I know there have been numerous threads on this topic, but I have struggled to understand how to go about getting started. The more I read about it the more overwhelmed I become. Spreadsheets, separate bank accounts , odds, blah blah . It may as well be quantum mechanics!
I need the money for a specific reason so I need to get to grips with it all and get started. I am an intelligent person, I just need to persevere.
I would really appreciate some very basic advice. I know about OddsMonkey and other sites. I have watched the videos and understand the basic concept, but then I am lost. I don't want to make mistakes and lose money.
Help!

Attached (hopefully!) is an image of the spreadsheet used to guarantee profit for WHGG offer. You put in the odds and can amend the bet you actually place.

Fingers crossed the offer works!

I've locked in profit for WH GG for £5. I need Tottenham to score first and Chelsea to win and I will be in the mega bucks. Not looking likely, zero goals yet.

But regardless at least there is finally a way to lock in profit.

thefavourite · 27/02/2019 21:22

I'm the opposite @coppermine, I need Chelsea to score first then Tottenham to come back & win. Chelsea have scored now, but not long to go for 2 goals by Tottenham!

PandaSky · 27/02/2019 21:33

I also have a 2up on Chelsea but even if they get a second goal now , there is not going to be much profit in cashing out. Might just do it to hopefully cover QLs.

thefavourite · 27/02/2019 21:43

Yes I have a 2up on Liverpool @PandaSky, Paddy Power have paid out but when I went to trade it, it was only 1p difference so I just left it!

thefavourite · 27/02/2019 21:46

Yay @PandaSky, 2up, go go go!

thefavourite · 27/02/2019 21:49

I wish I'd done one of those free spins for goals offers now! Loads of goals!

ChakiraChakra · 27/02/2019 21:51

Argh looks like my footie acca is going to win at the bookie 😭

PandaSky · 27/02/2019 22:02

I went to cash out with £14 profit but it wouldn't accept it as they halted all bets 😫then it was immediately 1.0001 which was same as my QL 😫😫 why couldn't they have scored those goals earlier!!

PandaSky · 27/02/2019 22:03

All my bets have won at the bookies tonight too!! So annoying...

thefavourite · 27/02/2019 22:41

Yes I know, I had the same problem. Trading/cashing out must only work if the goals are scored much earlier in the match! There's an interesting thread in OM forum about 2up and whether it's really worth it in the long run...

DonkeyScramble · 27/02/2019 23:35

Jesus, this is turning into a part-time job! I spend hours each evening backing, laying, tracking and now doing casino offers. My to-do list each day is immense. I'm not convinced my spreadsheet is right either (downloaded from internet) as profit has shot up £300 in under a week, which doesn't seem right. I've started a separate log of casino offers and am barely in profit from those.

Golden0ldie · 28/02/2019 08:30

I had a flaming disastrous night last night with losses of around £15. So so stupid and put an inplay bet on during play for a draw ... just as Southampton scored. The draw then went out to 18 on the exchange. Cost me 7.43. Then in my rush, I thought I was laying Chelsea ... I was but against the next goal. Should have cashed it out but decided to risk it ahd lost £11. Had locked in £5.40 profit on GG using the OM spreadshert so that helped ... a bit.

Lessons learned!

DonkeyScramble · 28/02/2019 10:46

In play bets should be placed at half time as the odds are stable.

Golden0ldie · 28/02/2019 14:58

Oh believe me Donkey, I know! I stupidly risked it as was rushing to do something ... never again!!

Fairyliz · 28/02/2019 16:12

Can we talk Casinos?

I joined four and made £180 on the initial sign up which was good. However I can't find any good offers since. I did one which was deposit £5 and get £25 bonus which sounded good. By the time I had wagered the initial deposit and bonus my balance was showing as £19. However in order to withdraw I had to wager 40 times the initial bonus so £1000! I tried but obviously ran out of money before I got anywhere near that.

So any advice/tips?

Fairyliz · 28/02/2019 16:35

Just a heads up sky have a promotion on the first race at Cheltenham. Money back up to£20 if your horse doesn't win! Sound pretty good to me, can anyone check I have it right.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/02/2019 16:39

Yes that’s right, their running it daily during Cheltenham I believe.

Golden0ldie · 28/02/2019 22:21

Fairyliz, which casino new account offers did you do? That’s a decent profit.

thefavourite · 28/02/2019 23:19

Well that was hairy!

After laying an earlier trigger bet, I had a £10 free bet to use for the darts on Moplay. As the match wasn't great, I decided to overlay, thinking Van Gerwen was sure to win. Fuck me, odds were going mad and towards the end of the match, it was clear the rank outsider, Wade, was going to win and I was set to lose £32.50. This was real gambling (as I'd overlaid) and really stupid. I didn't know what I was doing but managed to cash out in a panic and ended up being £0.05 in profit but down £0.62 after taking QL into account, not great for a £10 FB but disaster averted!

Golden0ldie · 01/03/2019 09:43

Oh that would have hurt ... well done for cashing it out.

floppyflappy · 01/03/2019 09:52

can anyone help with Bingo please?

I just watched the TP bingo join ups video very carefully. Psyched myself up to buy tickets for the right games at the right time and quickly before any winnings came in.

But when I got in to the Foxy bingo site, it's all completely different! different offer - play £10 get £30 instead of play £30 get £95. Never mind I thought, it's still free money.

But then it wouldn't let me play most of the games and my bonus is nowhere to be seen.

Help!

ChakiraChakra · 01/03/2019 11:25

@Fairyliz (or anybody else) any chance of a link to a guide for the sky horseracing one? I've been ill in bed for 5 days, hopeing to do some mb if I can actually sit up today 🙈 but if I'm not very careful I'll do it wrong as concentration not great 😭

Casino reloads generally do have very high wagering requirements. I did a few but you have to have the bankroll to cope with the losses as well as the gains. There's a guide somewhere about how to work out if it's +EV, obviously only do those.

thefavourite · 01/03/2019 12:27

The Sky offer is in a yellow banner on the homepage @ChakiraChakra, hope you feel better soon!

Fairyliz · 01/03/2019 12:35

Golden0ldie the casino offers I have done are Virgin Games, Heart Bingo, Starspins and Buzz bingo all via Quidco.

The best one was Heart. I went through quidco so got £9 cashback and had to deposit £10. After wagering my £10 and some free spins I was about £7 up. But you then got 200 free bingo tickets so I put 50 tickets on four games and won £150.
I have not seen any good reloads most of them have very high wagering requirements. However each of the sites have free daily games and I have won small amounts on them. Last night I got free entry to a bingo room for one hour and just played whilst watching tv and won £7.50.
