The British Man on YouTube talks about 'nooks and crannies', which I think refers to everyone in your widest possible aquaintance, including your milkman's grandmother.

Hence the fb posts from pp that pp haven't seen for years.

Is there an ex-fl site anywhere, like exscientology kids?

fishboneschokus · 22/07/2015 09:36

If there are 9 million bots, and a retention rate of 5 Pc over five years, how many ex flotsam are there out there?

bettyberry · 22/07/2015 09:47

My FLbot put up 5 ads last night. Convienently tagged as ads with a handful of false claims about fixing a, b and c. Screen grabbed and emailed to the relevant folks for false/Misleading advertising. Apparently it's a big problem with some of these companies esp on social media because it is harder to police. (I called and enquired before pestering them with an email)
Anyway, as he explained there's little I can do. Flagging it as spam on Facebook rarely works unless it's out in the public domain - leaflets, ads, market stalls eg - not private FB groups and parties they rarely see it but do deal with lots of complaints Confused

Anyway. What I got from it. If you see the false/misleading ads screen grab them inc the persons name. Forward them to relevant body (usually trading standards) it's the only way they can see what's going on.

Also. Bloked my FLbot with much drama! (So and so said you blocked her! Hmm) shared the ads publicly with the trading standards link and left it at that on my FB... Maybe with a massive helping of sarcasm to boot after Grin

So er yeah....

bettyberry · 22/07/2015 10:32

Also forwarded this... (i stuck the sticky plaster sticker over the town name for my own reasons) but advertising as MEDICAL ... that there is implying all kinds of crap and that is someone I know and they do not have a medical background whatsoever

Forever Living script

ressurser.foreverpro.no/uploads/6/3/7/4/6374767/flp_initialcontactscript.pdf

For a company which states its representatives must make this clear Do not be misled that high earnings are easily achieved

I'm wondering how the phrases you could make a fortune and I get paid for work I don't do which are used in the script fits with that...

Adarajames · 22/07/2015 11:49

Mary - Holland and Barrett staff at least from that list you gave, are put through quite a lot of training and knowledge learning for the job, so probably do know more than most fl pushers (and no I don't work for them but a friend used to).

I've come across a number of the fl pushers at craft fairs (since when was it a craft?! Or maybe that refers to the endless relativity used in their miraculous 'claims'?!?), couldn't believe the prices, and the amount of chemical shite in the prosucts, would've wxpwcted it to be organic, chemical free and ethically produces for that price! A rip off for both costumes and the poor saps who get dragged into the fraud hoping they'll improve their lifestyle with all that extra, ( and in reality, non-existent!) money they'll make

Adarajames · 22/07/2015 11:51

*creativity not relativity! Damned autocorrect!

MarthasHarbour · 22/07/2015 12:37

Urgh that script is dreadful. If that was my friend badgering me (and i am expecting one any day from what i have heard on the grapevine!) i would be off like a shot!

I saw my CrapFLBot at it again on FB last night. Targeting someone vulnerable who is struggling at the mo, she has badgered them to come to her presentation and join the business and the response from the future Bot was 'ah thanks hun you are good to me'

It made me shudder Sad

MarthasHarbour · 22/07/2015 12:47

Does anyone have any idea what the hashtag #ad is all about? Is it clickbait?? Hmm

MaryLennox84 · 22/07/2015 12:57

Hashtag #ad means you have to disclose if you are being paid to promote. I do this with my blog when companies pay me to tweet about their products....it is a legal thing to cover your ass.

This is the last post I will make. I feel like people are upset that you can't make a huge living without any effort or something. Like "Oh, it takes investment and lots of time to earn a six figure income with Forever." Well, duh, it takes that for ANY start up business.

MaryLennox84 · 22/07/2015 12:58

Also, are people at Boots trained in supplements, etc.? How about The Body Shop, since a lot of what we sell is shampoo and make-up, etc.?

BromleyGal · 22/07/2015 13:10

What product training did/do you receive Mary?

Peacheykeen · 22/07/2015 13:10

Is it in the rulebook that they all have to call each other "hun" . It's so annoying

BromleyGal · 22/07/2015 13:14

....apparently "all you need is wifi and a dream".

Hmm
Runningupthathill82 · 22/07/2015 13:27

My FL bot has suddenly stopped posting. Daily, often twice daily posts, with photos of aloe goo on her kitchen table, laptop in the garden, photoshopped Clean 9 "results"...now nothing. For two weeks.

I really hope she's packed it in and will reveal why...

fishboneschokus · 22/07/2015 13:39

I'm not on fb. Do you link to this thread(s) to yr flotsam and to trading standards?

lazycoo · 22/07/2015 14:10

mary I am not upset that you can't make a huge living without any effort or something - having been in employment for the last 19 years, I've had some time to get used to the idea that there's no such thing as a free lunch. It's the precise opposite that I'm upset about - these unfounded promised of wild riches without much effort being made to vulnerable people, but you seem determined not to understand what we are saying. Anyway, good luck with it all, I suspect you'll need it.

LilyAlpha · 22/07/2015 14:25

Lazycoo, that's what I was thinking. Ppl here have made it so clear what the general gripe is, repeatedly & somehow Mary keeps missing the point!!

Well duh, it's the fact that FL misleads ppl into believing it's sonething its not. The fact they target mums whi'd like to work around kids, from home, giving the impression, this is easily done. . The fact that despite masses of hard work & effort, 95% of the time there is no real profit to be made. Which part of that can u not comprehend?

LilyAlpha · 22/07/2015 14:51

The ability to "Live the dream", "retire early", "leave behind a legacy", "to be healthy, wealthy & happy"...these are just some of the grandiose claims made by FL, yes FL itself...not just a few 'bad apples'. Any doubts on this, go take a look @ 'official' FL presentations. Choose any1 of those awful, scripted videos...u know the 1's featuring jet planes, sandy beaches & "HUUGE" houses?? *rolls eyes Tell me what U see!

Usually when such fantastical claims are being triumphantly trumpeted from all corners of the globe, u would expect some evidence & 'backative' to warrant that level of boisterousness. Far more people have become millionaires from banking, I'm sure, but I don't see/hear them gallavanting about the place like demented pied pipers, displaying their possessions (or in majority of FLbots' case, flashing possessions they don't possess),telling ppl to 'join them', 'live the dream' etc & @ least they would have more grounds to do so...

So now my question is, how many in no's or % of Flr's that embark on this venture go on to 'live the dream'; 'retire early' & 'leave behind a legacy'?? The very ideals proclaimed to be possible with FL, by FL.
Now what's your definition of 'misleading'?

fishboneschokus · 22/07/2015 15:14

Lily
That's what I'd like to know.

lazycoo · 22/07/2015 15:15

I suspect mary was FLHQ popping in to say hi and do some damage limitation. 'I'm not getting on that well with it, it's perhaps not for me, but they're a really great bunch, honest!' Hmm She didn't seem like any PhD student I'd ever heard before.

lastuseraccount123 · 22/07/2015 15:30

Lily I would like to know that too.

FLbot update: my bot is giving yet another presentation at a bar in another city. Gotta admit she is working hard.

lastuseraccount123 · 22/07/2015 15:31

still can't upload the pic of Rex Maughan (owner and founder of FL) implying FL products have miraculous effects on health. Dang.

MaryLennox84 · 22/07/2015 15:44

Too bad, since I am actually a PhD student with two MA degrees. But also an idiot, clearly.

I did a bit of online training on the products, but I am more on the make-up/beauty side anyway.

fishboneschokus · 22/07/2015 15:50

Could anyone link to free online training?
