Pregnancy after D&C

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering when any of you lovely ladies got caught pregnant after your D and C? I had mine back in May and I’ve had 1 period so far, I’m due on this Wednesday (10th July) I’m really hoping I don’t but I’m getting all the signs that I will.

I can’t bare to see another negative test and would love to hear some positive ones!

@SunStruck oh my days I'm actually lol at that 😂😂!! I can imagine the sonographer as you hop off the bed all cool like "nah don't worry doll I'm away for a party solo style" ....that'll be 2 of us locked away haha! Oh I do hope it goes well though and it's only me partying!! I think I'm going to have to discard this test or I'll be spending my Saturday staring at it and test again Monday 🙈!! Please let us know how you get on tomorrow and I'll be thinking of you Hun. And also thanks to both of for putting up with me lol xxx

@Elles1980 well it's seems like I have to put the crack off for a bit longer, my hcg level today was 728 so the planned crack session would have to wait 🤣 it has more than doubled every 48h which is a good rise, and I'm due in for a scan on Tuesday to look for a sac. Nervous now!

@VenusStarr thank you :) it will be too early to see anything but a small sac but the dr just wants to see the pregnancy is in the right place. So fingers crossed! How are you today? Xx

Hey @SunStruck I'm OK. Got my date for my operation, it's not until December! I'm gutted, but I'm on the cancellation list so 🤞 I might get in sooner. I feel a bit numb about everything because that means we can't ttc until pretty much the new year. If my cycle is back to normal we might be able to ttc around Christmas time. I need to be healthier and fitter so going to try and use this time productively rather than wallow. Been for a swim again today now af has buggered off.
How are you feeling? Wishing you well for tomorrow, I know you might not see much but hope what you do see is good news :)

Sorry ladies lol, I actually had a wee cry. I don't know how much longer I can do it, I'm nearly 40, also focusing on getting fitter and healthier and all the shite but girls I'm gonna be honest, there are some right Obese rancid Jeremy Kyle wanna be bastards where I live and there all up the duff and posting on there Facebook's about how the baby's dad's a twat and blah blah, I mean I'm not a judgy type coz I'm common as muck but gimme a break lol!! I'm sure I'll feel better in a few years or so 😂😂😂!! Phew that felt kinda good!

@SunStruck so long as you a dot, your seeing something and that's wonderful ❤️, I just tried to convince myself that I don't even wanna be pregnant coz I'm too scared because the bad MC in may actually made me die but then I was like... I wanna see a fucking baby 😂😂!! Told the oh if his sperm don't man up I'll be finding a younger model 😂😂😂, good job he knows I'm just a fruit loop! Well girls I hope my delightful message has made you both feel warm and cozy haha, I'm going to sit by the window with a slingshot and shoot random passers by to sooth my pain, and also because I'm just cruel 😂🙂!!

I know exactly what you mean about trying to tell yourself that you don't want this that badly, but we do. We have to keep believing this will happen for us ❤️ 🤞 we deserve it 😊

I'm wondering if I should also make the appointment for the hysteroscopy now just to rule anything else out, I know the bleeding had stopped but what if there's something 🤷🏻‍♀️? I dunno! Generally at this time its teenagers or old people walking there dogs but I'm not fussy and it's dark so they can't pin it on me haha! Weirdly IV just been loo and the bleeding has stopped, it's like a crazy mindgame lol! In bed and going to numb the brain with Netflix 😂! Night night Hun xxx

I think hysteroscopy are also used to check for scarring etc after miscarriage, so might be worth asking.

@VenusStarr I'm sorry to hear you have to wait, but i think it's actually good because you're going to have a successful pregnancy next time doing all of this! Try enjoy the next few months without the pressure of TTC and 2020 will be your and @Elles1980 year for sure 😄😄

That's the only thing keeping me going @SunStruck, the delay is for a good reason. Just want to be as healthy as possible. I told dh I'm struggling with having to put it all on hold and he said it isn't that long 🙄 in reality, I know it's not but in ttc land its bloody ages!! But, am looking forward to not having to pee on sticks and the roller-coaster of hope.

@VenusStarr I know everything with TTC takes bloody ages!!! I feel for you. I have to admit I did enjoy the down time a bit when we couldn't try (I had retained products after d&c), I ate and drank everything in sight 🤣 and made the most of dates just DH and me as that will change when you have a little one. Enjoy Christmas this year, I'm sure next one will be very different!

I just had my scan - good news is that the sac is in the right place (not ectopic), worse news is that it's measuring 1 week behind (we know our dates because I've been scanned). I had suspected I might measure behind though as my pregnancy tests were super faint until 19 DPO, and my hcg level rose super slowly at first. So hopefully this little bean will be able to catch up! Realistically it could go either way, just have to wait.

Next scan is next Thursday. You never catch a break do you, no matter of if it is TTC or when you've managed to get pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️ same waiting game and worry!

Us ladies deserve a medal for going through all of this, I swear!

A medal.... I want a fucking MBE after this 😂😂!! So true that a day in the life of TTC is like a week, it's mental! Passers by survived.... Well there's been nothing on the news haha! Been to a gym class my friend runs this morning called one fit mumma (oh the irony) and there's loads of newborns there and I managed to wangle holding one.... I'm sure my ovaries exploded 😂😂!! Then I messaged oh to say I'd only lost half a pound at fat club, after eating Brussel sprout soup all week (that shit takes dedication) so I was fuming lol! So we went for a run (that shit also takes dedication) for an hour. Now I look like a Ribena berry but I'm to exhausted to give a shit how much weight IV lost this week or that I have my wanky period!! I'd also very much like to add that I don't use many profanities especially online but I'm letting it all out this is a safe place lol! Aww ladies,

Evening ladies! Well today I don't feel so volatile 😂! Went for a nice long run this morning, got caught in a monsoon. Caught up on the walking dead (I'm a bit of a geek), went to school (work not learning lol) did the kids clubs after and now I'm all relaxed in bed and thinking it's not so bad after all.....now I feel bad for all the people I shot (jokes I never actually did that....only because I don't have a slingshot or actually any aim either 🙄😂)! I hope your both well, and thanks again this little chat keeps me sane (haha after reading back I think "are you sane though Elle 🤔😂?"! Xx

@VenusStarr I should have been 5+4 when we did the scan, but measuring 4+2 (just sac seen). Dr said could go either way, either catch up or miscarriage so we will see. How are you doing? X

@Elles1980 Good to hear you're in a better mindset! Yeah keeping busy and stuff is the only thing we can do to not overthink it ay....

I'm holding hope for you @SunStruck, at this early stage they're so tiny that it's probably easy to not get the correct measurements.
I'm not having a great week, just can't seem to get out of first gear. I was really tired and flat yesterday. I know I will be OK eventually and just have to keep going. I'm trying to accept that I'm going to be slower for a while xx

Thank you @VenusStarr , I'm also hoping! No pains or spotting for now so I'm just getting on with it. Going out for a brunch with a friend to take my mind off things. I'll have to tell her I'm pregnant though as she'd definitely know when I say no to Prosecco! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just feel like hiding under a rock for 12 weeks before I get the all clear, but I know I can't as I'll slowly go mental at home, googling everything and think the worst 🙄 she knows I've had a miscarriage though and I'd tell her if it happened again so I figured it doesn't matter.

Allow yourself to be slower for a while, body and mind have taken a toll. Not long now until the new year xxx

Good news - I managed to get a cancellation for the recurrent miscarriage clinic! It's next Wednesday afternoon, so happy to have brought this forward 😊 I've been swimming lots these last few weeks and that's definitely helping me too.

So I'm exercising my ass off but it's fertile time coming up, I'm getting highs on my clear blue fertility monitor, waiting for the elusive peak.... Then it all starts again the symptom spotting and all that jazz 🤗😂🤦🏻‍♀️! Induce me in a coma and wake me up when IV given birth already haha!! It's my oh birthday Thursday and he'll be 42 so we're off out with a big old group of friends and the kids for a nice meal (neither of us drink lol boring I know 😂)!
