I know there have been numerous threads on this topic, but I have struggled to understand how to go about getting started. The more I read about it the more overwhelmed I become. Spreadsheets, separate bank accounts , odds, blah blah . It may as well be quantum mechanics!
I need the money for a specific reason so I need to get to grips with it all and get started. I am an intelligent person, I just need to persevere.
I would really appreciate some very basic advice. I know about OddsMonkey and other sites. I have watched the videos and understand the basic concept, but then I am lost. I don't want to make mistakes and lose money.
Help!

£189 up! Just had to try the chat bot flirt thing to get my Ladbrokes free bets but they came through for me. I've got a great reload offer with Betstars too for the next 4 weeks.

ChakiraChakra · 21/01/2019 23:16

That's quidco for you though zoflora. One of the sign ups I did for it was 20 cogs, I've allegedly got £12.50 sitting in there but they want me to do another 19 offers before I can have anything, and they all involve eg sign up to a magazine trial for 99p, can only cancel it on the one specific date 3 months down the line etc. Still half tempted to see it through but it's a lot of hassle.

Golden0ldie · 22/01/2019 15:52

Have you guys done most of the OM new account sport offers? Those that are bet x get x free bet with wagering requirements are scaring me off but I’m not sure why given that I have enough of a bankroll now to cover them and need to do them to increase profits. Any words of wisdom?

jjemimapuddleduck · 22/01/2019 23:53

I am happy today as I've got all my TBs for the week sorted and they should give me FB to use on the weekend FA Cup matches netting around £60-£70 profit after qualifying losses are accountd for. I have the BetStars offer for the next 4w too and also had a Ladbrokes offer today for bet £20, get £20 FB.

I have also done the Trading212 offer (not MB related I know but seems like an easy way to make some ££ for very little work) - I now have a share worth £17.80 which will unlock to sell later this week. Here's my link if anyone wants it:-

Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to £100?

Create a Trading212Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3ikPmjo and we both get a free share!

Gammeldragz · 23/01/2019 08:22

@Golden0ldie go for higher odds then hopefully it loses to the exchange and problem solved. Doesn't always work of course, I usually adjust the lay so that if the bookie wins my QL is zero and I lose a bit more if it goes to the exchange but no rollover then, otherwise you have a QL on each rollover.

Gammeldragz · 23/01/2019 08:24

@jjemimapuddleduck that looks interesting, I'll have a look.

misstiggiwinkle · 23/01/2019 08:47

Can I join? I've just started out but am about £200 up in 10 days so extremely pleased. Would like to move on from the little £3 wins to something bigger but finding it hard to find them. The £30+ wins are great!

I have also done the share offer, it's a no brainier! Just been credited with a Bed Bath and Beyond share worth £20! Very pleased. Just have to wait 3 days to disinvest but so little work.

My link if anyone's interested?

Create a Trading 212 Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3ih19HC and we both get a free share!

jjemimapuddleduck · 23/01/2019 10:23

How do you know who (what company) the share is with @misstiggiwinkle? I find the mobile site tricky to work! My share has dropped in value to £13.81 today, might hang onto it for a while to see if it rises again!

Well done on your profits so far, that's similar to mine. I'm really enjoying it. Have you signed up to BetStars and Ladbrokes? After completing the welcome offer, BetStars have offered me a bet £50, £20 FB for the next 4w and I got a bet £20, £20 FB offer from Ladbrokes this week too.

Golden0ldie · 23/01/2019 11:01

Wow those are good offers jjemima ... I’m not getting anything like those, all my emails seem to be enhanced odds or free spins - haven’t done any due to wagering.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/01/2019 13:11

I won £19.54 on William hills 5 free spins. It’s the most I’ve ever won on one of those.

Withdrew as soon as I could.

Coppermine · 23/01/2019 13:17

I just did the 5 free spins and got an amazing 9p Grin

misstiggiwinkle · 23/01/2019 14:54

Can someone explain to me how the bingo stuff works? I've just hopped on to the William hill free bingo between 2-3pm on a Wednesday and bought my free ticket but have no idea how to play!!

Coppermine · 23/01/2019 15:20

Oh I did the worms reloaded 5 free spins too and got 8p. I'm really not very lucky with casino

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/01/2019 15:56

Look at the YouTube bingo videos Miss. I keep promising myself I’ll give it a whirl.

Casinos are pure luck, you’ve just got to keep trying and if you don’t win at least you haven’t lost anything.

I did loads of the Leo Vegas casino £10 free credit, didn’t win anything and did too many so they banned me. Totally my own fault.

Gammeldragz · 23/01/2019 19:54

£125 up on Casino today after barely breaking even yesterday. Up £1222 this month. Plus some on sports.

Golden0ldie · 23/01/2019 22:55

On the subject of casino, please can someone give me a dummy’s guide. Take the Blacktype offer where you get a free £5 casino bonus with the bonus being wagered by 20 (£100) before you can withdraw. So with my risk free bet I won at the bookie so have £90 sitting there and will presumably be credited with this bonus. Should I withdraw the £90 cash prior to using the bonus? If not, say it wins a few pounds, then I use the bonus funds and my own cash to complete the wagering, yes? Am I not at risk of losing any bonus winnings plus whatever makes up to £100 of my money in wagering? Or is it probable that I would have more wins?

I’m even confusing myself .... anyone?!

Gammel, that is fabulous. Perhaps I need one to one coaching for a few days!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/01/2019 07:34

I’d withdraw the £90. Then play the slots on minimum bet size.

The £25 I won yesterday was on 20p spins. It’s pure chance if you win or not.

ChakiraChakra · 24/01/2019 08:20

@Golden0ldie

Do you mean it's a blackjack bonus? (If the bookie is called blacktype pls Ignore this bit) - Have a Google, there are guides on how to use it to make money. I agree that emptying your account of real money before claiming it is a good call.

There are guides on you tube. Although it's not guaranteed like matched betting, there is a strategy and a fairly tight expected return. Standard deviations are involved and everything! Grin

In general if it's free spins of slot machines, start with your £5 bonus and play max amount of lines for min stake - often 2p for 15 lines, so 30p a spin. You can autospin - 10 autospins = £3 a go. Keep going until either the total you've bet (made up of the free £5 and any winnings from it) is £100 or you run out of money to play with. After that you can withdraw anything you have won. That's the theory anyway. I've won £2.53, £6'13 and £4.43 on free spins this way so far - also twice won nothing. The you tube tutorials advide you to play highest return games - so 95%+ return.

jjemimapuddleduck · 24/01/2019 09:11

@Gammeldragz, can you explain what you adjust here (what calculator do you use to adjust the lay stake and liability) and what you mean by rollover please?

go for higher odds then hopefully it loses to the exchange and problem solved. Doesn't always work of course, I usually adjust the lay so that if the bookie wins my QL is zero and I lose a bit more if it goes to the exchange but no rollover then, otherwise you have a QL on each rollover

ChakiraChakra · 24/01/2019 21:53

If anybody hadn't ywt signed up to sneakers Smarkets, if you use my referral code you and I both get £10 when you place your first £20 liability (which you'd offset on betfair. I did a referral when I joined, I can vouch it works. Use code yiwo53 when you sign up x

Gammeldragz · 24/01/2019 21:57

@jjemimapuddleduck if you click the advanced option on the calculator (on Oddsmonkey, not sure others have it) it gives you options to underlay or over lay.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/01/2019 13:09

£18 from a £2 casino bonus. I won £75 and set auto spin to max loss of £40 thinking I’ll wager the last £15 to the max win of £20 and came back to £18.

Bit miffed.

jjemimapuddleduck · 25/01/2019 16:24

Thanks @Gammeldragz.

So all my mad trigger betting this week is finally paying off! I now have free bets placed/layed or planned to be placed and layed all over the place this weekend! My qualifying loss is quite high though so I am going to try and work on getting that under 5% of gross profit going forwards. I know I should sign up to OM but it just feels like so much money!

In terms of what I've been doing...as well as the Ladbrokes bet £20/get £20 FB and the Betstars bet £50/get £20 FB I mentioned earlier in the week, I was also emailed a bet £5/get £5 FB from Ladbrokes. I also logged onto William Hill this afternoon and was immediately offered a £10 FB, no TB requirements! This was only on sign-up via the mobile site (didnt show up in my desktop site). I have also signed up to Moplay, a betting site which found me via Google and they have a bet £10/get £30 FB offer on. I need to back and lay this £30 FB but have rinsed my liability for the moment. I've also signed up to and completed the requirements for the PP and betway free bet clubs so that should kick in with free bets over the weekend and next week.

I was offered 10 free spins on Ladbrokes with no wagering requirements and came out £2.97 up which is withdrawable.

And just in case anyone hasn't done this yet, please click my link (no-one has yet Bear) - free money!

Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to £100?

Create a Trading212Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3ikPmjo and we both get a free share!

I'm going to withdraw my share soon. It was worth $17.80 (not £17.80 unfortunately) but is happily sitting at around £13.50 just now.

How is everyone else doing? Tips are always welcome!

jjemimapuddleduck · 25/01/2019 16:26

PS and I've done the GG offer for the Arsenal /Man U. match tonight. £1.41 qualifying loss but again offset by the free bet expected profit of £7.50+.

ChakiraChakra · 25/01/2019 20:05

£1.60 from free spins on betfair arcade tonight!

Debit card has finally come through, so need to get into some offers tonight 😁
