Spongebobette · 29/09/2018 18:17

This is the 43rd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

I know the eagle manager who qualified top on the list. She lives near me. She had a baby this year as well as already being mum to two older children and barely took a day off from posting on FB.

It must be so bloody exhausting. She seems like a decent sort. I can’t understand how she’s let herself get caught up in all this shit. Her husband is also the last person you’d expect to be prancing up and down on a stage in a sash.

And also, didn’t Yawn say earlier on in the year that she’d already qualified for Phoenix? Why isn’t she on the list?

  1. Tax bill bot - held up as one of top trainers by FL. What the hell happened to the money - she was one of the least showy ones and always used the premise of being ex John Lewis to give herself some gravitas - no children as well. I know the bonus was 10% of previous year so am I right in saying that her house if she bought one is unsecured away from the business - something very fishy - unless house in her husbands name.
  2. In recent FL posts, Uber is described by BP as a sapphire manager - I thought she was a diamond - has anyone a link to the structure at all?
  3. Also of 7 have achieved to go on rally - why aren't they going - surely they would get some sort of pressure from BP to be the poster boys of UK as future business in the UK relies on mini bots seeing the top guys live it up
Teddy1970 · 01/10/2018 23:30

Same here Paddy I don't understand the FL rankings at all....

Whiterangey · 02/10/2018 00:31

Tax bill bot only ever filed one set of accounts with Companies House showing she earned £96k. That was for the year ending March 2016, so that covers the UK's best FL year.

That's when she took the directors loan and never paid her tax, that directors loan is what she is now paying off at £500 a month.

I wonder what happened to all the rest of the money she has earned and whether she's declared that to HMRC.

Norma27 · 02/10/2018 06:17

Yawn’s writing isn’t very legible but she made lots of notes and learnt loads from training last night.
Usual bollocks of learning how to harass people!
Especially love part saying not to email but to just go into places. Don’t want to forewarn people and girls be them the chance to tell you to fuck off first.

How any of these people believe they are business trainers is completely beyond me,

Norma27 · 02/10/2018 06:17

*give them the chance

fitgirl26 · 02/10/2018 07:52

So Wig'nSleaze have latched onto a young homeless couple and have "put a plan in place to get them out of the situation". If they've made so much money from their Ponzibots why don't they just give them money to rent somewhere? Wig boasts in the comments that unlike other "leaders" they don't spend their money on flash cars and mansions but selflessly share their profits with those less fortunate. No Wig - you would absolutely spend your money on flash cars and mansions if you actually had any!

Spongebobette · 02/10/2018 08:50

I’m afraid that that’s exactly what has happened to her. And she’ll distance herself from you and others who are ‘neg heads’

FL accounts are available on beta.companieshouse.gov.uk
Sales down 47%

Spongebobette · 02/10/2018 09:00

Honestly, I just want to shake these bots sometimes

That ‘training’ that Yawn made notes on was basically

  • aloe bars (giving away ‘shots’
  • spend your own money on the aloe gel drinks
  • find somewhere to set up
  • don’t tell them in advance
  • get orders and contact details that way

You could easily spend 60 quid on the giveaway drinks (don’t forget you need to pay for cards and leaflets too)

BUT THAT’S ALL FINE BECAUSE YOUR UPLINE WILL PROFIT FROM YOUR CCs

Whiterangey · 02/10/2018 09:03

Accounts are available, they aren't good.

Sales down 47%
New Business owners down by 64%

Considering how much down things already were from 2016 that is really really terrible.

It fits in with what we are seeing though.

Spongebobette · 02/10/2018 09:08

Hmm one interesting nugget from Forever Living accounts is that Longbridge Manor is not owned by the company. It is owned by an investment company controlled by the owner of FL and the FL business pays 100k a year rent.
So if FL fails in the UK the property isn’t part of the company’s assets...

I've just had a look too, their profits are up though!

SassitudeandSparkle · 02/10/2018 09:10

Apologies for the double post there, it obviously won't improve the profits any further Blush Surprising that the overall profit level has improved against the drop in sales which is their main income.

DownThePan · 02/10/2018 09:16

The money brought in by FL events has also dropped significantly, although I'm still gobsmacked that over 12000 new business owners joined the company in 2017.

Spongebobette · 02/10/2018 09:23

Imagine making a profit from events that are supposed to be training and success days. Says it all really. The bots are there to be exploited.

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 02/10/2018 09:25

The company itself, Forever Living, can make a profit each year because their overheads are very very low and they sell the products at huge prices to the bots who do all the marketing and take all the risk.

If someone could collect data for profits made by the so called 'business owners' it would be a very different story.

Funny how FL don't publish the average income disclosure in the UK....

What is Messiah blathering about- listing the bank accounts that will accept bonus payments. How bizarre.

Tizzlebizzle · 02/10/2018 09:27

@SassitudeandSparkle the only reason profits are up is because they reduced their distribution and admin costs - i.e. overheads HQ can control not things dependent on business growth. They probably got rid of actual employees.

It is very interesting to look at the 3 years 15/16/17 next to each other.

New sign ups down 64% on last year which was already 52% down on 2015.

Sales has reduced from nearly £100m in 2015 to £40m in 2017.

At these rates they won't survive 2019.

Very interesting to read the opening statements too. They are nearly identical except in 2016 they company anticipated new products would attribute growth in 2017. Oops.

Also they haven't improved their recycling or health claim risks as both these were flagged last year and again this year.

Very interesting reading.

BangingOn · 02/10/2018 09:39

I also notice that they flag legislation and Health and Nutrition Claims Regulation as a risk. Clearly they know there is little to no proven benefit and that their Bots are often close to the line (or a long way over it in some cases...)

BangingOn · 02/10/2018 09:41

No dividends for the directors either...

user1484830599 · 02/10/2018 09:45

@Norma27 can you imagine if they took their 'training/business coaching' to a real company. They'd be laughed out the room.

BangingOn · 02/10/2018 10:22

Homeschoole Bot can fuck right off with her simpering breast cancer awareness/buy deodorant from me post Angry
