earns me a nice bonus, and every little counts!

So far this year I have qualified with Crisp, but not yet heard back, got nowhere as yet with any appen projects, earned 85p with Prolific, and £73.50 by starting an ISA through top cashback. I'm hopeful my free share from trading212 might come through soon!

anxiouswaiting · 20/01/2020 12:12

@lilmishap yes that is what happened to me, they said I'd done no work on a project and I told them my spreadsheet and SRT said otherwise, took about 4 days but then they approved my invoice. @rhij86 nope no explaination, no reply to e-mail and seems others are having the same issue. They were my main 'job'last month and I racked up $1100 so pretty much my whole months income so its really screwed me financially. Lucky that I got my 2nd installment of my masters student loan today otherwise we would really be in trouble.

@catatemyhomework I did wonder that but I was offered work in Nov and Dec one which I did and another I am waiting to start and all the e-mails have gone to the address I am trying to login with so no idea what is going on.

anxiouswaiting · 20/01/2020 12:15

If anyone is interested in cashback to pay your phone bill when you use your credit/debit card please consider using my link. We get £1 credit each if you use my code.

My bill is £12 and I'll get £10 off this month thanks to airtime rewards. No effort it just adds cashback when I use my card at certain retailers.

My favourite retailers now pay for my mobile bill, join @airtimerewards and get free credit using my code 6A9RMCKD airtimerewards.app.link/friend

MoreMoneyPlease · 20/01/2020 12:20

@GachaBread Those Veganary ones aren't showing up on my BeMyEye. I haven't got any local jobs on there at the moment. except one for Currys - which someone else has claimed! I must have local competition Grin

spacepoppers · 20/01/2020 12:22

Thanks so much for the heads up @GachaBread!

Sadly none left of the vegan ones and no sign of curry's yet - I think it definitely helps to have levelled up and have access closer to the published time. I'll continue to keep plugging away and keep refreshing the app in the hope I get some close by.

GachaBread · 20/01/2020 12:23

@MoreMoneyPlease the curry's ones have been taken down as they are tweaking them. Keep watching them they will drop back soon

margaritasbythesea · 20/01/2020 12:23

I'm sorry people are getting downhearted and frustrated, particularly about Appen. I am feeling paranoid about them as I didn't pass two exams. To be honest, I didn't do the exams particularly carefully. Lesson learned. Now I am worried that they don't want me for anything because I didn't pass them. I find not really knowing how the company works makes it a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. Then again, not being paid for work done is bound to just plain piss anyone off. So sorry to those suffering that.

I am going to do the sign up for Cambly tomorrow. I am following very helpful crib notes from Zebramid that she posted last year and will happily report back if anyone is interested. For those that don't know, it is an pay-per-minute website for people wanting to have conversation with native English speakers.

I passed Crisp on the third attempt. Very pleased as was a bit downhearted but I wrote out all the notes and went through them for each question and checked all risks I thought were even remotely possible. Now I join the never-ending waitlist!

GachaBread · 20/01/2020 12:26

@spacepoppers @MoreMoneyPlease looks like they have taken vegan and curry's down. When that happens it is because they are tweaking them or fixing bug fixes. They will be definitely back up some time today. Could be 15mins could be 6 hours. I hate when they do this, keep watching both are very easy to do

EmmaNumberThree · 20/01/2020 12:34

I had a really weird email from Lionbridge this morning asking for me to verify my android phone. I'm wondering if it is a hoax. Have other people had this email?

EmmaNumberThree · 20/01/2020 12:39

Incase anybody hasn't signed up to clickworker yet, here is a referral code

www.clickworker.com/en/clickworker?utm_source=2822427&utm_campaign=CW4CW&utm_medium=email

margaritasbythesea · 20/01/2020 12:51

What's Clickworker like EmmaNumberThree? I haven't paid much attention to discussion of it until now I am afraid.

EmmaNumberThree · 20/01/2020 12:53

@margaritasbythesea like any of the other's it's really hit and miss. I've been on it for about 4 months and made about £40, but it's been quiet recently. At the moment they have tasks on such as record yourself saying certain phrases. They have had some really good pinterest ones in the past where you have had to check the relevance of a pin to a search term. They were really good and a lot of us made a lot of money from those. Worth signing up to imo even if it's not immediate reward.

margaritasbythesea · 20/01/2020 13:01

Ok. Thanks. Will use your link. Do they email you with work or do you have to keep checking?

EmmaNumberThree · 20/01/2020 13:07

@margaritabythesea no they don't email you so you do have to keep an eye out but it's not like prolific where they go in 30 seconds, you usually have a decent chance to get on a job.

GachaBread · 20/01/2020 13:11

@spacepoppers @MoreMoneyPlease they are back up now go go go!

BertieBotts · 20/01/2020 13:18

I've deleted Streetbees as seemed a load of rubbish here. Kept asking me to fill in surveys but not displaying the full question.

Emma, I'm not on Lionbridge but I had that with one of these sites, possibly utest. Seemed legit to me but I've done testing before and it's an easy way to grab the specs of a phone as most peoplr don't necessarily know all the details.

Something I've done since Thursday has signed me up to a load of spam Angry my email is full of mail order Russian brides, fantastic mysterious giant wins and tarot card readings this morning. Luckily just the spam catcher, not the main. I think it is probably one of the "get paid to play" game sites. Which are all shit and not worth it so I will be binning those.

Lougle · 20/01/2020 13:25

Lion ridge do ask you to validate your phone. Sadly, I think it's why I have just been turned down.. I'm considering getting a newer phone.

I'm very excited by UTest. I'm doing their academy challenge today and I've found 5 bugs so far, 1 rejected because it wasn't seen as a fault (good for learning) and 4 approved. No money, of course, because it's a practice cycle, but encouraging that I'm finding bugs and I'm not even a bit fed up with it after a few hours. Smile

EmmaNumberThree · 20/01/2020 13:27

@Lougle ah ok thanks for that. It asked about an android phone which I don't even have so something has gone wrong somewhere!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 20/01/2020 13:31

Re- monese, i didn't have to pay anything for my card, it was totally free.

EmmaNumberThree · 20/01/2020 13:36

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock the cheeky buggers, I can sign up for the account but have to pay £4.99 for the card. I get the £10 bonus when I use the card...

MoreMoneyPlease · 20/01/2020 13:39

Thanks for the reminder about Prolific, just made $5 in 15 minutes so not bad!

@GachaBread Curry's back up, still no Veganary (which is a shame because I'm actually doing it!)

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 20/01/2020 13:41

Thats really sneaky! I've never used my card either and still got the bonus. I just use it for online stuff.
