I think the sensible way to do it is that each person sends their book to the same person every month to avoind confusion ie:

Autumnlady to Dozymare, Dozymare to DrsWife etc etc

We could do this on a certain day every month such as the 30th or something? I am open to offers on how fast people read etc.

Hurrah - well done Autumnlady!!!!! Now, how do we go about choosing books? Does it matter if they have been read or do we agree in advance???? what happens if you have read a book?? (Incidentally I have no idea as by the time I see other book swops I am to late to join!!)

I think that when we know who is in our book club we all post up here what book it is we are reading so that if anyone has read it they can say straightaway before it is sent to them. I'm not sure either but we can make up our own rules!

ohh im excited, glad someone else knows what their doing. will we then discuss these books then? wonder how long we can keep it up for after November! I read pretty quick but thats okay cos I'm happy to wait for others.i think its fab x

Silly question - its not just pregnancy books is it?!?

Ok I'm here. I finished a book the other night so I'm ready to go! 'the Mysterious flame of Queen Loana by Umberto Eco. Is that the sort of thing you are after? We should prolly wait a day til we are all gathered, d'you think?

I've got the VBAC handbook but I want to hang onto it. I'm reading Ina May's guide to childbirth at the mo, but it may take a while..
Will check in later have to take LO to a paddling pool party.

Am I the only one who is jealous at Pinkyminky's little one getting to go to a padling pool party???

I think (IMO) we could all do with a break for the moment from baby books and get some fiction! Pinky - that sounds ace to me as never rea any books by Eco.

DrsWife - I'm sure we will have discussions along the way.

I am really keen to get this going as off on holiday on 23rd May for 2 wks and need a good book to take with me! Will wait until tomorrow eve for any more takers but here's the updated list:

Me too, Me too! Can I join?
I don't know how fast I will be able to read it, can't really read for long at the mo, but am geting better. MS is a bit like travel sickness and I can't read whilst I travel, but I am getting better, I am sure I will keep up.
I only hope no-one sends me anything too serious, I am a rather bad for my lighthearted nonsense. Escapism, pure escapism!

I have just got a new book - Forget me not by Isabel Wolff, never read anything by her before but it looks quite girly. I like most things to be honest and a always willing to give it a try!!

ooohhh - look at our book club growing...just like our tummies

I have just finished reading the "Madness of a seduced woman" - took me about 3 chapters to get into it but then could not put it down.......very very good IMO!

(Warning in advance, my books are not in pristine condition as tend to read in the bath so get a bit water splashed) BUT obviously won't read any of your books in the bath!!!!!!

Blimey, if that is the idea, I will never read the book. The bath is my reading time!
I spend far too long in there as a consequence!!

To be honest, mine don't get too bad. I mainly read library books so they don't come to too much damage, I would be too embarrassed to give it back otherwise.
