Lily, the top guys will still have to recruit as the retention rate downstream must be teeny tiny.

LilyAlpha · 21/07/2015 15:56

Yes very true. Forgot about that!

BromleyGal · 21/07/2015 16:01

Lily, that's awful. Reminds me of when a family member was diagnosed with terminal cancer. A 'friend' got in touch, urging me to tell them about a water purifying system which would save their lives. I politely told them to feck off, but they definitely held it against me (and probably blamed me for the subsequent death of someone I loved very much). Actually, I have held it against them too - totally inappropriate imo.

lastuseraccount123 · 21/07/2015 16:02

Mary I clicked on that link for the FL terms that you posted: gallery.foreverliving.com/gallery/FLP/download/Marketing/Co_Policy_Eng_NDP_NAmerica_Feb10.pdf

but it's for north America (Canada & US). You can clearly see that at the bottom where it says this:

FLP Policy (NDP) English for North America Revision 2010.02.23

Do you have this for the UK?

Also, do you know if there's a complaint line people in the UK can call if someone is misrepresenting FL products? Thanks so much!

BromleyGal · 21/07/2015 16:04

Betty, sounds like your FLbot is embracing the lessons that the UK #1 guru extols...from her Facebook page:

  1. When a new distributor joins, I get them to announce it on Facebook! I have them text me the day they get their 'Business Box' to announce their business formally and to plan the official launch of their business! I tell them, "When you get your kit, take a cool picture of you with it. If you have kids or a family, make it fun and do it together!” You can say something that creates intrigue such as “Mummy has got a brand new business! Check it out here (link)”! When people “like” the post, or “comment” on it, you know they see it! Message them in their inbox and say “thank you for supporting my business! I saw you comment on my post, and it meant the world to me. Do you have some time that I could share more with you? I’m looking to expand my business and would love your ideas, support, and referrals! What’s a good time and number to reach you? I’ll announce them on my page a few days following, using the same picture!

i've been trying to find a FL UK website for the company, as opposed to a distributor, but it's hard. Can't find any way to complain either.

lastuseraccount123 · 21/07/2015 16:11

so so far it's been implied that:

FL Aloe lead to some guy's cancer going into remission
FL lead to a lady's arthritis going into remission
FL cured a kid's exczema

and royal jelly fixes basically everything.

Bromley, totally inappropriate AND downright rude imo. Seizing opportunities like that, to sell wares. Shame, alone would prevent me from even thinking about stopping so low *blood boils. Rant over lol

& u just posted verbatim what I saw on my fb when she begiun this nonsense *shock horror

lastuseraccount123 · 21/07/2015 16:18

Plan yes Arbonne is the same.

BromleyGal · 21/07/2015 16:21

lastuser - try this www.foreverliving.com/marketing/WorldLocations.do?uid=40

BromleyGal · 21/07/2015 16:23

Lily, yep just remembering it has made my blood boil again!! Angry

Anyhow, it's good to know that Forever Living products cure stage 4 cancer and arthritis....you know, just in case I, or any of my loved ones, suffer in the future.

xenu1 · 21/07/2015 16:24

wrt lastuseacct123s cancer ad (well spotted!) this should be illegal under the cancer act of 1939 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancer_Act_1939 but I'm sure the ad is cleverly worded, grrr

wheelycote · 21/07/2015 16:25

No idea what FL is...but it sounds controversial!! Is it forever living going to googe it

xenu1 · 21/07/2015 16:26

sorry to double-post. In fact the aloe gel "neutralises his body" (!). Like a scifi raygun perhaps? (I'm spending too long on this thread :))

TalcumMucker · 21/07/2015 16:26

Neutralise his body?! What the heck does that even mean?!

At least she mentioned that he changed his diet and had chemo too. But of course it would be the Aloe Vera that cured his cancer, medical research just hasn't caught up with FL yet...

LilyAlpha · 21/07/2015 16:28

Lastuser, would love to know the FL complaints no. * rubs hands & does evil villain laugh , but I doubt they have one lol. A bit like Google, everywhere but strangely evasive when it comes to contact

LilyAlpha · 21/07/2015 16:33

Wheely, yes Forever Living

lastuseraccount123 · 21/07/2015 16:40

apparently Royal Jelly makes you more fertile too.

LilyAlpha · 21/07/2015 17:13

Sooo....out of curiousity I called no. Selected compliance option & spoke to rep called "Gemma". Was told to make a complaint re. Misselling & making false representations, I should email with any evidence & screenshots of offending material to wait for itdrum roll: [email protected]. In other words, put something in writing, where it might warrant a cursory glance & then be confined to the admin's inbox's trash bin Grin

bettyberry · 21/07/2015 17:14

Xenu1 I don't think its a raygun, thats a bit too start trek for FLbots. its much more likely to be fairy dust, cosmic rays and unicorn butt rainbows.

bettyberry · 21/07/2015 17:17

LilyAlpha - make a complaint via BBC watchdog or other such companies. It would make great TV not to mention your local trading standards. These 'businesses' still come under them.
