I'm so happy to see the thread has been ticking along with so many new people joining us Grin

It's been a shitty couple of weeks for me. I started out the new year with an awful sore throat, and it turns out I have glandular fever, so I've been too exhausted for any serious money making.

I'm actually really enjoying Chip! It's proving to be a great way to stash all the little bits of money from profilic etc. so I can see it actually adding up to something.

This morning I've switched bank accounts (£100 for joining, then £100 if I leave unhappy in six months) and managed to reduce my life insurance policy by £9 a month, and get £85 cashback for doing so via Quidco, so I'm trying to be productive.

Hope everyone is having a good January.

I failed the Rev test Sad I got the email the next day though, so there's hope for you guys yet!

I did qualify for the Lionbridge one but haven't heard anything else after passing the test and nothing is showing up on my WorkMarket app, has anyone else heard anything?

Can anyone advise me what Figure Eight is please? I had an email from Appen after I passed the B**r test asking me to set up a figure eight account. After a lot of hastle today I managed it I think but not sure what it's for. Is it for the platform you need to work on for certain Appen projects or is it for payments? I have no idea.

I think that Figure8 is the platform that records the work you've done, so that you can be paid.

Thanks @Lougle. I thought it might be that but wasn't sure. There are so many passwords to sort out in this line of work! I try to use the google chrome manage passwords, but seem to have had problems with it today with this figure eight platform. Managed to do it in the end with edge. I have been finding lately that chrome doesn't always work and have had to use edge. When doing matched betting I could only use the Coral website from edge. Seem to be learning a lot lately! Grin

I haven't heard back from Rev yet either.

i'm starting to fret about the lack of actual work, day 18 of this month and there's nooooo way i'll hit the £10 a day goal!

I've made a grand total of....£3.07. But, I've applied for lots, done some prep work, taken tests and I have two free shares on their way. It's progress, even if it isn't cash.

Figure-eight is weird to sign up for, I did it outside of Appen and you have Two different logins

Thanks @lilmishap, was it Appen that asked you to sign up for figure eight? I ask because it happened after I got an email from Appen saying I'd passed B**r but that I now had to sign up for for figure eight. I think I've done it now but it's taken me ages to do and as the email says there is no work at the moment, I wonder if it was a waste of time or if it is something I will use again later.

@Tohaveandtohold Which test? There's a few!
I heard day after the first, but I think they're off for the weekend, they send you a workmarket link, then support portal login and the learning management/guidelines portal. I got all those on the same day.
I'm now waiting on the work logins which can take up to 5 days.

So far, I have a grand total of £35.
I’m aiming for £100 for this month.
I’ve been unwell so that hasn’t helped.
I’m sure we’ll all start doing better soon. Everyone here has a good a work ethic and ambition, so all we need is an opportunity and we’ll get there Smile

Same here @ZetaPuppis, it's not been a great month. Think I'll be doing well if I manage £200 this month. Still not been paid $40 for isoftstone work, but apart from that, not much else right now unless I manage to smash matched betting by the 31st. Think I've made about £35 so far on MB. Waiting to hear on lots of stuff, UTest voice project which I've been accepted for but don't know when it will start. Appen B**r but no work at the moment. Isoftstone web evaluation project still ploughing through training material. Haven't heard from Rev since taking the test.

@GachaBread I did one of the pet treat ones, then I did two of the money laundry ones yesterday - although I realised pretty quickly there was a technical hitch with them as I was unable to upload, so I contacted customer support and they cancelled them, paid me for my time then republished them with bug fixes, so I did them again today as I'm so local, plus an extra one because they're easy and I need the points lol. I did one of the impulse ones too as I was already in store - you were right, not worth the money...

@spacepoppers well done you. Now you see how easy it is I bet you really like it now. It is still very slow this month which is frustrating but hopefully soon it will be back to normal. Technical glitches rarely happen too but if you encounter them just message support and you will not lose out and will always be compensated. I am so happy that you are seeing results from it.

@lilmishap, thank you. it’s the language test I passed on Thursday. They sent me the work market link, a link to the test and one to sign the agreement. I did all that on thurs and replied to the email to confirm I’ve done it so just wondering how long to hear back after that.

B**r project on Appen. I sat the assessment and got an email about further assessments and welcome to the project. My tab now says work it but no Figure8 log in. Did anyone else get this? Does this mean I haven't qualified? I'm really confused.

How funny - I have just received an email from Appen about my profile on ProZ.com (that's transcription, translation and proofreading if anyone wants to sign up to them) - have been trying to remember the name of that site to share it here for a while now. And is probably a kick up the bum for me to sign up to Appen properly. I was putting it off because of the CV.
