Hiya

The following people want in:

Autumnlady
Dozymare
TheDrsWife
Bubbaz
Yorky
PinkyMinky

Any more for any more???

I think the sensible way to do it is that each person sends their book to the same person every month to avoind confusion ie:

Autumnlady to Dozymare, Dozymare to DrsWife etc etc

We could do this on a certain day every month such as the 30th or something? I am open to offers on how fast people read etc.

Let me know what you think
xx

Hi all - sorry for the delay. I just e-mailed my details to DM so let me know if you got them!

I'll let you know which book I pick later!

Yorky · 14/05/2008 11:19

I've found you.
Hello to everyone else who reads in the bath - when I was pg with DS DH decided my only craving was for Lush bubble bath - the one that smells like parma violets!
Have emailed you DM, sorry it took so long

Right, I have decided, you are getting one of Katie Ffordes cos I love them they are such a lovely read.
I have been able to find Going Dutch today at Tesco so, who's getting it first?
I really wanted to send out The Butterfly Box by Santa Montefiorde but seem to have lost my copy (last ditch look at my mums tomorrow though, so it may be that one yet!) Then was gonna send The Forget-Me-Not Sonata (same author), which I read a long time ago but when I looked on Amazon the revues were awful so I thought I had better not subject you all to it. I don't remember thinking it was all that bad, but then, to be stuck so on wanting to send The Butterfly Box, I must have felt it was better.
Anyway, ramble over and you are no clearer as to what I am sending

Tomorrow is sending day, I hope we get all the addresses in time! Can't believe I am part of a reading group, DH is happy for me and not in the least surprised
Not that I am easily excited or anything, but I am soo excited to get started!

dozymare · 14/05/2008 21:18

lacksadaisy I am soooooooo sorry!!!!! Please forgive me?!! Have you sent me your details?!

(DM is getting very confused and wonders if she is the best person for the job or if we would all be so hormonal and confused??!!)

Yorky · 14/05/2008 21:19

Be as hormonal as you like Daisy - find dozymares address on a thread somewhere - think its on the chatty one, and post something to someone!

Yorky · 14/05/2008 21:20

Ooops, cross posting - hormones R us! I love being able to blame things on baby brain!

YAY ....sniffles into snotty hanky and wipes grotty tear stained face.

Is it sender's choice then? or is there a theme?

dozymare · 14/05/2008 21:39

the only rule is NO PREGNANCY BOOKS!!!!!

YOu basically pass on any book you have really enjoyed - condition doesn't matter as my bath splashed, page curled pages will testify!!!

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 21:39

and do the books have to be new?...or do we send something we have read and loved, and then pass that book on to the next person?

I've had a quick scan of the thread, but can't see any firm rules.......so sorry for the questions.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 21:41

cross post, LOL

dozymare · 14/05/2008 21:43

I like crossed posts!!! Not had the pleasure yet, but please tell me more!

lackaDAISYcal · 14/05/2008 22:24

very funny, witty and ascerbic scottish writer...crime based black comedies. In one of his books he actually managed to make me PMSL decsribing someone being chased and then fighting with a chainsaw weilding maniac. Very dark, but very, very funny........and he's the same age as me

bubbaz · 15/05/2008 08:56

Ooh i'm excited I have just noticed that as we are slightly larger now we will all ost definately have had our babies by the time this is finished - Scary thought!

Daniya · 15/05/2008 12:09

OK - scouting my brain to think of a good book. Should we forewarn of the book on its way to make sure the receipient hasn't read it??

Just realised I don't want to be spending my whole lunch hour stuck at the post office so might try and send my books through the company post! Sneaky!!
