Pregnancy after D&C

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering when any of you lovely ladies got caught pregnant after your D and C? I had mine back in May and I’ve had 1 period so far, I’m due on this Wednesday (10th July) I’m really hoping I don’t but I’m getting all the signs that I will.

I can’t bare to see another negative test and would love to hear some positive ones!

Oh @Elles1980 I'm sorry your appointment was disappointing and that you had a chemical pregnancy confirmed 💔 life is being very cruel to us both.

No date for my hysteroscopy yet, was very disappointed with the postman today! We're not on a sex ban but using condoms, we've actually only dtd once since the mc but I got the giggles with the condoms (I promise I'm mature enough to be a mum!). Could you guys use them, you could be waiting a while for the hysteroscopy date... Are you having it under local or general? I had one booked under local for August this year but got my bfp the week before. I've just dug out my old letter and it was sent 3 days after my appointment but was 3 months wait. That's a long time to be on a sex ban!

Have to be honest I'm not doing very well about not thinking about it. The GP has signed me off for another 2 weeks so I'm going to make an effort to look after myself a bit better, going to yoga this week and going to try a swim this week. Wish me luck!

@VenusStarr haha at condoms 😂🤭!! My doc said about 3 weeks for my appointment? That's at derriford in Plymouth. Oh doesn't want to do anything because just walking up the stairs makes me bleed so he's said no way not a chance lol! I'm a total chicken so I'm not going sleep I'd rather be a little uncomfortable and awake (total glutten for punishment me). IV decided to start my personal training course IV been putting off since may, hopefully that will take my mind off of it all and I'll get back keeping busy. IV actually out on 2 stone since may 😱! And I'm a fitness instructor and pe teacher!! IV just stuffed may face so much I feel like utter poop so I need to get a grip of myself as it's taking over every aspect for now. But I shall remain positive (try anyways). I keep getting tearful and emotional but feel there's other people with way worse troubles than me so I'm lucky really! So lovely to have this particular thread where we gotten to know each other so well and support each other ❤️! Thank you xxx

@Elles1980 @VenusStarr hi lovely's, all fine here thank you! I'm 5 DPO currently. I'm not very hopeful about this cycle as we only dtd about once on ovulation day (and nothing leading up to it as ovulation happened sooo quickly - from 0 (low fertility) in OH test to solid smiley in 1 day, and I ovulated the same day! (Confirmed by scan same day). So DH's sperm was "old" (sorry TMI!!). We've been really busy and not dtd'd for 2 weeks 🙄 and he hasn't done anything on his own either, so... 2 weeks old sperm surely all dead? 😳 at least my cycles are back to normal so I'm feeling positive to hopefully catch before the end of the year. My due date is 18 December 😔

@Elles1980 I am so sorry to hear about the chemical 😢 are you just going to go back to trying next cycle? Where are you at in your cycle now? Self-care sounds good, I'm also on a health mission! Seeing a PT 3 times a week and cardio 2 times myself. And if we lose some weight while getting healthier it's a bonus 😄

@VenusStarr amazing you'll get help! Haha about condoms... my DH would just say sod it, let's leave it for 3 months 🤣🤣🤣 at least it takes you back to your younger years?! Haha. Just take care of yourself and have fun until you need to go at it again, and eat aaaaalll the food and drink all the wine you can't do later! Xxx

@SunStruck how you feeling? My due date was December 25th so was hoping to be pregnant again before then also! Somehow IV managed to convince oh to just try this month, like you though I went from low yesterday to peak today on my cbfm and usually first peak day it says estrogen rise, looking for lh surge. But today it's missed that and said lh surge detected, so we may have missed out also! I rejoined SW this week and actually cried 😂🤦🏻‍♀️! IV out in 2 stone this year....3 😱! So I'm back to being good hopefully the lbs will come off and we'll get pregnant 🥰! Hope you ladies are good ❤️ xxx

@Elles1980 unfortunately out this cycle, I tested today at 10 DPO with FRER and was a BFN 😢 I wasn't hopeful anyway as We didn't have sex on days leading up to ovulation as surge came so quickly.

Let's hope we will get our BFP:s before our due dates 🤞

Hey @Elles1980 @SunStruck I'm sorry I've not been in touch, I'm not on a great headspace at the moment. I'm not sure if it's my hormones crashing (it's been 2 weeks) but I can't stop crying, I feel awful. Dh is also struggling, I think he could kind of get his head round the first mc but to have another one almost exactly the same is really hard. I got through the last one by ttc but we can't do that. Feeling very helpless 💔 sorry both. Hope you're both doing OK xx

@VenusStarr I'm so sorry 😢 it's so difficult I know, but you're getting help now right? So next time you TTC will be different xxx just hang in there and look after each other. It's not fair and it's so sad, but you are being taken seriously now so I am certain it will be different next time x

Thank you @SunStruck. I called the rmc today as we've heard nothing, our referral was received, just waiting for it to be signed off and should have a letter by the end of the week. I think it's partly not having a deadline, so no appointments, no hope that something will happen, just time ticking on endlessly waiting for something to happen. I'm keeping busy but it's just masking how I feel, it's not making me feel better, just occupying my mind for a bit. Honestly, sleep is the best thing, I feel disappointed when I have to wake up and face the day.

@VenusStarr all good thanks, waiting for AF to show up. I just know I'm not pregnant this month, I tested 10 DPO and nothing. But my LP longer than last month I think because I'm on progesterone pessaries during my TWW, and I have 4 pessaries left so I guess AF won't show up until after I've used these? I have no clue!

Fingers crossed for a referral real soon 🤞the waiting is a pain, EVERYTHING with TTC is just so long!

I'm speechless, I got my BFP this morning... it was negative 2 days ago at 10 DPO! I can't believe it 🤯 I don't know whether to be happy or not after what happened last time! I mean obviously happy but can't believe it will actually result in a baby if you know what I mean...

Great news @SunStruck 💜 I tried to enjoy my second pregnancy, even though it didn't have a positive ending, feeling anxious won't make anything bad happen. There's nothing to suggest anything will go wrong this time xx

@SunStruck oh No you didn't 😱!! This is bleedy amazing!! Listen I know it's hard but your pregnant, right now right this second tour pregnant so enjoy it ❤️!! I'd say try not to worry but I don't want an abusive message off of a hormonal mumma to be haha!! Try to relax Hun and go with the flow!! I managed oh to dtd, got peaks on Sunday/Monday after the cp. He wasn't happy at the thought of that happening but happy to dtd haha!! IV not bled for 9 days solid so I'm super happy and don't really want to go for the hysteroscopy, partly because I'm a fanny and partly because I just wanna get on considering I have such time against me! @VenusStarr I hope you find a little peace soon my love, I know after may and all the tests and stress and blaming myself exactly how you feel Hun. @Elles1980 @VenusStarr thanks so much ladies xxx I guess I'm also feeling quite guilty because I had quite a lot to drink on Sunday (I had a BFN in the morning, and it was our anniversary so we went out for a fancy meal... had a cocktail and a bottle of wine 🤦🏻‍♀️). And then I got a BFP today. Implantation must have happened on Sunday as my line was strong.

I hope I haven't managed to damage anything 😳

@SunStruck only damage will be your liver 😂😂!! With my second I was out partying and raving till 16 weeks no idea I was pregnant at all, and she's utterly fine! Don't feel bad Hun it's all gonna be ok 😉. And happy anniversary, what a present that is lol! Lucky ducky! Just re read, on cocktail and a bottle of wine.... Iv had more than that on my cornflakes 😂😂! Nothing to worry about there. How are you feeling in yourself? @VenusStarr how you feeling? Any news on appointments yet? I got mine through but I don't wanna go!

I'm going to the Dr tomorrow for a blood test so hope all is ok and that it is progressing.

@VenusStarr fingers crossed for the letter today! I know it's difficult now when you can't TTC, but try to take this time to do/eat/drink all you want and spend quality time together as that will be difficult when a baby arrives. It has taken us 6 months to get to this point after mmc (and we couldn't try between because I had retained products so we're not allowed, and then needed a second d&c which knocked us back even further as my cycles took ages to go back to normal). It happened quickly for you last time when you tried again, and it will do next time around too. Just that next time around your problems will be fixed so you can relax more that it will go well! I'm rooting for you ❤️

How are all you lovely ladies doing?! IV had peaks over the weekend, managed to get off this sex ban 😂😂😂! So go here crossed! Also IV hardly been bleeding at all since I had the colposcopy so i thought why not go for it 🤷🏻‍♀️? Hope your all well xxx

Hey @Elles1980 how are you? Just at the hospital waiting for my pre-op, no idea when my surgery is but hoping it's soon 🤞 found out our recurrent miscarriage clinic appointment won't be until January 😔 I don't think I can not ttc until then (obv is I've had my surgery and recovered). Ugh.
Been back at work this week, it's OK, only very reduced hours. I think af might be on her way too.

Glad you've got off the sex ban and the bleeding has stopped. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Not great news here unfortunately, my hcg is rising very slowly and I have to go back on Sunday for another blood test to check hcg. I'm not anticipating getting good news 😔 I'm not in pain and am not spotting or bleeding at all though, but I think with the super slow rise there just can't be a good outcome. I'm just hanging in there and trying not to overthink it as I can't do anything about it.

@Venusstarr, that's good news Hun, it may seem like such a long time but really when you look at how long you've been TTC it's a blip!! Have a very drunken Christmas and enjoy because by next year you'll have a baby to look after!! Well this is what I keep telling myself 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄😂!!
This TTC malarkey is crazy it's a total mind f@#k!! Still not bleeding, just had the tiniest spot a couple of days ago but not even a teaspoon so that's just amazing, I'm super pleased 😁, I think I have a fear of blood after the first MC was so bad, I kind of have birth to over 30 baby sized clots and now a little blood makes me so anxious. So not having that for 2 weeks is quite something lol!
@SunStruck oh no that's not great news but also not the worst, some HCG do just rise more slowly, you can never be sure. It's not over till the fat lady sings ......and I'm not singing 😘❤️!! It's so good there's no spotting or pain so hang onto that Hun!!
I feel like we all deserve medals going through this, so glad I can share my crazy weird thoughts with you though and that you get it!!
Also on a last happy note, the sex ban was so easy to break but now since we started the dreaded 2ww he's not come back 😂😂.... I shit you not he's so scared of 👉👌 and seeing blood he's stayed at his own house for the past week 😂!! Here's hoping we all just have bloody beautiful babies soon and we can moan about sore tits and lack of sleep 🙈🤣 xxx

Thanks @Elles1980 I know its not that long really, I can't believe it's been 7 months since I first got pregnant, my due date is in a month.. Glad you're not having bleeding. My period arrived during the night, really bloody painful 😔 I know what you mean about fearing blood, it kind of brings it all back. But, I'm pleased that my cycle seems back to normal - its only a couple of days longer than my usual cycle.

Aw bless you @VenusStarr it's so tough not to think our baby's would be coming soon! Xmas day was my date so if I'm not pregnant by then ima get pissed and climb the tree 😂🤦🏻‍♀️! Anytime I see a spot of blood i go into holy shit mode, I have to get a grip as it's so common to spot in pregnancy, and I don't wanna be one of those crazy ladies who camp up the hospital lol! Aw it's a bit savage your af has come but if your cycles are getting back to normal that's great, it would show signs your body's getting back to normal 👏🏻😁! I'm 12 dpo and resisting testing for fear of disappointment, but also don't feel pregnant at all and have no signs 🙄! I fear the longer this TTC goes on the more batshit crazy I may become 😱! Thank god I have you non judgemental ladies to vent too 😂!

Right..... Fess up who lives closest to Cornwall?? IV done a frer (I believe is the term) and I think we have all establish I'm friggin nuts BUT! Im sure at a certain angle i can see the faintest line.... It's so not just visible though! Can our minds play tricks on us? Surely it's be a strong line by now or am I just wanting it to happen 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😂.... I think iv officially lost it, iKeep looking at it and I'm like nope it's not there, but then I'm like... Oh hang on i Think it is 🙄🙈! Maybe ill State at the wall for half and hour and see a million quid.... Would that come true aswell 😂😂😂!!
