I know there have been numerous threads on this topic, but I have struggled to understand how to go about getting started. The more I read about it the more overwhelmed I become. Spreadsheets, separate bank accounts , odds, blah blah . It may as well be quantum mechanics!
I need the money for a specific reason so I need to get to grips with it all and get started. I am an intelligent person, I just need to persevere.
I would really appreciate some very basic advice. I know about OddsMonkey and other sites. I have watched the videos and understand the basic concept, but then I am lost. I don't want to make mistakes and lose money.

@HPelham it does take a while to click - I was argh at first and now I'm placing bets while watching TV, and not panicking when I have £500 in the exchange!

A simple one is say bet £10, get £10 free bet

So you take your £10 and aim to lose as little as possible (known as a qualifying loss). Then you get your £10 free bet and aim to gain as much as possible

Thanks @Fluffycloudland77. I think I am feeling frustrated as I don't feel any richer yet! I still have some of my own money in the bookies and exchanges and I haven't withdrawn any profit yet apart from £18 to cover mth1 OM subs. I am trying to build up a £1k bankroll which I know will make things easier in the long run, but it's frustrating not seeing this money, but I suppose it's another way of saving really, it's just in the bookies/exchanges rather than in the bank or under my bed!

Anything we can help with @HPelam? Can you explain what you've done and we can help you understand it?

Please can I jump in and ask a quick question. My DH is doing MB and is using TP and OM and is plodding along nicely but has no interest in Bingo and I wondered if it was something I could do without loosing tons of money. Does anyone have any tips and could maybe share them with me? Or is it a silly idea?

Very little money in bingo. Some sign ups worth doing though - read the OM guides - esp lucky numbers. Also Mecca BOB - if you spend £10 but fine get a full house you get your cash back the next day. Again check OM guide.

YouTube have some good matched betting bingo videos. There is a technique to it but it's easier to see someone else do it.

Jackpot joy is basically the same as heart so I'd do the same . Every time I've won ... when I with drew £10 I'd actually won £13.50 etc so was leaving some in to play with .

You can also play the daily game aslong as you've wagered £2 within 7 days

OM say to look for 5+ odds for the first, risk free bet, and that thevoffer ought to be worth over £30. I can get odds in and around the 5’s but only 89-91% match so return around £26. Have spent theblast three days trying to get something better but to no avail and have £50 sitting in Unibet ... plus trying to keep liability at exchange to cover it. Grrrr.
