Exactly the way it should be trinity Smile - not everyone is that lucky though.

trinitybleu · 08/07/2015 16:26

lazy "the helpful Younique person" ... I like that. Might add it to my FB profile Grin Grin Grin

throwingpebbles · 08/07/2015 17:30

Fair enough trinity Smile I have no issue with people operating like you do x

trinitybleu · 08/07/2015 19:08

I forgot to answer 1 point about recruitment tactics - we're not encouraged to fake it til you make it and we're not allowed to talk money i.e. you could be making £x a month ... we simply sell the makeup and offer also the opportunity to make some extra cash. There's no sales targets, no pressure, no hassle. Sure, there's incentives and team competitions but it's all v light hearted and supportive. None of this Making it look like you have your dream house ... if you have bought something new with your earnings, some people share that but mainly in private team groups rather than on personal profiles etc. Mainly it's people celebrating paying off debt or buying groceries without worrying Smile

Peacheykeen · 08/07/2015 21:53

Ms.FL would like everybody to know if you fail to plan you plan to fail"

She's also happy that the Sonya bb cream is back in stock complete with a product placement selfie

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 00:54

Bot update: Argi + is amazing. it helps your heart and blood pressure and immune system muscles and bones and cholesterol. #totallytruefact

trinity hmm I'm a skeptic. I remember the same shit being spun from my Stella & Dot friend but then, it emerged over time that if she didn't make a certain number of sales per month she lost her 'downline'. That in fact was what ended up happening.

Again, if the product is so great then why can't Younique just flog it on the 'net? transparently? like other companies? why the need for "distributors" at all?

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 02:55

Ok, Younique:

the founders appear to be Mormons which fits in with what eyespy says about the role of Mormonism/Utah etc with MLMs.

Brigham Young Uni - well known Mormon uni in Utah, along with Ricks College.

oh and check out the teeny tiny print at the bottom of the page. it's very teeny tiny.

The recruitment and sales figures posted here are achieved only by approximately less than the top 0.02 % of Presenters

and this:

The final success or failure of any Younique Presenter will likely be a function of such Presenter’s individual talents and effort as well as factors outside of the Presenter’s control such as luck and macro-economic conditions. Younique makes no guarantee, promise or any representation that a Presenter will obtain success, profit or income. Becoming a Younique Presenter involves business and financial risk. It is possible that a Presenter will lose money in conjunction with participating as a Presenter.

ya think?

this is what happened to my S&D friend: (again in teeny tiny print)

ROLLING THREE MONTHS: To avoid being inactivated, each Presenter must sell at least $125 in product in the previous 3 months.

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 03:53

same bloody 'car incentive"
Younique Car Incentive
You're unique. Your car should be too!

and the usual shite about empowering women etc

founded Younique in September 2012 with a mission to uplift, empower, and validate women across the globe. Derek and Melanie firmly believe that all women should feel valued, smart, and empowered through opportunities of personal growth and financial reward!

car plan - check
run by Mormons (Eyespy's posts) - check
vague figures not in a real currency - check
need to recruit people to make more money - check

ding ding, we have an MLM folks.

lastuseraccount123 · 09/07/2015 03:56

i really want to see them stick Younique's amazing 3D products on Amazon and face the reviews of real people. Go on then. If it's so amazing do it.

throwingpebbles · 09/07/2015 04:32

Great digging lastuser

And yes, if these products are so amazing why don't the companies advertise them ?

Eyespying · 09/07/2015 07:26

lastuseraccount123 - I'm impressed by your 'Mormon MLM' BS-detecting capacity, but this, I fear, is perhaps the biggest 'Younique' red flag

youniquehaley.blogspot.fr/2014/08/foundation-coming-in-2015.html

Virtually all 'MLM' cult instigators have hidden behind claims to be 'philanthropists,' but the 'Younique' mob would appear to out to recruit the victims of sexual abuse and assault, by pretending to want to 'help' them.

'MLM' cult bosses have used their charities not only to shut down victims' critical faculties, but also to occupy more of their time and to remove more cash from them.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 07:42

I'll answer as many of these as I can ...

PRS is transparent. 1 PRS = 1 US dollar. Easy to work out.

You need to sell a minimum amount every 3 months to keep your account active, but if you go inactive there's no penalties and you just email in to ask for reactivation at any point.

Car incentive is only just been launched, but is paid as cash not a lease plan. One lady has bought a plane with hers.

I never said it wasn't a MLM - it is. But I don't think all MLM's are bad.

I don't know why they don't just sell it direct - I'd think it's more expensive in the start up phase so it's a way of getting out there with lower costs. One of the Candadian companies recently announced they were closing, waited 3 months til the presenter contracts expired and then relaunched as a direct sales company. Their presenters were furious.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 07:44

last the stuff about the top presenters and 0.02% achieving that level is honesty ... isn't that what we wish the FLbots would be?!?

Eyespying · 09/07/2015 07:50

lastuseraccount123 Plenty of people have found it strange that so many 'MLM' rackets have been instigated by 'Mormons.' However, there is a long tradition of calculating 'Mormon's' making fortunes out of crowds of unthinking dreamers.

In 1848, gold was discovered in California. Only a few people knew this, but within months the news was published all over the world and around 300 000 thousands excited prospectors flocked to California creating the famous 1849 Gold Rush. Yet the sum total value of all the gold which was subsequently extracted in the following few years was inferior to the sum total of parallel economic activity which was generated by the arrival of these prospectors. One of the key-players who originally spread the news about the gold strike, but who had previously cornered the market in mining materials and supplies for excited prospectors (at grossly-inflated prices), was Samuel Brannan, a newspaper man and soon-to-be-multi-millionaire 'Mormon.'

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Brannan

'MLM' rackets are frighteningly similar, except the only gold present is the victims' own cash. The racketeers convince bedazzled dreamers that gold is there in 'MLM' for the taking, but the would-be 'MLM millionaires' are then told that they should buy an exclusive map, along with all the exclusive mining tools, from the racketeers.

Eyespying · 09/07/2015 08:02

trinitybleu is obviously reciting a script when she keeps insisting that there's no gold in 'FLP,' but there's gold in them there 'Younique' hills.

trinitybleu · 09/07/2015 09:05

I'm not saying there's gold eye - when have I claimed that? I'm saying I'm getting my make up half price and if I sell some to others too, then great. As I said before, I'm not aiming to give up work, make millions or change my life. Of course the higher levels make more money than the bottom layers, as it is in all businesses. I can be as annoyed by the fake claims of the FLbots as anyone else, as I don't make those kind of claims.

Well now I'm confused .
No idea whether Trinity is a plant or eyespying is a conspiracy theorist.
Mor Ethan my brain can cope with this morning after a night spent awake with a vomming child!!!
Either way, according to my FL bot today you harvest what you sow and the richest people develop networks while the rest of us look for jobs.

MarthasHarbour · 09/07/2015 10:13

Can we lay off trinity please? She has politely answered questions and made no bold claims. She is a welcome contributor to this thread and the bashing is unjustified.

Peace and love and all that

MarthasHarbour · 09/07/2015 10:23

I am going to be totally honest and transparent here.

eyespying your last couple of posts to trinity are uncalled for and not in the spirit of Mumsnet or this thread. I have therefore reported the last one.

trinity is a perfectly pleasant poster who has made a valuable contribution to this thread. We called for someone 'on the inside' to give us some insight. She has provided this. And has added to the light hearted conversation on FLBots. We did not ask for people to come on to be jumped on.

You are so caught up in your obsession with this that you cannot conduct a decent conversation with anyone. Sorry but you have made me really cross.
