Hi All,

I've started a new thread as the other was at page 39.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm still just about in my fertile window - I got my LH surge yesterday.

The clocks going forward has hot me a little bit, but I'm looking forward to brighter evenings.

@VillageFete Great news!

VillageFete · 13/04/2023 20:07

@Chocolatebean This time i’m on Prednisolone steroids, Aspirin and Clexane (Blood thinner) An immune protocol basically for an overactive immune system.

I’ll start weaning off after a heartbeat is seen.

Because I did a modified natural transfer (Triggered my own ovulation and they put the embryo back 7 days later) I’m obviously producing my own Progesterone, but i’m also supplementing with 1 Prolutex injection per day. X

VillageFete · 13/04/2023 20:09

Oh, i’m also having Intralipids (1 the week before transfer, 1 today, 1 in 3 more weeks - all being well)

This is because my clinic in Cyprus did an NK cell blood test which showed an overactive immune system where your body can potentially attack an embryo. The steroids and Intralipids dampen this down until the placenta starts to take over x

fleur89 · 13/04/2023 20:09

@Ttc2023x @Chocolatebean interesting you both experienced the same, did it progress into a full blown period bleed or was the brown spotting all you got that month?

It's lovely hearing about future successes in this group, really reassuring. Sending baby wishes to you all 💗

Ttc2023x · 13/04/2023 20:18

The first one following the mc was mainly brown spotting, i went to see GP & they said normal. My 2nd period was still more spotting so i rang EPU as due to recurrent miscarriage i can have access to their support too & they said still normal as lining takes a little while to build back up ( i had a d&c) fast forward cycle 3 & it was more like the periods id had before anything.

Also loving the positive updates - fills me with hope!

SMG1992 · 13/04/2023 21:15

@fleur89 my first period after mc was like that too, I wasn’t sure if it was definitely a period or potentially implantation at first
i think it’s just your body and hormones getting back to normal
its a tough time mentally and physically so I hope you are doing well and taking care x

@VillageFete thanks so much I hope you didn’t mind me asking it’s just really amazing what they can do 😀😀😀.
@fleur89 i had pain then brown spotting for about 4 days then a day of small amount of red blood and that was it. I didn’t have a d and c just the misoprostol xxx

Chocolatebean · 13/04/2023 21:42

@fleur89 I actually had a small but of retained tissue and it took 2 periods to get rid of that. So it just shows how it takes a while to get a totally fresh womb lining ( for Me anyway 🤪) xxx

VillageFete · 13/04/2023 21:56

@Chocolatebean Ask me anything love! Xx

Chocolatebean · 13/04/2023 22:19

@VillageFete youre just lovely 😊

fleur89 · 14/04/2023 13:04

Thank you all for your replies regarding your first period post MC / MMC. I had medical management (pills) literally a month ago today so this could well be my first period. I had two mornings of light brown spotting which coincided with cramping, today the cramping and spotting have disappeared.

I have been testing hcg since 3 weeks as the doctors told me to make sure I'm negative. I've been seeing a really faint line on cheapies and that's not changed so expect either there's a small amount of retained product or it's still in the process of fading. Just now I took a CB and CB digital and they read pregnant 1-2 weeks, I'm pretty sure it's the mc though so they're unreliable... although it's been 4.5 weeks.

Weirdly my bbt has risen since experiencing the spotting but I understand that can be unreliable - I work out a lot but incorporated sprint intervals these past few days, cardio increases bbt.

Eugh I'm so impatient but I know I just need to wait it out.

Pictures and charts for reference

Symptoms past 3 days:

Wednesday- nausea on waking, brown spotting when wiping in AM only, cramping (sharp pains and low aches).
Bbt 36.6, low lh, faint positive cheapie

Thursday - nausea on waking, brown spotting when wiping in AM only, cramping (low aches).
Bbt 36.8, low lh, faint positive cheapie

Friday (today) - nausea on waking, no spotting (dry / very small amount of white creamy cm), very minor dull aches low down (to the extent I'm almost questioning if they're there).
Bbt 36.9, low lh, faint positive cheapie, faint positive CB, 1-2 weeks CB digital

fleur89 · 14/04/2023 13:17

Oh and last night I passed out at 8.30pm on the sofa and had night sweats overnight. Had these when pregnant last time plus after the MC and postpartum with my daughter.

I'm clutching at straws, I know. I just want to get back on track and ttc again 🙈

SMG1992 · 14/04/2023 13:23

@fleur89 I know that there is a chance of conceiving again straight after MC without a period but I think the best thing would be to give it a week and see if your tests progress. Everyone is so different after MC even Drs probably couldn't tell you what is going on.
I still had positive tests 4 weeks later so it does also depend how far along you were.

I know it's so rubbish as you just want your body to bounce back to normal, but it's just a reminder that you've been through a lot and to look after yourself x

@SMG1992 you're so right, I need to stop overanalysing - it's so hard though 🤣
I had medical management at 10+2 but the baby stopped developing before 6 weeks. Since my body didn't react I expect hcg would have been high.

Ttc2023x · 14/04/2023 16:16

Bless you, its awful! Been there & totally understand, everything is so intense & we become so intune with our bodies. The night sweats i think are hormones dropping / changing so i think it will be a waiting game & test again in a week then ring the docs if still seeing a line as they may do blood test to confirm anything. Time feels like its racing by but 4 months on from my last MC i feel in a more settled, hopeful position so there is light at the end of the tunnel its just so.so.hard to feel it at the time. Everything crossed things work out for all ladies on here x

SMG1992 · 14/04/2023 16:46

@fleur89 It is so hard - let me know if you find a way to stop overanalysing... I am exactly the same
I agree with @Ttc2023x we become very in tune with our bodies. If you are still showing positive have you called Drs or EPU to get a scan done?

OP posts:
Hankthehonk · 14/04/2023 17:52

@fleur89 it's not impossible you could have ovulated since the mc and be pregnant, but the hcg levels and bleeding/spotting must make it so confusing. I guess the only answer will come from whether hcg tests progress.

fleur89 · 15/04/2023 11:16

Thank you for your replies and support 💗 I tried contacting EPU earlier this week but couldn't get through to the right people due to the strikes, I'll call them again on Monday and push for bloods and/or a scan.

I'm mindful that hcg levels peak at 10 weeks and that's when I had medical management so I guess that's probably why it's still showing as positive. What's confusing me is the cramping and spotting I had 2 days before my period would have been due, and the constant rise in bbt since then. I'm 36.9 again today.

Morning, how’s everyone doing?

I was just wondering what methods people use to track ovulation?

TheBirdintheCave · 17/04/2023 08:35

@Nmvasey85 I check my BBT in the morning, monitor my CM and use OPKs.

Chocolatebean · 17/04/2023 08:59

Definitely opks for me and when I get to the point I know ovulation is soon I use the clear blue smiley face one as well and they have always tied in with the opks xxx also the cervical mucus as soon I get that a good few days before ovulation x

fleur89 · 17/04/2023 09:59

Morning all! Quick update from me, I passed a large clot this morning and have been spotting brown blood since.

Hoping that's it but tried to call EPU for a scan as am worried about infection. Annoyingly I couldn't get through to anyone again, I left a message and sent 3 emails but they're overrun due to the strikes last week.

My bbt is rising day by day and I'm feeling nauseous and lethargic, all signs of infection complication which can be very serious. If they don't call me back today I'll literally walk in tomorrow morning.

YearoftheRabbit23 · 17/04/2023 10:28

Hi ladies, how are you all?

As suspected, I got my BFP this afternoon, I'm on cycle day 35 and was away on holiday so saved testing till we got back. My breasts have been feeling full for a couple of weeks. Some lower back pain but potentially also due to lifting my heavy toddler lots during the hols.

I'm so nervous now. Last time I had a blighted ovum and I'm positive it's because I caught COVID, so I'm going to be super careful about masking etc. We're traveling for 6 weeks to visit family for what will be weeks 9-15 which makes me nervous about missing the 12 week scan, I'll try and do a NIPT test while away though.

But I'm getting ahead of myself! Will book a scan around 6-7 weeks to check for a heartbeat first. 🤞

TheBirdintheCave · 17/04/2023 11:00

@YearoftheRabbit23 Congratulations! And what a great way to delay testing by being on holiday :D Hope you had a fabulous time!
